🤦♀️. I was so focused on him adding the Alaska cruise on NCL that I completely missed the clues. Just assumed the Parking Spot rates were for that one. Obviously didn’t pay attention to the dates or length. -

We have friends who left today and I’m about 99% certain they will be on your cruise. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them in your pictures. I’m so jealous of this trip😂. Enjoy every minute of it! -
Do suites get priority also or just Elite and ship excursions?

“Officially” Carnival says no. Same rules as US ports. BUT on our TA on the Pride last fall we took a bottle of liqueur in our carryon when we boarded in Lisbon and people we travelled with took 2 bottles of Baileys in their checked luggage. We were all prepared to have it confiscated. No one even looked at it. Then after we went through security in the terminal there was an entire liquor store😮. Saw lots of people carrying bottles on straight to their cabins. Can’t say what will happen at any given port this year, but I think chances are much better you can carry anything on at any port (embarkation or not) than that it will be taken away.

In April on the Ruby it was available for the early evening showing but I never saw it for the later movie.

Special events requiring special outfits?
lennythenose replied to TravelFiend's topic in Princess Cruises
We had a white and gold night/Love Boat party on the Ruby in April. The party was well attended but very few dressed in white and gold. But it was also the last night of the cruise so most people had already packed. I thought that was kinda weird. I did hear a few people talking about deciding what they were wearing earlier in the day so it really is just up to you. -
Yes I know it is too early and the itineraries have not been announced yet. But I am new to Princess (one cruise) and want to research ships that are “likely” to be in Europe in 2025 just to familiarize myself with the different classes and amenities. So what are your best guesses?

Thanks for the update. I just bought my first Lands End items last month and I’m hooked!! I never look for anything but Carnival cards but this is good news!

Personally I like having a choice. I gave no problem with people choosing YTD, but I avoid cruise lines that have no set time dining options.

Anyone ever had Carnival lose your luggage?
lennythenose replied to love4monsters's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
The happened to 2 people on my last cruise from Galveston. Not a Carnival cruise. The 2 parties were not together and the port staff (who work for the port and not the cruise lines) were VERY unhelpful and rude. One of the people finally had the employees contact port security even though they didn’t want to. One of the bags had an Air Tag in it and they could see it moving. They security was able to see where the bag ended up (locally) and matched it with unclaimed luggage in the terminal. An elderly couple picked up the wrong luggage and didn’t verify the tags. Ended up bringing the bags back to the port. Hopefully it is something equally innocent with your bag and when the person realizes they will contact the port. There should be a lost and found I would think. I would also contact Carnival do they will know about the port employees lack of help even if they don’t work for them. -
Loved reading your thoughts. We were on the cruise the week before you. We met several people who fit into your group of “didn’t care about the 80s” who were staying onboard for your cruise and the Panama Canal cruise after yours. I wonder if there would be fewer non-80s fans on a cruise that wasn’t the week before something special like the PC transit?

I do understand that all too well😉. I just wanted to answer if it was a genuine question.

Why do I want to find a Stanley to buy or were you asking someone else?
-
I saw it before my cruise but I do not see anywhere I can buy one without having a cruise booked.
-
I wish I had pre-ordered. Just never occurred to me they’d sell out. They really didn’t have much branded merchandise. A few things but much less than I’m used to in other lines. We thought it might be because they are repositioning to start Alaska season next week so probably getting different items for that. I did see many on eBay, mercari, poshnark, etc but was hoping to be able to buy new. May just have to wait for another Princess cruise. I’m sure we will book again.

I just returned from my first Princess cruise on the Ruby (which I really enjoyed). I had planned to buy a Stanley onboard but when I went to the shop on day 2 or 3 they were already sold out. Since returning home I have looked online but cannot find where to purchase one other than eBay or other resale sites. Am I just missing something or can I really only buy him onboard?
