  1. IIRC, the suite room service breakfast had an add on in 2019 - some types of eggs benedict and the mimosas, smoothie and I think the Bloody Mary were free. It seems to me a couple of other things were too. I don’t think the app ever showed the Suite room service breakfast to prevent confusion. I remember we could see it in 2019 - but it was just the standard room service breakfast. I was doing a LIVE thread and one of my roll call members let me take a pic of their room service menu for comparison sake. I think I posted them both but once CC changed their forum a lot of my pics posted from tap a talk disappeared, sadly.
  2. Testing my memory are we? 😂 I believe it probably was IIRC but back then it made no difference if you were in a Neptune Suite or not. The breakfast menu was the same for everyone. Remember, it’s around 6 years ago 😉 And there were definitely different omelettes on the menu. There were in 2019 too - just can’t lay my hands on the card pic currently.
  3. I have never booked a non-refundable deposit until this year. I simply took the platinum insurance at booking. and I had good reason to do so - a much better price for a solo. I added the Have it all package on after and the cruise was FAR cheaper for me as a solo than if I had booked it refundable with either Advantage or HIA fare. Sorry, @Oceansaway17 I disagree with you - my pricing as a solo was far superior as I pointed out above. And from experience, I know HAL welcomes, solos, children, etc. It’s a matter of reading your terms and conditions and / or asking the questions so you now what you have before you buy it. We each have a responsibility to do that with any purchase we make IMO. 😉
  4. The gremlins were at work I guess. All that posted were the pics 😱
  5. Thanks for our Hump Day Daily, Rich. I’ll celebrate nature photography with a photo my BIL sent me. it’s special and thoughtful of him as he took the pic with one of Jose’s lenses that he was gifted. Very sweet of him to show me he was using it ♥️ Smiles are needed every day - as many as we can get. LOL on today’s quote 😆 😂 Very grateful to my neighbours who are going to save me a trip to the West Side (about a 35 minute drive) to deliver some shoes and clothes to the Hospice store. (Just the beginning - we’ll see which gets cleaned up first - clothes or books - there’s a gazillion of both). I am doing my best to stay focused driving - but I wasn’t prepared for that long a drive - especially on the highway, yet. Seems I am out every day as it is with appointments or errands that have to be attended to. At long last, the lupins are in bloom - they make a nice contrast with the Irises. and up close: Very glad to see the lilac in bloom. If the rain didn’t wreck the flowers I think I will pick a few for me today 😉 @erewhonthank you for your kind comment on the hostas. They always seem to be healthy and happy in their locations even though some need splitting. That will have wait until the Fall. You are going to be some busy the guests and visits and especially Miss Lana Jayne. Hope you are not too worn out when it is all over with! Do they knock or run? 😂. Seriously, so sorry you are both stuck in covid prison but happy to hear you are getting some things ironed out. Your suggestion was a good one and would make sense to do so the same questions aren’t asked over and over. That is such good news! Hurray! Very impressed that they not only cleaned up but also helped transfer Tana and her equipment. What gems they were ♥️ Lovely, Carol! 👍 LOL Gerry - sorry, but birthdays don’t lie. A very happy birthday to your DS. Hopefully it does stay this time 🤞 i sure hope it works for you 🤞 Prayers for everyone on the Care list & for those that need them and a 🥂 to those on the Celebratory Shout Out list. Have a great Wednesday, everyone. Stay safe & please don’t forget your 😷 when / where needed.
  6. Here’s one from 2017 to compare - can’t find the more recent ones B.C. (Before Covid.
  7. Often used - officeofthepresident@hollandamerica.com this link gives you some others as well - https://www.elliott.org/company-contacts/holland-america/
  8. OH NO! It is crazy - I agree. So very sorry to hear this 😢 And, very fervent prayers for Buddy 🙏🏻
  9. I hear you on the agenda - especially when complaints are about some ports in Europe being too far from the spot the want to visit. Sheesh. It doesn’t take a lot of research (even reading HAL shore excursions) to know what ports are a distance from Rome, Florence, etc. Smart to post and then to delete 😉
  10. Everyone is Northward Bound - some to the lovely Northern Isles & another to Alaska. Any of the itineraries look lovely 👍 No matter which itinerary our CC friends have chosen, we wish them great times in their ports, beautiful sightings and scenery and hope they have a wonderful time on their Blue Hulled Beauties. And, of course we wish them fair winds and smooth seas. Bon Voyage to Nieuw Statendam - 14 night Northern Isles: MikeD4134 - have a great 34th anniversary celebration on board! Bon Voyage to Nieuw Statendam - 24 day Northern Isles & Baltic Jewels: Lucie73821 Bon Voyage to Zuiderdam - 7 day Inside Passage: rass2008 - hope you enjoy your 1st HAL cruise & anniversary celebration on board Bon Voyage everyone !!!!! Have a great cruise and a WONDERFUL time !!!!!
