  1. I'd be willing to guess that at the same time the ship is heading back, a Coast Guard boat is also heading out so as to meet in the middle to transfer the patient.
  2. Where is Key West on your itinerary? Is it the first stop, or on the way back? If on the way back, you'll need to go through immigration. Also, do you know where your docking? One of the docks used is on a base and requires transportation in/out. The other thing is Key West is clamping down on cruise ships. Some itineraries are being changed due to that.
  3. Unless your mum is going to be constantly recording, she won't have a chance to film you. It's all done live.
  4. I'm not sure you are allowed to bring a stand alone humidifier on the ship.
  5. Presuming you talked to guest services after this transpired, what did they say? I'm surprised they allowed the scooter to tender.
  6. I think you will be limited to NCL in September. In all honesty, I would wait and go next year.
  7. NCL has been doing the Friday-Friday Bermuda run from Boston for many years. I don't see that changing.
  8. While I have no personal experience with this group, it is my understanding that they actually do dress quite well for dinner.
  9. My humble opinion: For a transpacific cruise, I would not put any guarantees on there being a usable internet signal for the entire voyage. I would expect there will be times when there is no coverage.
  10. That search functionality never worked anyways.
  11. I would guess it will be a ship doing a Friday - Friday Bermuda run.
  12. My guess is the TA doesn't want to deal with it.
  13. To the best of my knowledge, only HAL regularly schedules priests on their ships to perform mass. Now, it's possible there will be a priest who is a passenger that might offer it, but that's not a guarantee.
  14. #2 is definitely allowed. As long as it is all factory sealed. I don't know if you can bring fresh ginger on. Most people bring candied ginger or tablets. I'd be thinking the third option would be a no if they contain heating elements.
  15. The NCL transfers will all leave in the morning, after debarkation. If you want flexibility, you would need to book your own transfers.
  16. As long as all of the ingredients are bought from Texas, yes. There might be a limited selection on the first night.
  17. Yes, but the cruise line will pass the fine on to the passenger. Again, in the case of a medical debarkation, it's very possible that immigration will waive the fine.
  18. In most cases, the fine is waived if you are debarking for a medical emergency.
  19. While I haven't been to Chelsea since before 2020, I have a customer that is in that area. You couldn't pay me to stay there. I stay home on Marathon Monday. I live close to the start line so I can be impacted by bus traffic. I hadn't heard of Head of the Charles until I was getting married and someone pointed out that it was that weekend. For a wedding being held in Newton, the closest place I could get a block was in Burlington. My Save the Dates included the phrasing of "book now" if not staying in the block.
  20. The cruise line will do their best to accommodate medically necessary diets. Contact Special Needs to discuss your needs, and make sure to talk to the right people as soon as you get on board.
  21. You might want to ask the all inclusive what their policies are.
  22. I've flown Southwest to IAH before. The gate area there is a mess. No lining up because there's no room, they just call people 5 at a time, check the number and let you go down to the line gate where you officially get checked on to the plane. In fact, I was surprised Southwest flew to IAH in the first place, I thought they only flew to Hobby. Of course, I was also surprised to find JetBlue moved from Hobby to IAH.
