  5. Yup...that just became one of their rules too.. I think they were in shock over the decor and never thought about pet friends! We used to do Pet friendly with our cat.. not the top shelf picks! Sadly the cat is gone now, but we are now pet and allergy free! We are trying a Wyndham hotel pre cruise in Dania Beach in Jan..the Embassy suite is too old, dusty and dated and may be under renov.. The breakfast buffet was just okay!
  6. we make it work..trade off for AQ Class if we cannot get the S: with real balcony get the bed by the bathrm.. keep bi folds open..turn chairs to face inward most of time. This give a nice open area. (these cabins are long and narrow,) we enjoy the open window for views/ phots when we go in and out of ports or want to see the sea or sky.. you have more privacy and quiet with walls on the sides.. trying it is the only way to know
  7. hopefully prices will drop, market does control..look for sales! AQ Class is hopefilly still a good alt..also pricier than in the padt. You get BLU dining...thermal suite access and still on Celeb..in our opinik nicer that Royal ships and amenities/ food
  8. Includes foraging for food, water and beer.. reduced wi fi, limited free TV.... It's a new world .. Dtr and fam just stayed at a new style "Tru" Hilton for 1 night.. ultra modern, minimal ( meaning no) style, plastic decor including chairs, no closets or dressers, hang your "gear" on wall hooks. Room smelled of "Wet Dog" ( one son allergic to dogs..thank heaven for benydryl). Was not cheap on price ..they would not go back!
  9. oops..just realized this is a SUITE thread..we are mostly AQ class cruisers but I alreay typed it..sorry! As far back as we can recall (which starts with Mercury on X and Radiance on Royal), towel animals ( along with door decorations) were always a Royal C thing. Some attendants on X did the animals but it was not part the expected "services". One day dh opened our door & found a towel monkey hanging from a clip hanger, sporting his fav & VERY expensive sunglasses! Thanks but no thanks! Not having the room made up til late in the day is not good.. but worse is if it is not turned down and refreshed early while we are at dinner....we like to sit out and stargaze! We try to work with our attendants on the schedules..They no longer have assts but often work together... only 1 bad attendant over the years.. a pretty good record!
  10. Only for guests in AQ class and thermal suite pass. Why is it a struggle? It is a very nice locker rm area. What is the stay on board til 3 pm deal? Does it include lunch,?
  11. we had one choc incident..but after they were leaving them on the dresser..easy fix! hoping for the upgraded shower gel and body cream..(I bring my own hair products.) what about the afternoon Canapes? .
  12. So in essence, the new program has a neg affect on those who have the basic internet as a perk ( Elite minutes or in an "inclusive" package?)? Internet used to be awful on M Class ships.. they would often adjust back one's minutes because of poor function. now back to square one unless we pay ? i will.let my dh know..he might want to upgrade..but the game he likes might not work anyhow. Not planning on bringing anything but the old Samsing tablet...still good for reading books
  13. thats good to know..we are using our cred card points to reduce final payment so will be low on OBC! But all spa, dining and excursions are prepaid..so you never know

  15. not paying extra so it is what it is.. we can text home from some ports if needed
  16. all our OBC goes to extra spa and the shops for most, we tip the standard amt and then for individuals we prefer to give cash in their hand ..it's then their choice if they want to pool it. in BLU we tip those we have helping us regularly, the maitrw d and assistant and sometimes group cash for the maitre d to put in pooled fund.. Sommelier gets grars regukarky so maybe a wee bit extra..

  20. also slower service.. get 2 tbls nearby ( same waiters)and rotate each night consult w maitre d once u board
  21. so no more "live from" posts from me ! when did the limitations start? I used to enjoy posting with pics but we only have the E + wifi and or whatever came with our all in booking?? truth is, there are great stock pics on line so less need to share!

  23. sounds like the X of today..is just perfect for you. Some of us would just prefer the extra little touches!
  24. well said.. some folks are quite blase..until it may be something they like is cut out... We should all stick together!
