  1. So many dailyites with nasty challenges. Hugs and prayers for Terri and all her friends, @Live4cruises DH, Annie and Chuck, and Lou. Roy
  2. Water levels in the Lake Gatun watershed are extremely low and they have severely reduced traffic on the canal. If we go through the locks that leaves less water available for extremely important commercial traffic and aggravates supply chain issues including essentials like fuel supplies. More important than a scenic day. Roy
  3. What date? I'm on for November 12-24 and was thinking this might be a possibility. Roy
  4. Just wondering, how long does it take to get through customs and immigration in Montreal? Roy
  5. Looks like a wrap for this week. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  6. Little contrast but I think she's entering the harbor. Roy
  7. Did not appear to be a Tracy Arm rendezvous this time. Roy
  8. Today's sunrise is from the Panama segment of my 2018 Grand Alaska/Panama trip. August 25 was Crystal's maiden call to Bimini, back before there was a dock there: Roy
  9. Today's sunrise is from the Panama segment of my 2018 Grand Alaska/Panama trip. August 25 was Crystal's maiden call to Bimini, back before there was a dock there: Roy
  10. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Ann, and Dixie for the TGIF Fleet Report and Daily. 3 great days to celebrate, my favorite is probably the Park Service Founders day. I like the Rowling quote but have never been to Taiwan. Since Galileo we've made wonderful strides in telescopes although he started the ball rolling. I am proud to be from the home to the Hubble and Webb Space Telescopes. The meal sounds nice. The alternative will be on hiatus for most of the next month as I have never been on a BHB the last few days of August through most of September. Off to Wegmans soon and hoping there will not be too much in the way of storms until I return, Roy
  11. Today's sunrise is from my final morning on MS Statendam cruise from Seward to Vancouver. On August 24, 2014 we arrived in Vancouver: Roy
  12. For strange music how about "One Piece at a Time" made famous by Johnny Cash. Roy
  13. And that's pretty much it: Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  14. Apparently no operator. NA is dropping out of the view to start her swing. Roy
  15. Already past Thane. EARLY today. Wonder if there's a medical emergency. Roy
  16. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Dixie, and Ann for the Thursday report and welcome home Debbie, Sue, Sandi, and Dennis. An interesting group of days. I believe in the separation of church and state so I will not celebrate the day in history, and will pass on Vesuvius. Not sure about strange music but will celebrate Iconic American Restaurants. Salvadore de Bahia sounds familiar but I don't think I have been there. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Acela Express Chicken Marsala which I enjoyed August 24, 2013 on my return home from Boston and the Veendam. Weather for the day does not sound pleasant so I will try to get my errands done early to day to stay ahead of it. Roy
  17. @smitty34877 pleased that Lou is feeling better. How is his appetite? Roy
  18. One suggestion for a possible solution or at least to make the best of a bad situation. One possibility is a park and fly hotel in Fort Lauderdale and there is a van service I have used that still seems to have good reviews. Still, I would have preferred that HAL had you round trip Miami. I suspect that would have been just a minor inconvenience for those on the next cruise since it ends in San Diego. Roy
  19. Almost alongside. I think I'll start my afternoon errands. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and Carole. Roy
