  1. Wish I’d known this when my son was driving back and forth to Corsicana for school the last 2 years!
  2. I found your comment about the service at the Dr. Seuss breakfast interesting. I went for the first time a couple of weeks ago on the Spirit. I definitely enjoyed it and would go again but had poor service also. Three of the five at our table had food allergy issues and their orders were taken quickly. But the other two were completely forgotten. Once other tables around us who arrived later started getting their food we asked about it (although it was a little difficult to get anyone’s attention). We had to ask about a forgotten entree and ended up feeling very rushed once we finally had good because they needed to get ready for the second seating. The service in the MDR the rest of the week was amazing. I remember in 2018 for a very short time they did offer an all inclusive digital photo package. We bought it for our sons graduation cruise. That could definitely explain the longer lines every evening. I’m sure a lot of people like us who never take pictures were that year.
  3. I know those speed traps all too well!! Grew up in Waco and went to Baylor. Had family in Bryan and, of course, college road trips to A&M. Still on high alert in several spots all these years later.
  4. I live in Ovilla (near Waxahachie) and we always go to Galveston by going I-35, to Hwy 6 to 290. We always stop at the Buccees in Waller. Much less crowded than the ones on the south side of Houston. This route also lets us stop for kolaches in West. Win all around!
  5. I’m on the same cruise in January. Just checked the Carnival website and the Sea Trek does show available. The De Palm Island and Snorkle is sold out.
  6. I didn’t see it this morning. But it was on there about 20 minutes ago.
  7. No Carnival gift cards but at least the gift card category is back on the Allstate website. Hopefully soon???
  8. I was on a different Alaskan cruise (not Princess) the same week. Several people in our social media group including my husband have reported tending positive since returning. Last November I came home from a TA cruise and tested positive. I truly believe this has little to nothing to do with the ship. I have no data but I suspect the rate is higher on longer cruises or itineraries where passengers are indoors more than outside.
  9. I didn’t take it as secretive. I just don’t think they have it yet. I would assume once they’ve completed their test on Dream they will make any changes based on feedback from guests and chefs. Then determine a rollout schedule.
  10. Apparently I was wrong. Everything I’ve found says when iPriority boarding was reinstated last November it was a Priority line for check in but times were still going to be enforced. My last cruise was in October so hadn’t really paid attention. I do think I’ve read about some ports not following this policy but I won’t count on it anywhere.
  11. I know it was like this after restart so they started the 2 day early checkin. But a few months ago (don’t remember when) they announced that Priority boarding was back like before shutdown. Still had 2 days early to check in and had to choose a time but could come whenever you wanted to.
  12. I just saw today that the Carnival website now stated that even Priority guests must arrive during their selected Arrival time. I’m not sure how long it has stated this but I know it has been the practice that Diamonds, Platinums, etc four arrive anytime. The person who shared the info said some ports are enforcing the policy while others are not yet. Does anyone know if Seattle is enforcing this policy? We have Platinum travel companions who have a 12:30 Arrival time but had thought they could go with us at 10:30? @Ferry Watcher?
  13. @lesters I apologize for hijacking your awesome Live. I look forward to following the rest of your trip. Enjoy!
  14. Thanks for the info! I knew you would know the answer😉. We will be sailing on the Spirit on 6/27. It’s been several years since we sailed from Seattle and we didn’t have any problems then. I have no idea the details of the stories I read but I am confident we won’t have any trouble.
  15. There have been a few reports of people not having porters to take their bags at the Seattle port. Did you have any trouble or did you carry yours on?
  16. There was at least one couple on our Pride TA last fall that had been onboard since the eastbound TA in April😮. That’s what I call a major closed loop cruise!
  17. I only heard about it but never saw it. I think you are correct about it being only on Journeys cruises now. Probably on Throwback day along with frog races and horse race.
  18. My brother in law actually won the knobby knees contest on a cruise in the 80s😂
  19. I was on the Pride TA last fall that left just before the Celebration and the weather was bad and seas were rough. We expected it that time of year so weren’t surprised and still had a great cruise.
  20. We love Jamaica and would not hesitate to get off the ship but I go agree that is one place we ALWAYS have an excursion. Although we don’t use Carnival excursions there.
  21. I know that CCL has been members only since they switched from the old points based system. I do not know about the others.
  22. I thought the same thing. I’ve followed both reviewers for a long time and I don’t think Intrepid would have taken StGs comment seriously (as another poster obviously did). I just hope he’s having fun in the casino and hasn’t been on his phone.
  23. What I saw on John Heald’s tour video yesterday that casino annex is an additional non-smoking section.
  24. On the Ruby in April it was in the MDR only on one sea day but we didn’t see it until later that afternoon so we missed it. I’m not sure but I think it was the first sea day.
