I think a back up flight is a good idea. I actually did that when I was stuck in Toronto. Booked a flex flight (so fully refundable) and did NOT check in until the fate of my original flight was known. Once I knew it was really going I cancelled the back up. Everything will be refunded. Can’t blame you for being excited 👍 Good plan on the M & G name tags, etc. I always have my invites & name tags in my carry on too 😉 I am sure you will have a great turnout and hope you have a wonderful cruise! Thanks for the TGIF Daily, Rich. Interesting collection of days. I’ll pass on the body painting and motorcycles. I made some blueberry / strawberry jam a few days ago - does that count? In honour of yesterday’s chocolate day… LOL on the quote. Ooh a chardonnay today. Looking forwad to cat’s description. We’ve been to St. Peter Port - loved it - will look for pics after. Well, after I got Jose’s clothes dropped off and found a home for the wire hangers and some of the plastic, I nipped to the local grocery store for some bread and eggs & saw a sign that all perennials and shrubs/vines were 50% off in their garden centre. Uh oh. I should have known better than to go look. I guess I was filling in for Jose who always came home with something and I asked where the H do you want me to put this? I do know where 3 of them are going. The 4th is a question mark 😉 Amazingly the credit card machine did not reject with “you have too many plants”. Hope the tonado high wind and hail warning is all for naught and I will be able to get things done outside today. I was drained after doing the clothes so worked on the overdue spread sheets instead. Yes, I found the right password and while it works differently than my laptop with a bit of work, I can get it to do what I want on the spread sheet. Have to watch my fingers though as the keyboard is different 😡 Feeling for all those people who are stranded by the airlines (been there done that) or whose baggage is in never-ever land. It’s a variety of goat’s beard. Who said anything about cleaning 😂. At least I did clean up after the jams 😆 😉 How wonderful! Have a great time together. When I cancelled my cruise with DH in the hospital - I wasn’t sad - I just wanted to be with him. Yay! I always say I failed (i wasn’t positive). Great news! I am so glad to hear that your DH has new doctor who is good and offering solutions. I know it will take time but it is ever so encouraging 🙏🏻

I have to admit - I don’t have a plan. I just do what I can when I can stomach doing it. With the rain yesterday - It just seemed like I should buckle down and try to get somewhere. Until I’m done, I can’t get the upstairs in order. I have enough clothes hangers now to outfit an entire store! Now to find someone who wants them. Sheesh.

Thanks for our Thursday Daily, Rich. A lot of people are going to be happy today and celebrate with chocolate 😉 Forgiveness is needed everywhere. I so wish my father was still here on earth to take a walk with. I don’t think I can agree with today’s quote. Yum on today’s meal. Love Cobb salad - especially if someone else does all the work like on a BHB 😉 The back of my SUV is stuffed with more bags of clothes to give to Community Living and my kind neighbour is delivering 4 big bins of clothing to the Hospice Shop. This is the second time and I’m still not quite done. Painful but it has to be done. 💔 Once delivered the rest of the day will be filled with spread sheet updates, a visit with a dear friend and gardening. I have some left over fried (really baked but it has a coating) chicken in the fridge so I will be sort of celebrating fried chicken day. It’s definitely umbrella day here. Raining and will be all day. I like the quote by Emerson. It’s true - you can be yourself with real, dear old friends. Geiranger is on our itinerary for next year. Have a great tour booked and really looking forward to the day 🙂 Well, with it raining - I guess I will have to do some work in the house (house work? 😱) as well as take some time to sort more clothes for giving away 😔. the clothes are a never ending job - despite how much has been given to good causes, there is still a lot to deal with. Thanks for our Tuesday Daily, Rich. Interesting collection of days - yum on apple turnovers. I’ve never worn a bikini and this is not the time to start 😉 I’ve been a bit of a work-a-holic between jams, cruise planning & gardening 😆 Not sure I would use that Rowling quote talking to others. Oh on the meal suggestion - Jose would be in 7th heaven if he was presented with these. He loved them. We’ve been to Stockholm a couple of times and enjoyed it. The sail in through the archipelago is fantastic. Things improved quite a bit yesterday, thankfully. I got a long awaited call (after being bounced around for 6 weeks) from My Health NB on my QR code for my proof of vaccination. (It had my middle name on it which has been dropped from all of my I.D. because of my very long name with 2 last names). then another call with a name and phone number if it wasn’t fixed by Thursday. And this morning when I went to look - IT’S FIXED. That is a big happy dance for me for travel. And my new batch of jam set as usual 👍 I don’t have enough rhubarb for the next batch and the pickings were poor at the country market (which is why I didn’t get more) so I picked some at my neighbours in exchange for another jar of jam. Seemed like a fair deal to me 😉 I love slicing and dicing in front of these. Thanks. Afraid not. The light connected to the same plug is working fine. The charger is getting juice - I can see the light. Not to worry - it will get sorted out one way or the other.

the laptop is admittedly old. I’ve replaced the battery twice (it used to get used a lot) for it and I know it’s not the battery. I took it out and plugged in the charger and nothing. If it were the battery, the laptop would have worked. The charger is lit up so it’s working but nothing is happening where it goes into the laptop. I’m not going to worry about it today. I’ll see what my guy says - If it’s an easy fix, fine. The laptop isn’t worth putting major $$$$ into it.

I have a feeling something is gone. I’m going to call my tech guy tonight (if he’s not on the road) and see if he has any words of wisdom or can help. The laptop doesn’t owe me anything but I don’t want to buy a new one. I only use that stuff when absolutely necessary. 😉 I am sure you can revive them Carol. Give them a gentle watering, let it soak in and then water again. You might have to do it over a few hours for today and maybe tomorrow. Plants are more resilient than we think. If there are a lot of dead flowers, dead head them so they put their energy in their growth and don’t waste it on trying to make seeds.

Fortunately it’s not hot enough here to fry an egg on the sidewalk 😉 DH would 100% agree with Oscar’s quote 😉 and yum on today’s meal and the wine even if it is too pricey 😉 Well yesterday went to H in a hand basket some fast. First it appears the jam is not going to set 😡 No idea why. Then I went out to hang out the laundry, treat the weeds on the flagstone & work on the gardens. Got a small one done and the skies opened and the rain poured. Tore the laundry off the line and in the house. Now the weed kill will have to be re-applied and the weeds will be taller today. That’s 2 things, right? Went to work on the spread sheets for my roll calls took a break and plugged the laptop back in and it’s not charging. All the usual tests didn’t solve the problem. Sheesh. A scarecrow doesn’t keep deer away and I usually don’t like what I see in the mirror 😉 I have kind of “had it’ with disobedient people these days 😉 But… I do love the quote - it is a true definition of love. And, a white wine today - yum 😄 Well, I finished 2 batches of pure strawberry jam (freezer) yesterday. I think I have enough left for one final jam which will be a cooked one. Since people seem to like it I have this wild and crazy idea to gift a jar to each couple that comes to Jose’s Celebration of life this summer with a note thanking them for coming from Jose and I. I think I should have enough by the time I am done? The sun is breaking through so that means gardening and a ton of weeding whether I want to or not. Hopefully I can make some good headway. 🤞 I’m ignoring the warnings of potential T-storms.
