Completely agree - prices have really gone up so one has to plan based on what they have. I have flown out of Schipol B.C. (Before covid) and there was a huge difference if you were biz class. Their lounges are lovely too 😉 Biz class does have a separate line. i realize things are a mess right now, but with the easing of covid testing I think (hope) that will make a huge difference for you - especially being biz class. I sure hope it does for me tomorrow at Pearson (which is also a mess) 😉

Thank for our Daily, Rich and a happy Sunday to all of you from Brampton, Ontario. I am just sitting outside in my little Oasis (I rise earlier than my hosts). I slept in late yesterday even with the time change - probably a bit stressed and emotional? These two are the views from where I am sitting. Jane’s climbing rose bush is gorgeous It’s much hotter here and they are calling for T-storms today when we are expecting guests. No matter - we’ll be outside and well protected 😉 They are like me - like to be outside - more room than in the house and much prettier 😉 For Captain DD fans - here is a pic of when we got our silver medals on the Prinsendam. Jane & John and I were on our first cruise together and have stayed friends all these years ♥️ Our captain was very kind doing our pics individually as usual and then called us back up for a special picture of the 4 of us (still in the folder) and one of Jane & I. My good friends Georgina and Gerry are coming today. Georgina & I at the Meet & Greet: Along with my sister and her husband. If it doesn’t rain there might be some swimming or hot tub involved. Prayers for everyone on the Care list & those that need them and 🥂 to those on the Celebratory / Shout Out list. Have a great Sunday all. I’ll probably be catching up at the airport tomorrow (assuming the flight goes 🤞)

Not new - Europe announced they were doing this and frankly, I don’t blame them. The application form should be out this summer and I signed up for email notification. It’s not a hefty fee IMO - take look at airport tax to fly 😉

Greetings everyone from the Saint John Airport. My flight has changed 2 times so far. But the plane did leave Toronto so I should be ok 🤞 A little humour on seating in flights one of my roll call members sent to me Now I have that funny feeling I left something amiss at the house 😂. Guess I am not used to travelling by myself. DH always did the checks. I am always amazed and what people try to bring for carry on luggage. Pearson is a risk but jam and cooked lobster can’t go in carry on so I knew I had to check my normal ‘carry on’ piece. Amazingly enough I was the only one with the bag not opened and inspected. No idea why. Our airport has a new check in system (remember I haven’t travelled since 2019) so maybe the X-Ray gadget is better? I was prepared for a fight on the lobster. They are very specific on how it has to packed. No waxed cardboard I could find. They are wrapped in two ziplock bags, a then a compost bag (I KNOW they don’t leak since I use them for lobster shells) then another ziplock bag & in an insulated freezer bag. My note (and tip) to Fed Ex worked. My neighbour just messaged me to say she had my new Iphone. if it would have only come an hour earlier, I’d have it. Oh well. It’s a relief to know it’s in good hands. Going to see if I can catch up now that I am here. My friends are not normally early risers and if that is still the case, I’ll be on here early in the morning. Not sure what the days hold - but I will definitely drop in if possible. In memory of dear DH - in the Canaletto on the EE where they made us a rose and he was about to present it to me. Happy Anniversary, beloved 💔 Have a great weekend everyone 🙂

I’m escaping from here (as in get me the H out of Dodge) for a long weekend. It’s our anniversary tomorrow and I can’t do this one on my own, don’t think. I’ve done my birthday, mother’s and father’s day but this is going to be too much. Escaping to friends I haven’t seen in 4 years and other friends and my sister are joining us. Sorry, I’m behind and had a bunch of posts I was going to multi quote but the day just went downhill. Maybe tomorrow at the airport? 🤞 I got a call (automated) that my new phone is being delivered tomorrow and requires a signature. Fed Ex needs the shipper to modify instructons. Apple can’t change it - I went around in circles for over 2 hours when I should have been packing and cleaning not to mention the FCL and my spread sheets. Oh well I’ll see what happens tonight. I was told it was coming from Texas so I knew it wouldn’t get here by tomorrow. Nope - Montreal. I am crossing my fingers - have left a note for the Fed Ex guy to cross the street and take it to my neighbour who will on the watch for them. Honest to Pete - what’s next?

No worries my friend - I was talking about Canadian airlines as I tried to say earlier (perhaps I didn’t say it well) we are affected by cancellations too, don’t get me wrong. I think they thought they could get things moving faster than they could - just like the cruise lines - just like a lot of people in the travel industry, Don’t get me wrong. I am NOT happy with the change to my flight coming home nor the flight forcing me to stay in FLL and (no disrespect intended) avoid U.S. airline carriers like the plague. I just get tired of the litigious reactions to so many things. HAL had cancelled cruises. Everyone is disappointed but no one is suing them that I know of. The travel industry is struggling to catch up and keep up in all sectors. Will I vent and scream if my flight is cancelled? Damn right I will. But I already know it’s a huge risk and have been watching for 3 days for my flight on Friday. No worries if we agree to disagree. 😉

Oh my apologies Jake. Most of my cats were Siamese back in the day (Between DH and I we had 5 cats LOL) however my rescues were tuxedoes at times and they were alway evil finding something to get into. I certainly can’t say the others were blameless 😂. Tip - never teach a Siamese to play fetch (they never stop) or to flush the toilet to avoid cat litter (they love running water and will flush over and over and over 😉 But my tuxedo broke every rule in the book - constantly- reaching out to friends I heard the same thing - notorious. My sincere apologies if coloured Tucker with the same brush 😳 I honestly never thought about that. I as too upset about the phone and bag 😢 Thanks for the silver lining. I’m not good at finding them these days.

Yes they were very close - in my parking space - my purse is a favourite from Spain and I only found it in one spot. I doubt it can be replaced either. I’m not materialistic but it was one DH and I chose together. ‘Sigh I am not Jack but I have had several “winter” dogs - Maverick, Marley and Fox to name a few. The key (for me) was brushing, keeping them groomed to thin the double coat and making sure they didn’t spend too long outside. and like @Heartgrove said - they do blow their coats. Fond memories with his pictures ♥️ I had a temperature gage that I used faithfully. And on normal days, they loved to be out with me while I planted and worked on the planters. On high hot days - we did a mini walk on the neighbours grass to satisfy them and they were in the house except for “business” and few minutes of outsided. I hear you. If it makes you feel any better we have no sidewalks on our street. Pretty much, Ann. They moved in too close - realized they hit something and backed off some fast and took off. No license plates any more in New Brunswick on the front of cars so it is a lost cause. Can’t believe this. OMG so sorry to hear this - prayers for your DH 🙏🏻 Brand new (for me) Ann - got it to get through to the hospital easier for Jose. (Doors were locked and you had to phone. My very old, ancient Samsung was burping so I changed. It was less than 3 months old 😔
