  1. @BRDbabies Just as an aside…… Ask one’s steward, plus Mother’s, for two off “Deck Blankets” per person, to keep legs and shoulders warm, if chilly on the balcony. A small gratuity will be appreciated.
  2. The “gratuity” was for the harpist and string ensemble. The offer was for the receiver/s to have a refreshment in the crew bar, or onshore, when off duty.
  3. One has, having enjoyed performances. It was financial when a favourite beverage from the bar was declined due to ship rules. It was not considered rude, or breaking any rules. All were greatly appreciated and in return one was granted a music request. A win/win What goes around…….
  4. Take the thanks…. And the Hapoy Mother Hug.
  5. Be generous and kind. Balcony!…. It’s your Mother….. Put the extra special tours etc on the plastic and forget about the money, one’s Mother is more important.
  6. For the record, When booking onboard the Cunard Fare, plus onboard booking bonus (FCC/FCD) and shareholder benefit can be stacked. EG. when booking onboard Cunard Fare balcony 7 nights say $100 OBC pp (2 pax total = $200) Onboard booking bonus 7 nights = $150 pp (2 pax total = $300) Shareholder benefit = $100 per stateroom (2 pax) - Not immediate - One has to apply later Stateroom total = $600 (2 pax)
  7. All OBC can be used onboard for tours, bars, restaurants, shops, duty free etc. But can not be used as, or part of, a future cruise booking payment. Deposits for future cruises are taken against credit/debit cards. One can book more than one future cruise onboard, if wished.
  8. One understands correctly. Book onboard and receive OBC per person in addition to the Cunard Fare. This OBC replaced the previous FCC (now removed from UK Cruisers). FCC/FCD schedule of benefits…… Cruise Length Onboard Spend 6-9 nights Grill Accommodation $200 USD 6-9 nights Balcony Accommodation $150 USD 6-9 nights Inside/ Outside Accommodation $100 USD 10 nights or more Grill Accommodation $400 USD 10 nights or more Balcony Accommodation $300 USD 10 nights or more Inside/Outside Accommodation $200 USD Then, if shares purchased, more OBC is received as published. A no brainer……..
  9. Also consider purchasing 100 Carnival Shares for even more (free) OBC as a shareholder benefit per stateroom, for one’s currently booked and all future cruises. Share price is around the $10 price will involve a spend of $1000, so it’s possible to get a ROI of $1000 with four off cruises. Anyway, one’s 7 nights will attract $100 OBC (10% ROI) Benefits…
  10. Don’t forget to book one’s next Cunard Voyage onboard to receive additional (free) OBC in addition to the Cunard fare OBC Also consider purchasing 100 Carnival Shares for even more (free) OBC as a shareholder benefit per stateroom, for one’s currently booked and all future cruises.
  11. Consider the thick carpets on Cunard when pushing a weighted wheelchair. Smoking is allowed outside on decks 10 and 3, starboard side. There is no shelter from the elements. Think smoking used to be allowed in the Pavilion Pool starboard side, but not 100% positive that this is still the case. Cigarettes purchased on board in the Duty Free store were allowed to be immediately taken away.
  12. Taking 6050 with mobility (walking) concerns, will give one a long walk to Britannia Restaurant, aft sun deck and Lido Cafe. Suggest an aft stateroom on deck 4 to 7 to take the lift to all three. There will be no problem with secondary smoke inhalation.
  13. Taxi there and back. As rates may have increased since COVID, work on US$60 e/w (per cab) plus tip. Also, to get the most out of one’s visit, suggest a guide. The gardens will give current guide rates.
  14. If it’s just DW and I, then The Pillars is our go to every time.
  15. This ask is definitely in the kind @cruisemom42 territory… Be patient
  16. If no space the consider https://www.marigotbeachclub.com/all-inclusive-day-pass/
  17. https://capmaison.com/blog/day-pass-cap-maison plus https://capmaison.com/blog/cap-maison-st-lucia-f-q-s
  18. Hopefully, some day in the future, one will think “I know I will not spend if I don’t have to, but I now wish to, and experience all that Cunard offers”.
  19. Better is Cap Maison….. Worth the few extra dollars.
  20. Taxi Fare work on $25/30 e/w plus tip Beach conditions can change from one day to another depending on weather conditions. But always a steep drop off. Beds? Say $20/30 per 2 beds and 1 shade. Very, very busy beach…. Locals, holiday makers, condos, cruisers (SHT) etc. There are better places for genteel, discerning cruisers. There is public transport if looking to save money.
  21. One has made this observation for years, but many think they know better.
  22. Also includes private taxi to/from terminal
  23. May one suggest to make a Hilton package booking, then continue searching. This way you have a solid base, then continue the search, knowing one can, as a member, cancel the day before without penalty.
  24. Just remembered - years back - came up in a discussion…..Mayfair Guest House…..
  25. Then, as a last resort, there is “Park on my Drive” as an option.
