Willdra's Heavenly Carnival Horizon Apr. 29-May 7 Cruise Review
TeresaJ replied to willdra's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I'm with you, I don't like to eat early, especially on a cruise! I would get too tired and sleepy and want to go straight to bed! We sailed Horizon in January. We also had a balcony cabin on deck 7. Enjoying your review. Thanks for sharing! -

Are you saying the party crowd doesn't carry a passport? I'm confused. -
Cancelling with Carnival Protection Coverage......
TeresaJ replied to awhitleycrew's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Well that sucks, but I say don't let this loser ruin your fun. I know once your daughter is on the cruise, she will enjoy it. And I agree with husband, the ex-boyfriend should definitely not be going! We have hesitated to book a cruise with our college age kids and their significant others for this very reason! You just never know. I thought you can change the name of your passengers in your planner online so maybe if you find someone to replace him, you can just update the name online? But maybe that's before final payment...not sure on all of that, but just a suggestion to look into. Enjoy your family vacation. -
TxTeach79's Pride LIVE 5/28: Post Drydock European Adventure!
TeresaJ replied to TxTeach79's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Really enjoyed this review from the start. Thank you for letting us follow your adventure. I told my husband we have to book a European cruise now! 😁 Hard to believe the cruise is actually over already! I enjoyed coming home from work in the evening and catching up. Safe travels on the rest of your journey. Hope your luggage makes it safely home with you. 😄 -
Sometimes people book a cruise and then realize they can't go for whatever reason. The OP was looking for suggestions or personal experience, not judgments for cancelling. Wow. Sorry, I don't have personal experience.l but I have read on here that you can cancel a non refundable deposit and change the cruise for a fee. I would try calling Carnival and see. Good luck!

TxTeach79's Pride LIVE 5/28: Post Drydock European Adventure!

Wow, what an amazing itinerary! I will be following along! -
I have sailed both! I liked both ships but I would choose Epic unless the cost savings are huge compared to Legend. European cruises tend to be port heavy so ship amenities might not be as important at the end of the day.

It's Time for a CELEBRATION!!! (with pics) - April 16th 2023
TeresaJ replied to Jamman54's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Thank you for sharing your vacation with us! I love all the pictures and the details. We are going on Mardi Gras in January so I will have to go back and read your review of that ship too. Cheers! -
Like others have said, look into Ft Lauderdale airport. We have flown into FLL many times for cruises out of Miami. It is only about 45 minutes from the cruise port. Sometimes a lot less expensive.

We have sailed the Escape and really enjoyed our cruise. But really, having to book all your dining and shows before the cruise negates the whole freestyle thing. They should have availability especially if the places aren't busy! Also, cruising during spring break definitely is more crowded. Glad you still enjoyed your vacation!

Excited to read your review! We just booked Panorama for December. Never sailed out of the west coast before. We have been on land vacations to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta so we are excited to visit these ports! -
Looking forward to your review! I have followed some of your Carnival reviews so I look forward to your experience on Celebrity! Have a blast!

Great review, thank you for sharing! I am a Carnival and NCL cruiser and a lurker of all other cruise lines so I will need to read your Virgin Voyages review now. I love your writing style and point of view. Also, I love a good margarita, what do you put in yours? They always look delicious, makes me want to make one here at home. -
Thank you.

Does the Vibe beach club on Encore have a pool or just hot tubs or both? Considering the passes for our Encore cruise in March of 2024 as they are available right now.
-
We have been on 2 Norwegian cruises and Great Stirrup got cancelled both times. Hoping third times a charm next March on Encore. Thanks for the live review!
-
We were on Freedom in July and the aft (Tides) pool was adults only. There are also 2 hot tubs back there too. My husband and I spent a lot of time there!

My Brief-ish Thoughts on Horizon 8 Day S. Caribbean
TeresaJ replied to Ariel0185's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
There are certain areas of the ship that feel chilly and others warm. As we headed to our cabin on deck 7 tonight we walked almost the length of the ship and we found noticeable temperature ranges from cold, warm, to chilly, etc. just in the hallway. Not consistent. Edit: I have not noticed warm temps in other public areas but maybe it's just me. -

It's pretty frustrating as you know. They fixed it and the temperature is tolerable but not real cool by any means. -
My Brief-ish Thoughts on Horizon 8 Day S. Caribbean
TeresaJ replied to Ariel0185's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
We are currently on the Horizon and our cabin is hot. I am not a person who likes it especially cold but my husband slept without a sheet or blanket last night and we both woke up this morning both feeling like there was no air in our room. We mentioned it to the cabin steward this morning and we just got back to our cabin after being out all day and it's hot in here! So I called guest services and they sent a tech down and he measured our room at 78 degrees! They are now calling in a technician to further come look at it. We are in a balcony on the 7th deck. 😒
