  1. I always plan ahead to totally understand. The cruise traffic once in the tunnel will be lighter on a Monday, it's the roads leading from your hotel to that tunnel that has the traffic that I was talking about. Hope you enjoy your night in Miami as well as have the best cruise!
  2. Do you live in the downtown Miami area so you are speaking from experience? No one is heading to the port but the roads will be packed with commuters going into downtown Miami and Brickell. Having lived on Brickell for 8 years, it's certainly something that I saw all the time.
  3. Just wait out rush hour and you will be fine arriving to the port late morning/early afternoon. I would leave the hotel no earlier than 10 am and you should be okay. Not sure if you are staying in the Blue Lagoon area by the airport, but I would give yourself 20-30 minutes at that time.
  4. Monday morning is rush hour and everyone is going into downtown Miami for work so this unfortunately isn't the case!
  5. I also have the new set up. Just noticed it a few days ago.
  6. I have actually seen people do this and there didn't seem to be an issue. It's charged to the cabin and you purchase the lounger so as long as only one is in there I can't see how they would have a problem with it.
  7. The 3 day thing is terrible because I know I wanted to mention some crew and had to remember to do this while I was so sick after disembarking. It would be nice if they would allow more time.
  8. Here is the website for the boat show so you can look for the dates when announced. It's usually mid February. https://www.miamiboatshow.com/en/home.html
  9. The Miami Boat Show is in February so maybe that's what you were thinking of.
  10. my husband and I both use the clip and I actually have a few of them. Easy to clip onto any shirt, inside a pocket or inside whatever bag/backpack we take off the ship. Also easy to remove from your shirt to swipe as you are departing/returning to the ship.
  11. It was actually merged into the thread
  12. Our December cruise on the Sky was due to sail at 3 pm. I think it was around 4 before we actually left.
  13. If you see her again, please tell her Carolyn says hi.
  14. I'm not sure why this glitch happens sometimes. It's done it to me as well. Sorry about that.
  15. Maybe the stuff needs to go to the lost and found!!
  16. Great review, thanks for taking the time to write one up. Great pictures! We enjoyed our time on the Sky in December and I would step back on tomorrow if I could.
  17. Have you run across Jovie at all on this sailing? I know she joined the ship back in November.
  18. @Cruise Raider glad to see you are having another wonderful cruise!! I'll have to live vicariously through you until I get to sail again. Enjoy!
  19. Judging by how full the sailings are and how many first time cruisers are on the sailings, I think they aren't having any issues attracting new blood cruisers even with The Love Boat focus.
  20. Thanks for taking the time to give us your thoughts on your sailing. I really enjoyed the well balanced review.
  21. As the OP hasn't been back and the thread has now gone into laundry discussions and elite benefits and way off track from their topic, I'm going to go ahead and lock the thread. @drhugs I hope you come back, start and new thread and let us know how the rest of your cruise went. Happy sailing everyone!!
  22. Sounds like another fantastic cruise! Really enjoying reading all about it. Hope the rest of your sailing is just as much fun.
  23. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that your son and husband both got sick with covid. What a way to end your cruise. Hope they recovered quickly and that you didn't end up sick. Sounds like you had a wonderful cruise before the illness came into play. Happy New Year!
