I definitely have celebrated I Forgot Day - especially over the last few months 😉 Nice on the recreation day for the disabled. 👍 A special birthday today - Elsa Lessard turns 100. A great Canadian - she and her team of code breakers are estimated to have shortened WW II by 2 years & saved 1/4 million lives. With deep gratitude and best wishes to her for a very happy birthday ! 🎂 That Rowling quote is ever so true. Yum on the Spanish frittata. 👍 Enjoyed Honolulu and we enjoyed a performance at the Chief’s Luau that evening. Looks like I mucked up yesterday. Worked away making two batches of strawberry rhubarb jam (it seems to be liked) and a batch of blueberry strawberry freezer jam. foolishly thinking I would have time to garden and when I realized I wouldn’t I said ok, I’ll do it tomorrow - and, of course - it’s raining. 😔. I guess that means I finish one batch of strawberry jam once I buy more sugar 😉 Well, I best get moving if I am going to accomplish anything. I slept in very late - not at all like me. Can’t help with your other question but for devices - only one device at a time. It works just like it did on NCL.

They have some new people and while they are supposed to email, some don’t. I discovered that when I called as I had not received an email either. Mine had been applied and my TA provided me with a new confirmation confirming same. If you have been waiting for 16 days, I would contact World Cruise department to see if it has been processed or needs to be re-submitted.

But, if I didn’t return it there would have been an $800 charge so I played ball. Going to be a busy weekend as I have a ton of gardening to do - a ton. And silly me - having given away most of my jam and hearing how much it is enjoyed - I bought a flat of strawberries yesterday and more rhubarb. Op, you can certainly arrange for course by course dining in your room for dinner (evening meal). You usually need to ask the day before IME. Traditional perks include being escorted on board and one of the very first to board. There could be other perks as well depending on the ship but believe me the concierge knows where you are and will do as much as possible to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. the remainder of the perks are the same as Neptune Suites. Have a great cruise and enjoy that PS and the tub on the verandah 🙂

My friends I was visiting are going on a Norway cruise and just got the same email as Lisa’s. One booster (which they have ) and no testing 👍 This matches my reply to their survey. As far as I am concerned if everyone is fully vaccinated (that includes a booster if too much time has elapsed) I don’t see the need for testing. those that are vaccinated have mild symptoms 99.9 % of the time IF they test positive. Many do not even feel sick. That was the whole purpose of the vaccine. 👍 it’s good news as far as I am concerned and I hope it applies to our cruise in the Fall. Spain doesn’t require testing for me to enter - just proof of vaccination and booster.

I just now realized you were cruising in 2 days. Sorry I missed it - I was travelling at the time. But…I need people to post 3 weeks in advance or at least enough time to have it on the current listing which is where I do the Bon Voyage threads from. I do them a week before sailing - not the day of. Sorry.

That seems odd. Our shore excursions for that port have been up for some time and the sailing is not until May 2023

Thanks for our Thursday Daily, Rich. Nice collection of days. We should all celebrate Social Media Day as without Social Media we wouldn’t have Cruise Critic and our wonderful family here on it. Love the quote and I do enjoy an occasional mojito - very refreshing ! Busy day today - have to get out to get some food (bread is no good after more days away than I had planned 😉) and have to get the old phone off before Apple charges me for the replacement 😉. And then the gardens and spread sheets await me. Hopefully, I have enough energy for it all after the previous 40 hours 😬 As you can tell by the pics, my peonies bloomed while I was away. Poor Jaguar and poor you 😢 You did what was right for Jaguar - it takes a special strength and is very painful 💔 Jaguar will always be with you ♥️ I had a couple of carry on’s - one very small and one true carry on size but on the way up, I expanded it and had to check it as it had lobster, jam and jellies in it. Not allowed in carry on (jams are considered liquids and lobster that is shelled is considered caustic) I forgot that the stuff I packed them in to prevent breakage and keep the lobster cold would take up room and need to come home. LOL. They were worth it though as the lobster arrived safe and the jams were fine - nothing broken 👍 When they changed my plane last night to the puddle hopper and told me that there would be no sky jet to place a bag on, I decided to check the one that had nothing valuable in it. It actually turned out to be a good choice. Long walk to the shuttle bus stop and much easier with one less bag to manage and one less bag to manage when you are in the lounge. I have no partner now to watch the bags while I go to grab something for us. Nexus should get you priority security in most airports, Ann - it was definitely there in Pearson.

I like this quote but I’m glad I saw it now when I am home instead of at the zoo (aka Toronto airport). Prayers for a successful surgery 🙏🏻 In November this year? We arrive on the Oosterdam. But I do arrive in Rotterdam next year on the N Statendam - assuming I get the nerve to fly again 😉 and, wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles…I am home and so is my bag (surprisingly enough). My sweet neighbour was there waiting for me. She wasn’t having me take a dirty cab home after the ordeal for the last 40 + hours. For anyone flying, I recommend biz class - or any class that gets you priority security clearance. That was one of my saving graces going through twice. I normally avoid T.O. Like the plague for connections but since my friends and family live there / near there - it was not an option to skip this time.

And delayed. Maintenance problem, supposedly. Same thing that delayed leaving on Friday.

I think I am going to need one at the end of this 😉 And it really is a Hump Day - like get over the hump to get home 😂 I think 1/2 of the last 24 hours will have been spent at the airport and (with luck) finally in the air. And, I am getting creative. My boarding pass didn’t open the priority security gate for me so I used last night’s and “open sesame’. No way was getting in that 2 mile line up unless I had to. OMG. As one lady said to me - if you have time to spare - go by air. I thought that was the best I have heard so far (but remember I am sleep deprived). With covid, if you want to order in the lounge you need to scan to your phone. Same for the elevator to get to the lounge. Well, we all know kazu doesn’t have one on her - I’ve had two gentlemen come to my rescue so far (without asking). Canadians truly can be very nice and kind ♥️ Now to hope for my flight, that it’s on time and the little bag I checked last night gets on this plane. that’s an awful lot to hope for isn’t it?
