You can check in right away based on my past experience. We were in Venice overnight - trust me, people weren’t staying on board after check in 😉. I’ve been researching Trieste as we are overnight there before disembarkation and it looks like a lovely spot - well worth exploring on it’s own. 👍

One plant deer don’t eat - aliums: DH bought this hydrangea a couple of years ago and made me find a place for it. This is the best bloom it has had so far. And no, it’s not an azalea even though it looks like one 😉 @rafinmdRoy, a sad day for you indeed. No you don’t have to wear a dress, never fear 😉 You just have to be dressed nicely - so yes nice pants with a blouse or jacket will suffice. The soda card had gone the way of the dodo. Thee is a Quench package you can purchase (assuming you do not have Have it All) which allows for all soft drinks, etc (non alcoholic). the package is cheaper than the Signature Beverage Package and is limited to 15 drinks per day. Your Rotterdam cup question is in regards to the fountain stations they have. Haven’t sailed on her but my understanding is that the stations are in the Lido so no place to refill the cup in the other restaurants. Hopefully someone with experience on her can confirm/correct/ expand.

Thanks for the Daily, Rich. I thought I would try to start the week out right by posting here 😉 I am in slow motion as it seems to take longer to do anything these days. And some days doing anything much can be a challenge. I was a day early celebrating weed your garden day. I knew it would rain today so forced myself to face the music and start to clean up. I’ve let the garden go, sadly and must now pay the price. I’ve barely had a chance to truly enjoy the fruits of the years’ labours. And I guess I can definitely celebrate kitchen klutz day. I’ve certainly been a huge klutz in the kitchen for the last few months 😱 That quote is ever so true. The meal suggestion sounds delish. Garden Club (and animal lovers) as you know, deer are the bane of my existence. This is why I have a fence. That picture was taken from a great distance. You can walk right up to them and they don’t move. They are just too used to humans and dogs. And voracious garden destroyers. I know lots of people think they are beautiful but this gardener hates them. I would never have these or any other flowers if I didn’t have fencing. DH wanted me to plant this one. They are all headed to cooler weather for the wonderful scenery and sight offered. Interesting on the S2S. I have been calling them B2B’s on the Future Cruise Listing & Bon Voyage threads. Way back, when the first one appeared I went checking - Apparently they are commonly called B2B by Cruise Critic definitions so that’s what I did. “What are back-to-back cruises? My memory is short but I believe that the ready made sandwiches were left out until very late - close to Lido opening time for dinner. Pizza is available from 11 am on. On the ships that have the NY Pizza station, it is made to order along with salads, etc. The other ships - the pizza is there but not exciting IMO. and of course, Dive In is open as well as room service. This was all B.C. (Before Covid).
