  1. Sorry, unable to assist with ZL Additional idea Show one’s young ones both of the above trips, then let them decide which tour to reject in favour of a ZL. Money is on St Kitts sail being rejected in favour of ZL. The Antigua tour has multiple adrenaline rushes built in, being much greater than a tame ZL
  2. The best of both to be considered. For Antigua, book Adventure Antigua - https://adventureantigua.com - Extreme Circomnav - (Book very early as exceptionally popular and space is limited) For St.Kitts take a day Nevis Catamaran sail, including snorkel, lunch and drinks. Both will not disappoint. Edited 2 hours ago by PORT ROYAL Typo
  3. Apologies……. The Adventure Antigua Tour to book is The Xtreme Circumnav

Central OSJ is not close to a decent public beach. If one books El Convento in central OSJ, then one can use the beach at LC being part of the same group.

  7. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…… So suggest one views the official website of each Tourist Board, then consults a reputable guide on each island, as to sites that can be visited, either by a private or shared tour. To assist, here are two operations, but one can select a personal selected contact. St Kitts = http://www.thenfordgreytours.com Antigua = http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com

  9. Little tip. From about 4 in the afternoon liquid sunshine sometimes appears. So, before leaving on a cruise purchase some cheap plastic disposable Ponchos, for the pocket. Always take to a Caribbean Beach, if not used, then have for next time. If experiencing Liquid Sunshine then one can shelter in the bar (hardship) awaiting cab. Sadly, those on GA will have a Lemming stampede to the sea shuttle and have to Q in the rays.
  10. Consider Coco, book the day with beds in advance https://www.cocobeach.restaurant Walk from taxi to Coco is along flat terrain and children are welcomed. Excellent food and drinks with a special menu for young ones. Give them a call to discuss all one’s group requirements. All will be met at Coco.
  11. It’s nice quiet shabby chic place, away from Babylon and T’erds of Grand Anse, with great views, tasty food and local gin shots, where one’s custom is valued. If this is what one wishes, then it’s a go to place. However, some like the Babylon masses of Grand Anse and all that goes with it, therefore GA is their go to place.
  12. Plywood is on BBC Beach, first section of Morne Rouge Beach
  13. Beach = La Plywood NOT Grand Anse Plenty of shops/stalls selling alcohol, brickabat, souvenirs, spices etc., within the port covered area to satisfy the most discerning of shopper. Also there is an official taxi Despatcher Desk/Kiosk where rates are published, for Tours and the ride to Plywood. Your outward driver will be pleased have one book them for the return. Plywood did have bed rental, think it was $10 for two. La Plywood menu prices a ECD. As a rough calculation into USD divide by two then deduct 25%
  14. Fully understand by MD, that if no “ordinary” black packed, then ordinary brown had to suffice.
  15. On CC there are numerous threads and posts for all Caribbean islands, regarding beaches, day passes, transfers, tours albeit private or shared experiences. Just click on the island link and investigate. There is a wealth of information at one’s fingertips Any subsequent questions can be answered with one posting on the thread.
  16. Next time consider booking.. Cecelia’s for beach day/lunch Or A rock pool at Sheer Rocks Both have great food, ambiance and service. Definitely places one will wish to return to.
  17. Save money? Okay… Here’s one’s travel protocol. One will not recommend it, but many on CC love it for the price. Okay, let’s give facts about the $2/2.50alleged public bus (private minivan- aka Jintys) Walk to Front Street, arrive at Midtown, opposite the Ferry pier, walk down main road (Front Street -Pier to left), turn 1st right, walk down side street, at main T junction you’ll meet Back Street, search up and down Back Street for a Jinty (mini vans) with a sign in windscreen for the required destination, board, wait until van is full before departing. Journey will encompass a meandering journey on/off main roads, stopping to drop people off and pick-up. On arrival at destination agree where the best Jinty pickup point is for passing Jintys for return destination. Returning one has to stand at the pickup point, view from distance/search the windscreens of approaching Jintys for the destination sign required, flag down the Jinty, which may not stop if full. Repeat flagging down process until one finally stops, board. Arrive at destination (Back Street), follow the reverse directions for outward journey. Note the time taken to arrive at destination, from the time one left the ship to destination. Then allow an extra 30 minutes minimum for the return journey for delayed flagging down and heavy port traffic. Good luck. At least one will save a few dollars, which was the sole basis of one’s journey.
  18. Marmalade - Take the wine pairing Menu - Open on a Monday - Book very early, repeat book early, as fills quickly. https://www.marmaladepr.com tasting menus from 5:00pm to 10:00pm mSaturday.
  19. Loake have a good selection of “G” (wide) fit. To assist … Link… https://www.loake.com/fitting/g/
  20. Should one have to pay 20%, or more, for a drink in the Commodore, or Chart, on Cunard, then so be it. It’s only one small part, of so many memorable and enjoyable experiences, when taking a Cunard Voyage. Happy to pay to get what one wishes. Just living life free and easy.
  21. No idea on PJ Store. With regard to excursions, there are many discussions and recommendations under the Island’s thread on CC. If requiring information not immediately available, then just post the question. Someone will reply.
  22. If going to the French side for lunch, remember good Restaurants do get full, so best to book well in advance. Consider La Villa for a shabby chic dining experience with an excellent set Menu (one can upgrade a course, or two, if wished at a nominal fee), plus their wine list is extensive and reasonable.
