  1. maybe to promote CoCo Cay and not in prime season...??
  2. we had a good experience with that call back system. The agent who called us back was very helpful. More recently we got right through to an agent in Miami..called around 8 am est
  3. https://www.portevergladeswebcam.com/ for those early birds!
  4. got it ..Renassance Flamingo Beach island day pass.. great reviews. book ahead!
  5. There's a pvt island off one of the hotels that has a day pass..and all the flamingos you want. Name has escaped me but its where we are going next time!
  6. Woo hoo... That's a bit early but hope someone will catch it coming in!
  7. Sunset Bar area looks great..and up to date furniture... Glad u loved the massage!
  8. drink staff are busy and often overwhelmed. very slow service .not their fault...! .On BEYOND when we cruised, there were non bartenders taking and carrying food orders but not drinks..maybe the bar is self serve and carry it yourself? other than a port day..it was too crowded up there..including the tiny pool... on the port day it was amazing! .
  9. just realized these are outdoor balcs Beyond will be an IV unless a suite..
  10. go for obstructed by life boat if you can avoid the white davits..they would bother me
  11. we took the early excursion.. tendered to a level bus load area.. bus goes up the hill...( do not know if still offered) We then did the bus tour to the Village...1st bus there so easy to do it.( not much there but pretty).and then to a winery for snack..level ground. We were returnred to the port area. It was really hot..no shade..and crowded, lots of beggars. We walked directly to the Cable car area..no line. They assisted with loading. Kept my eyes closed going down.. I dislike heights. Level ground at bottom..grabbed a snack and took the first available tender back to the ship. shorter day but we saw alot and beat the lines and the heat!
  12. Much as we personally disliked Oasis, it is probably the best family choice.. something for all, lots of kids activities , carousel, ice show, adult only hot tub out back( to get a break). Book some specialty dining too!
  13. Gross..Is it real cheese or processed " cheese food".
  14. We started with Mercury.. In our opinion it was Perfect! Beautiful ship design.. Brass and glass and polished wood. ..Views to the sea. Great cuisine.. Like a large luxury yacht at reasonable prices! Everyone was treated like a " Celebrity" with " modern luxury" provided at every step as the slogan said.. Classy but not stuffy! Fewer ships and wonderful staff , officers and clientele. It was a .Country Club at Sea! yes, we stick with X..but it is not what we previously experienced. Some things are better but it is now very much ,"Royalized"
  15. going from one to the other is not always very smooth!
  16. we prefef 18 for location and convenience of parking! like the interiir layout as well..very efficient! the newer terminal 25 has a long walk to/ from its garage, and a narrow traffic flow to drop off luggage or pax..Alot of money was spent but other than suite boarding area..it's just a big barn with uncomfortable bench seating ! Kind of grin and bear it b/c your cruise lies ahead!
  17. no idea about Penguin's history but we were initially on another cruise message board for quite awhile. At some point we switched over. Can't recall why.. We enjoyed Celeb prior to the Royal takeover..downhill from there!
  18. and now not only a dive to the bottom but maybe some loyal pax will be standing futher back in the line!
  19. we run air purefiers in our bedrooms st home ( ever since the smoke from Canada fires) but even the smallest one might not be packable. Scary! What is the issue with Co Bigelow.. We use the shower stuff...no problems we know ,,,of with our drain????
  20. Riverside is a classic..great choice. Las Olas Blvd..very nice! We usually stay along 17th St..but have also been on the beach, and at a Hampton a few miles away. Last time we found the Embassy Suite to be dated and dusty...they said.was going to be renovated...sorely needed For Ascent we are trying a Wyndham in Dania Beach..something new! Just for overnight, driving to the port . Excited to hear about the maiden voyage
  21. oh boy.. 2 more E class booked and no more after that. .That said we were on Ref when it was new and cabin down the hall had a sewage back up..into the hallway. Lived with blowers all week . and we had mildew in bthrm on Infinity.. closed environments are difficult..
  22. Moving is a pain but worth it for relief. On an M Class ship..yrs ago we had a primo hump cabin on the slant.. Big time Noise & Vibration! As we unpacked the dj started on the pool deck above..unbearabke noise and the cabin shook. We immediately called down. They sent 2 people who confirmed it was really unbearable.and would be everytime there was music or dancing above. We were moved quickly forward ..we could see the bridge. Glad we did not hesitate..Quietest cabin ever! We were lucky b/ c not many options available! if anyone draws a BAD NOISE CABIN..suggest you act imnediately!
  23. great news.. we would not book on Magic Carpet side for other reasons but seems the noise issue is luck of the draw. We had no issue on EDGE for 2 cruises..IV and SV, or on BEYOND in an S1.. A bit nervous about our bookings on ASCENT and APEX.. After those we may skip XL and stick with S Class. SLEEP WELL!
  24. we have not done it but I believe it involves the ferry from Coz over rough water , and is a long trip Only you can decide if it's worth it. if no one responds here you can try port board, search feature, or google
