  1. As the Sun Princess is the first of the Sphere class ships for Princess, here is a thread for everyone to discuss cabins/staterooms and categories as there are new ones we have not seen before. I'm sure everyone would love to hear feedback and advice from those who have sailed on her as well as videos or pictures of the various staterooms that you have sailed in. Please, NO links or videos from Travel Agents from their sites, their you tube channels or their Facebook pages.
  2. @cruisedoctor thank you for all the pictures. I will say that I'm so VERY disappointed in the Sanctuary as it's my favorite place on the ship, always. While I want sun and not shade, the chairs are just way to close together for me and it no longer looks inviting. They have as others have quite perfectly said, taken the Sanctuary out of the Sanctuary. Upsetting.... (I know, first world problems. LOL)
  3. What an incredible and detailed review. I really enjoyed reading the comparisons between the cruise lines. Happy Birthday!
  4. the old medallion app is closing out as of March 8 so I will be unpinning this thread today and will close it once the app is no longer working.
  5. We ate there twice and have it reserved twice for our April Enchanted sailing. Actually contemplating a 3rd time there. It was just amazing. Couldn't agree with you more @LACruiser88 @Astro Flyer you will certainly love your meal there.
  6. I have had it like this, and this looks delicious. The picture on Princess just looked like it was more than seared. Probably growing pains.
  7. thank you for posting this. Looks very interesting. I will say that the rump roast carpaccio doesn't look like carpaccio, it looks like thinly sliced medium rare rump roast and it's not raw.
  8. Welcome to Cruise Critic. It would be helpful to have your topic as the head of the thread rather than your CC name as you will get many more responses. If you would like it changed, please let me know. I'm sure others will chime in about your question and if you do a search, there are responses in regards to this topic. Read the thread on the Sun and you can see a video on one of the later pages.
  9. Can't be done, sorry. There is already a thread on the Sanctuary on the Sun.
  10. I just checked our sailing in April, prices are the same as they have been all week. However, the sailings on the Sun that I have been looking at, have all gone up.
  11. This is a great thread to read through and you can read about other experiences. @azbirdmom posted her bookings info for 2 different cruises, they will show what to look for.
  12. If you booked a paid for your cruise prior to December 1, 2023 then it's included for full suites. I'd after that date, it's no longer an included perk and carries the same charge as everyone else pays. it has never been part of the premier fare/package.
  13. MDR won't be open for lunch on port days. It will be open for breakfast. Shops and casino will be closed on port days.
  14. As someone who spends quite a bit of time in the Sanctuary on every cruise (since it premiered), I don't know how I feel about this one. The chairs are all crammed together and I so don't like those hard white ones by the pool. I do like having a bar in there as well a pool but, it just doesn't do much for me. I sure hope it looks better and is more comfortable in person.
  15. There is one bartender on the Sky who wasn't not great at making this cocktail. I love spicy but he was over the top with it.
  16. @drwbrtI love the Sandia En Fuego and always ask for it to be spicy. Actually had one made by Rob Floyd when he was filming on one of the ships at Good Spirits as sea! enjoy getting through the list. I'll be sure to try Cartagena Cool next time as I don't think I've had that one.
  17. Thanks for that video @Thrak. Definelty sounds like I'll have to try it. Now if only they used luxardo cherries rather than those fake dyed ones! @drwbrt what other cocktails have you enjoyed?!
  18. Now I'm going to have to try that in a few months. Is it sweet?
  19. Wishing everyone who boards tomorrow Bon Voyage! Hope you all have a fantastic cruise and can't wait to see pictures. Please do a live from people!
  20. Premier for wine, that's for sure. Much better choices of wine. You can also pay the difference between what each would pay and what the cost of the wine is. I love Caymus and use the premier so I simply spend an extra $8 when I feel like a glass of that as premier can order up to $20.
  21. Interesting that they are selling pre-loved Chanel, LV, and Gucci. And pre-loved Pandora? Not remotely in the same league as the others.
  22. Sure love seeing the extremely hard working crew have so much fun before the guests get on board!
