we could live with 5:30 every night in Cyprus ( or Tuscan) on our APEX cruise but wish we had more control over choices as we did initially! please let us know how this works out pork chop looks great.. esp is not drued out!

Apparently it depends on each ship. Already a few threads abt this. We had no luck with APEX..they switched us to 6 pm ..we dine earlier than that! We did get a set res for Silhouette.. we'll see what happens at the door to MDR.

i actually forgot what they have now.. We bring our own plastic disposable straws and a few food containers in case we have to forage at the buffet.

great idea! I finally succumbed to some high end silks.... Our dtr is not good with live plants, and we usually lose a few when we head to Fla for a few months...Now I have to put signs on the silks.." fake..do not water!" On the ship, however, the faux plants might turn a funny green color when exposed to bright sunshine. Maybe live cacti would work okay.. We'll be on APEX in January.. so will see if they change anything there.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed Tuscan and Lawn Grill. I think we have Tuscan , Lawn Club and Murano booked... and will try Sushi on 5 for lunch (limited nenu esp with my husb's lobster allergy). We liked the porch when it first opened.. had a fresh made brunch menu..but now it is pricey and offers completely diff menu. Sometimes there was too much sun put there..But have not been on Silhouette in yrs! No interest in LPC.. we much preferred Q sine. Enjoy!

Enjoyed your review.. we sometimes visit Cosmopolitan for sit down breakfast.. nice menu, good service and hot food. Also nice for lunch..but too busy for dinner. Hope you have a smooth trip home..What's up next? thanks for Vine info.. interesting.. sometimes reviews do make a difference. We stay away from any item that is noted as "frequently returned"

The lobsters served In Luminae on BEYOND were tiny..Our waiter automatically plated 2 of them per order. These are not the same as New Eng lobster where you have to " bib up"

but we have also had some wonderful times at precruise dinners .. just with other couples or a larger group.. in Cv, Italy, pre cruise I helped organize a pre cruise dinner at a local restaurant....walkable from several hotels... We ended up with abt 30 people..inside and outside, and were treated like family by the owners and staff. Enjoyed great food, fresh bread, wine, cheese fruit, desserts...very memorable. Cruise Critic roll calls were much closer groups before fb came along.

any info abt specialty venues would be appreciated.. we are booked for Dec and have res at a few.. thanks enjoy! VAT situation not ideal!

great idea.. yes we loved the gardens, wineries and chinatown but missed any time near the hotel.. maybe next time!

Just curious, any reason why you will stay onboard at Victoria? We have done tours there but would enjoy another look around near the hotel area.. Sounds like you have a great vacation planned..will enjoy your posts!

it has beem like that for many years! Pushed by Royal C ... On one Royal C cruise yrs ago, on Radiance, west coast, the roll call was fully absorbed with posters' D status levels, and who might be lucky enough to hear from the Upgrade Fairy ( no move up program back then). This obsession continued at our pre criuse roll call dinner.. very boring topic by then..One man got the upgrade fairy call during dinner& went bananas! We left early!

or OP could call X for info and then book online if preferred!

or limit to Suite guests and Zeniths, if space available for the Zs.....end the reciprocity for Pins..They are "gifted in " while Zeniths earned it & suite guests paid for access! probably more Pins than Zs so not really an equal perk!

Q sine was one if the most creative restaurants Celeb offered..great concept, cool Wonderland style decor. Had excellent food with unique presentation . order on I pad.. Much better than the cartoon with limited menu!

could not read but is it b/c they use too much electricity? Outdoors may be fine in the shade, but so nice to cool off in A/ C even if just during a meal or on the tour bus.. We have switched to 1/2 day excursions..not always possible in Europe. Good reminder about staying hydrated!
