  1. I have received a message from a TA indicating that Regent is offering cruises with zero solo supplement in some voyages. The dates do not work out for me. Maybe some of you can benefit from that offer. Ivi
  2. I have been told that following pharmacies do the tests: Drogaraia, Drogasil and Drogeria Sao Paolo. Ivi
  3. Well I have posted about it on the thread of questions to Mr Vago. Ivi
  4. In my information it says that no self tests are accepted. A labor has to issue the document. Ivi
  5. I have also received the information from my travel agent with a link to the MSC webpage in which it says the COVID test (PCR or Antigen) has to be within 48 hours of embarkation for the Grand Voyages. Ivi
  6. Mr Vago could you please delegate someone to solve the issue of non yacht passengers getting irregular access to the Yacht Club facilities? What is the point of paying three times more for the Yacht Club if we are going to experience lines, lots of people, lack of chairs, rude behavior from other passengers, etc? Is this what you wanted to achieve by creating the Yacht Club? It is demotivating for passengers who wish to have a more exclusive experience on your ships. Ivi
  7. I am very surprised about the free riders, rude people, etc, etc gaining irregular/non paid access to the Yacht Club. This is certainly not something we are expecting by paying those premium prices. I hope someone from MSC reads this thread and take corrective action. Ivi
  8. I think the balance is to attract both type of customers. Specially to get younger clients (40-60) without forgetting the seniors. We have been everywhere but itineraries are still important, and we also pay attention at which prices we are traveling. Ivi
  9. I agree. However if a cruise line can live depending only on them? Ivi
  10. Lucky you. Our TAs were not really committed. They are not our TAs anymore 😊 Ivi
  11. I will be leaving from Santos at the beginning of April. Where did you see that your test has to be within 24 hours? In our web page it says within 48 hours. Ivi
  12. Santos to Lisabon on Fantasia. We will try to get it done at home but it is more probably that it would have to be in Santos. Ivi
  13. Let’s hope… our Grand Voyage is at the beginning of April and it is becoming more and more difficult to find a place for the test. Ivi
  14. If it is what you are describing, it seems interesting. But in the shore excursion’s description, this is not mentioned. Ivi
  15. In our cruise it seems to be a walk in Porto Venere. Something we could have done on our own. I hope it is worth it. Ivi
  16. Has any body experience with Azamara excursions to Portofino, to Montpellier or to Cassis? Can you recommend them? They are 3 separate excursions I am considering to use my OBC. Ivi
  17. What a coincidence our first cruise with the original Crystal was not that good but the subsequent ones were very nice. The same as you, we are willing to try the New Crystal and form our own opinion. We are aware it is not the original Crystal. By the way, I know this is Cruise Critic, which allows us to express our opinions about cruises and cruise lines. Some posters seem to believe they have the right to assess even the character of other posters and want to stop the comments of those posters which have a divergent opinion. Ivi
  18. This is true but unfortunately some people react with negation to this fact, don’t acknowledge it and even allow themselves to give an estimate of how your character might be ( see the comment on half empty glass). Is this the Crystal family? Ivi
  19. Great! You are welcome. I am glad it worked out. Ivi
  20. I do not think Azamara waited on purpose for that reason. Unfortunately there are inefficiencies going on. I thought you were talking about the specific system of biding on upgrades. Have a good cruise. Azamara offers a very good experience. Your cabin will not be great but still I wish you a nice experience without stress once you accept that you can not change your cabin or if you wish to do that, you will have to pay current market prices. Ivi
  21. I prefer for the Transatlantic crossing a larger and newer ship. I have done many crossings on MSC, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean ships. I avoid doing that type of crossings with Azamara. My main reason to not take Azamara for that, is exactly to avoid rough sea days on a smaller ship with limited inside entertainment. I have experienced rough days on Transatlantic crossings specially in the proximity of the Azores and approaching Lisbon. Having said that, on my last cruise with the Pursuit, we had some rough seas which were unavoidable. This was, leaving the Beagle Channel, on the Drake Passage and on the Magellan Strait. No way the captain could avoid this because there was no other option than to go ahead. I had a midship cabin and I have felt it but it did not bother me or made me sick. The location of my cabin helped. Apparently other people felt sick. If you are considering the crossing with Azamara, I would recommend you take a midship cabin. In that area the Captain will deviate to avoid bad weather if he can. Ivi
