Safety concerns must come first. Area is unpredictable right now but cruiselines must plan far ahead. Although Turkey is in NATO, its Pres has taken sides in the mideast situation.. Our neigbbors here in US, are Turkish & have rels in Istanbul. They have recently postponed a land visit.

another money grab..to make yet another special group! who will handle them? will they get a Butler? Where will they wait for the priority boarding,? Will they board before, with or after suite guests? Where will they have their exclusive boarding lunch? mdr with Concierge guests? In Luminae with Suite guests? other? Where will they sit in the theater? with suite guests? or take more space from others? Another group with priority disembark at tender ports.....we can't All be first! how does the math work out if folks order lots of room service,,,? seems they implementing the model of Royal C. Maybe a good value on Royal huge ships but not really needed on X. Too bad no mgrs are left from CELEBRITY to turn things around. They should just serve better quality food with nicer presentations, and service and they can justify their prices and increase bookings which must be slumping.m

Agree, diff ships have diff BLU set ups. We did not like location on EDGE but it was good on BEYOND...hope it is good on ASCENT! Based on your comments happy we are not going to be in AQ Class on APEX.. we will have the 4 mdrs( sailing in an SV)

I see you are on the Millie Japan thread where BLU is shown..maybe you can inquire abt menus and good there.

BLU on Beyond was bright and light..great views (not so on Edge) . We found most of LumInae on BEYOND to be darkish. Service in BLU was exceptional..languid( ?,,,) in Luminae other than wine service.. also hood in BLU .To us, BLU is less pretentious modern clean cuisine...cooked to your tastes.More about the food than the fancy! Dinner in BLU starts with asst bread, crisp breadstick, flatbreads and butters, " spreads, veggie. Refilled. In Luminae..bread lady doled out bread & disappeared. Love the fresh crisp Salads in in BLU.. with tasty fresh dressings. Shrimp cocktail had huge firm fresh shrimp and tangy sauce. In Lum..we were served limp salads and mushy wsrm shrimp. BLU gave us abundant veggies , hot or great cold soups, perfectly cooked fish, beef and poultry..sauces and gravy on the side...less salty. But Luminae is def better at desserts. Blu Can get tedious with poultry so check the menu before you line up. It,s all good.. we are assigned in BLU on ASCENT but have 3 specialty res..just to break things up a bit. Nice to have choices.. . would love to hear what you think!

oh my.. someone could do a u tube of the chick peas, pockmarked ham other cold cuts.. hate to use a bad word but this stuff is "dr*e*ck!"

not picky..just prefer main line food.. good beef, lamb, poultry and fish.. fresh and served warm! no kale! one and done for us..but great for those who love it..we prefer BLU!

neither woman projected a polished professional image.. if the video was to be all about food and bev, why not have one of the main chefs, food managers, a chief baker, and head sommelier there to present what they plan to offer as improvements! twitting on about choc dessert.. yikes!

they sometimes call Elite and AQ first..in the big ugly waiting room..sometimes Concierge goes first if lunch offered mostly a horrible free for all..it was not much better from Suite area when we were there .. X does not excel at embark /disembark procedures!

Great tour you took us on.. we only saw Pireus by bus on way to the main tourist attractions.. Wished we had more time for the sea port and modern commercial center.. We felt a very energetic vibe..and respect for history and democracy! Sorry for long wait to re board..we did not have that experience!

that's when Celebrity was at its peak.. thank you.. going to save these and maybe my husb will be inspired.. One year, he made a Celery Soup recipe for a large Thanksgiving dinner. Recipe was given to him by a Jamaican chef at Bistro on 5 where we used to have our lunch . Soup was a really huge hit.. folks were taking 2nds and 3rds and " slurping" it up. Compare and contrast those awful looking chick peas!

Hope to never have those chickpeas on my plate! We are used to enjoying BLU but hope they circle back to more "Clean Cuisine". Low salt, low fat choices...including soups, dressings & gravies on the side and not drowning the food, food cooked to order if possible. low carb desserts (diff from no sugar added)

its pathetic and funny now, but hope you get this sorted out before too much time passes! and before final payment!