  11. thanks for confirming 👍 I thought that’s what you meant but I don’t trust myself these days. If your cruise ends up being cancelled, I am sure HAL will extend your FCC 🤞 Excellent on refundable - that’s what I have been doing too, flight and hotel wise. I hope you have a great cruise on her and, of course, I’m happy to get it added for you 🙂
  12. Happy to add them both for you, Marie 😄. Your plans are identical to mine switching ships - except I will be on the N Amsterdam. And delighted we might actually finally sail together after our planning on the other cruse. Who knows? We could both be on the same flight together 😆 Wonderful and a honeymoon cruise too? Oh my ♥️ Hope there is lot’s of love in the air and my pleasure to add it for you 👍
  13. I thinks she was too. Bless her ❤️ Prayers that all goes well and he has a quick recovery 🙏🏻 and that the surgery helps 🙏🏻
  14. Oh you are a lucky duck. I love Captain Van Eerten. It should be a good cruise with him at the helm 🤞 I wish we had him in November but I’m afraid the contracts won’t work out that way. Woo Hoo! That makes life easier for some of my sailing friends. Thanks 🙂 👍
  15. You can check in right away based on my past experience. We were in Venice overnight - trust me, people weren’t staying on board after check in 😉. I’ve been researching Trieste as we are overnight there before disembarkation and it looks like a lovely spot - well worth exploring on it’s own. 👍
  16. Oh dear, Sandi - so glad that your niece spoke up. I can understand your twin having a bad feeling 😢 Hopefully tomorrow is a better day and the MRI is successful 🙏🏻. It must be so hard for you - so far away. I feel for you ❤️ Oh how awful, Sandi 😔. I am so sorry this has happened to you 💔 Oh ugh on an obstructed OV in covid jail. The delays in food sound awful. Definitely order before you are hungry 😱 that is a real bummer. I still don’t get quarantine now. If everyone is vaccinated and boosted then why not just require you to wear a mask to protect others? I’m no doctor but I know what DH thought about it. Those fully vaccinated should not get seriously ill so shouldn’t be a serious thing. I’m so sorry you are a prisoner for so long 😞 We’ll be thinking of you, your family and sister on Thursday. It will be a difficult day for all of you 😢 Oh dear for your poor brother. I hope they can be expeditious on this 🙏🏻 Take it from one who knows - a few of those only helps for a few minutes and then it gets worse. Nothing numbs the pain for this stuff as hard as we try 💔 I am so sorry you are going through so much all at once. Too much grief and loss. My prayers are with you 🙏🏻
  17. Will do Ann. I am pretty confident you have / will find good replacement cruises 😉 I am a bit confused by this where you say “so far is GO”. Zuiderdam is cancelled - to that. N Amsterdam is now doing it - got that too. Just not sure if you have moved to the N Amsterdam or have cancelled the cruise. Sorry if I’m a tad “thick”. I’ll get these two removed for you. Lovely! Happy to add it for you 🙂
  18. I hope he meds do the trick 🤞 Love it! Congrats!!! Nothing much works here - except a fence or a gun (we opted for the former 😉) I am so sorry to hear this. It’s so hard when we lose our fur babies. My sincere sympathy - it’s such a painful time.
  19. Thanks for the Tuesday Daily, Rich. A salute to Flag Day to our American friends. Our Canadian flags fly here every day 👍 Blood donors are a boon to so many. Love baths - so I can celebrate International Bath day. Oh that quote of Mark Twain about lies travelling is so true. Looks like another rainy day here. It’s ok, I still have lots of inside stuff to do 😔 and sorting. Optometrist appointment shortly (catching up on all those appointment I had to postpone while DH was in the hospital) and will be taking one collection of eyeglasses with me. They donate them to the 3rd world countries. Hoping for time after to visit Jose’s BF of many years and his wife. I gave him Jose’s hearing aids (which he desperately needed) and have found more “stuff” that goes with them that might be of use. If not, it will be on the list for tomorrow. One plant deer don’t eat - aliums: DH bought this hydrangea a couple of years ago and made me find a place for it. This is the best bloom it has had so far. And no, it’s not an azalea even though it looks like one 😉 @rafinmdRoy, a sad day for you indeed. I pray that good memories can help you with the overwhelming sadness I am sure you are feeling today 💔 Prayers for everyone on the Care list & for those that need them & a 🥂 to those on the Celebratory list. Have a great Tuesday everyone! Stay safe and please don’t forget your 😷 when / where needed.
  20. Good for you! Ignore my post - sorry about that. Congrats 👏 👏 🏆
  21. Ok - I’m not a genius on those but if you click on your pic to you get the option to edit? - something like this? (Circled in yellow). If you do and you click edit - somewhere you should get an option to turn the pic around - on my IPad it’s here: (circled in yellow) Once you click it you will get the option to turn your pic around: Just click until you get the pic right side up and done. And…
  22. are you using an Iphone or Ipad for the pics, Colin? If you are, I can help.
  23. Yikes 😱 I had a white knuckle ride once and it is not fun an no where near as long as the ride you had. Glad to hear you will share your experience with the owner. 👍
