  1. Guess you won’t be traveling together again? 😉😂
  2. There’s also loungers on 12, in front of the fitness centre.
  3. I heard that the umbrellas were destroyed in the last hurricane so they’ve replaced them with the butterflies. Maybe they’re more wind resistant? 🤷‍♀️
  4. Really wish we’d had the Elton John singer….love all those songs. Keep up the great work!
  5. The rollers are only on M class ships, the OP is sailing Solstice which doesn’t have a T-pool, just a regular pool in the solarium.
  6. Haha, it’s already April 1st down under! 🤣🤣
  7. Great pics and commentary! Bringing back some great memories. Just an FYI, if you want an outdoor view from the front you just have to go thru the fitness centre and there’s a door at the front that leads to a veranda that’s outdoors and there were quite a few lounge chairs out there as well. We’ve used that for port entry views when it was too crowded on the helipad.
  8. Hope you had a great snorkel trip…we were booked on it as well but it was cancelled the evening prior due to projected winds and rip currents 😢. As to the dining…heard the saying about the squeaky wheel and the oil? If you don’t complain/say something, and it can be done in a pleasant but insistent manner, they won’t change you to a nicer table or area…up to you or Mr tho 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, thanks for the great posting and really hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your holiday! 🥂🚢
  9. We usually ate around 7… we were seated in his section on day three or four and loved our four top in the corner against the window. We spoke to the hostess and she told us that there were another group that ate there at 5:30 so they’d save it for us after that. We’d send one of our group to the podium around 6:30 and she’d give us a pager. Worked out really well for us. Glad you had a great time…doesn’t it seem like forever ago when you come back to this crazy Spring weather? 🥶 ❄️
  10. This is so funny, we sat near the front as well, just around the wall and had a Cristobal as our server and he was fantastic. Different assistant server who was hit or miss so I’m glad, if it’s the same Cristobal that he now has a great assistant. I’ll try and attach a photo of our group on the last night with Cristobal. Same guy?
  11. We also flew down to Ft. Lauderdale from Pearson but in Feb..Super Bowl Sunday lol. Our flight was scheduled for just after 6am and we arrived at the airport just after 3:30 and breezed thru baggage drop and security. We had Nexus so that helped with Customs but our travelling companions didn’t have Nexus and they weren’t too far behind. Guess it really depends on the day and time, no rhyme or reason it seems. We stayed in Ft. Lauderdale and just took a shuttle to Miami the next morning to board the ship. I’d do that again next time, so much cheaper than staying in Miami and the flights were hundreds cheaper than Toronto to Miami as well.
  12. You have such a great attitude! But, what is this Easter competition they’re having that not all guests can participate? That doesn’t sound fair at all and I’ve never heard of an onboard contest that not all passengers could participate in 😠 Have to agree about your comment re the podium speaker, your current speaker is different than the one we had but it’s tough to compete with Milos or Brent 😅
  13. Sounds like you’re having a great start to your cruise, glad it’s all going well. I noticed that you have a new Podium speaker from our cruise in February, the topics so far def sound more interesting. Cruise director David is so great, we really enjoyed his participation in many events and his general good humour..very approachable too. If they have the archery try to sign up, was a lot of fun and I won a deck of celebrity cards 🃏. Not much I know but we love to play lol. Cheers! 🥂 🍻
  14. Totally agree about staying overnight before flying out. We had a 6am flight from Pearson to Ft. Lauderdale and a bit longer drive than you so we stayed a night preflight as well. Ended up at Embassy Suites pre as well as post cruise. Very nice hotel and the price was comparable to yours. Bit of an ordeal when you have a long drive to the airport and an early flight. We had no issues with our AC flight, other than one of my sister’s bags didn’t make the flight but that’s a whole other story. Enjoying your pictures and report, and your pups are super cute!
  15. I’ll be following as well…flurries here this morning so a reminder of our same cruise is perfect timing! Hope you enjoyed as much as we did last month! 🥂
  16. Good luck with Napier, such a shame if you have to miss but lots of road closures in the area and around the port itself so wouldn’t be surprised if you have an extra sea day there. My son is a vineyard manager on the South Island and the weather is affecting the grape harvest, definitely can’t rely on stable weather this time of the season.
  17. Following as well. We did this same itinerary (the 10 night) in Feb and had a great time. We were also on the Eclipse with you back in September! Hope you get to do the snorkel excursion to Buck Island…Celebrity cancelled us the night before, said the tour company canceled due to high winds and rip currents. We were very disappointed as we’d been looking forward to this excursion since we’d booked. Maybe have an alternate planned for that day in case the same happens to you. Otherwise, the ship was great and the crew were all so friendly and helpful. I’m sure you’ll have a great time!
  18. I love visiting NZ and Sydney is one of our favourite cities, hope you have a wonderful and smooth journey, getting late in the season down under so I hope the weather cooperates and the seas are smooth. Eclipse is a lovely ship, will you be trying the hot glass? I really enjoyed on our Alaska cruise in September. What is your itinerary? Any excursions planned?
  19. That’s what it was on Silhouette last month. We booked with only $100 pp and that was in Canadian funds…good deal, plus they had a promo of an extra $400 in obc for 10 plus nights so we’ll have $600 total.
  20. Doesn’t your cabin number show up on the display of the offending partners phone? Otherwise, good idea!
  21. On the Silhouette last month they were charging $3 over the classic package for Villa Maria, which is my go to on the ships as I don’t fancy the Chilean SB which is included in the classic. I was a little confused as the various menus and app showed either $11 or $12 for VM. Inquired at GR as to the correct price and was told $13 (so $3 over classic limit) but they couldn’t explain why not one menu on the ship listed it as that price. We had lots of obc to pay for overages but it’s the principal…why charge a higher price than what’s advertised everywhere on the ship. Could understand if the printed menus needed time to be updated to the higher fee but that doesn’t explain why the app wasn’t updated. Ultimately I was happy as they had plenty of bottles and many times I wasn’t charged extra at all. 🤷‍♀️
  22. Weird, we saw people playing bocce on the lawn on Silhouette in February…maybe they brought their own? 🤷‍♀️
  23. Seems like just yesterday I was reading about you and Jeremy on a cruise and here you are ready to head off again, this time with sweet GenZ. I’m sure you’ll both have a wonderful time making endless memories. She is certainly a very lucky girl! Thank you so much for taking precious time to keep the rest of us sailing, even if vicariously! 🚢 🥂
  24. Absolutely agree…fortunately the family have it so it worked for us. Something for future cruisers to think about if they think they may need to keep in touch with family or friends while away. Easy to download the app and use. Obviously wouldn’t be practical for work purposes. I no longer personally use Facebook but WhatsApp is handy when traveling and wanting ti actually speak to family and not just send an imessage.
