  1. Princess always lists the contents of a PLUS Cruise Fare Package and quotes the list price of each item. If you booked the Cruise Fare package, the cost is $60/pp/day. Nothing different than they have always done. The beverage package price is over-inflated to make it seem like a great deal in the package. PS - IMO, the beverage package naming now aligns with the Cruise Fare Package in which it is included.
  2. That is not an official source and is simply a reproduction of the draft PDF menus that TA could get hold of back in July. There is zero proof that pizza's are $12 on ships other than the exception case I mentioned for Gigi's. IDK why you would think that 3rd party website is a correct or best source.
  3. Cruise Vacation Planner (fancy name for an inside TA at Princess)
  4. Fine. But I read reports of actual menus and there was a photo in one case. This is from the restaurant and not the OceanNow screen shot.
  5. That could be the situation for Inside cabins. Other cabins will have extra single bed(s) in the ceiling and out of the way if not in use. I don't think there are any diagrams on Princess.com that are going to show you the exact placement for the new Sun Class. In some of the cabins, there will be a sofa bed so that will count as at least one extra sleeping location. I would try a CVP rep as they ought to know more.
  6. If you go by Alfredo's, would you mind posting back here the cost of a pizza? Is it $8.50 or $12? Thanks (there seems to be some debate on this).
  7. I have seen a menu on Ocean Now indicating $8.50/pizza, true enough. But I have also seen photo of actual Alfredo menu from Sapphire and it indicates $8.50/pizza. There was also a report from Discovery that indicated $8.50/pizza, plus 2 or 3 more upscale special pizzas for $12. I'd like to say at least the jury is still out and would love to see another live report from another ship as many more have now hit the date of implementation. You have still not indicated that your menu shots are taken live from a ship restaurant. They look much like the preview menus I saved off into PDF's that were posted elsewhere in this forum last month.
  8. Okay, I see your point. In most cases, folks like to use them as an initial deposit because $100 is normally lower than the required minimum cash deposit.
  9. Have you been away a while? There has not been much recent changes. On Princess.com, you can read about the benefits for each CC Member level. Download the PDF on this page: https://book.princess.com/captaincircle/membershipBenefits.page
  10. Once, when wife and I were still in the early dating phase, I realized I had no credit card, etc, at end of the meal when dining out, so I had to drive home and back while she sat there wondering if they were going to make her wash dishes (LOL - not really). Nowadays, she will likely have a card on her to save me. LOL. I would have returned to the cabin and fetched some cash (much less time than a drive back and forth to my home).
  11. They are also a Deluxe Balcony category on the new Sun Class and not a Regular Balcony. So, they will be a little larger and will also have a small sofa.
  12. Technically not. All of the Balconies on Sun Class are categorized as Deluxe Balcony. They added DG & DH categories for the Cove set from what I can tell. Regular Balcony cabins are categories BF, BE and on up the line.
  13. What do you mean exactly? Turning a FCD into OBC seems unusual, but confers no benefit. Never heard of an existing booking that will already have a deposit paid by definition, getting a FCD applied and the guest also earning the associated OBC bonus. FCD acquisition date is supposed to be no later than the date a booking is made. If this is what you meant above, then was this in the UK? Perhaps they got an exception case? Anyway, best we can do is make sure posters here understand the way it is supposed to work according to policy and if something else happens one-off, they shouldn't count on being as lucky.
  14. Stewart didn't tell me there was someone still in the bathroom. I just ran!!
  15. True - on a Grand Class. The Alfredo's/Gigi's on Royal Class still have the larger menu.
  16. What you have posted looks like the initial release of a draft menu (was posted in another thread in this Forum). It also looks like an Alfredo menu from a Grand Class ship as those venues only have the one App and one Dessert. There are more choices on a Royal Class ship. Not trying to be difficult, but is your post a photo of an actual menu from an actual ship?
  17. Have you seen this for certain? CC Members have posted from a Grand Class and a Royal Class and in both cases the menu was $8.50 for pizza. The Royal Class has the "full" Alfredo's experience and menu, so IDK why some ship would be different. TBH, I do not recall which RC ship was reported about.
  18. There are extensive threads about the new Casual Dining fees. One thread has sample menus posted, but at least two of them have turned out different on the ships. PCL already had a number of "for-fee" casual dining locations. Alfredo's/Gigi's most likely ought to have been in this category for some time already. This is the only change as all other existing free casual dining locations remain as such. There are two options dining at Alfredo's/Gigi's. Guest can order prix fixe for $15 and get an App, a Main, and a Dessert. Or, guest can order a la carte with a personal pizza costing $8.50. If you cruise with Plus Fare Package, you get two free prix fixe meals at any of the "for-fee" CD locations. Note that all of the other locations now also have a prix fixe option for $15 in addition to the a la carte options. If you cruise with Premier Fare package, you get unlimited CD visits.
  19. We could think that, but there may be another solo guest who also has Reserve and they might encourage them to sit together. Of course, the guests wouldn't have to agree, but it seems a slippery slope perhaps. Imagine it is up to the DRO, but I wouldn't count on it.
  20. I can one-up that one. I had an actual peek inside a Suite on a turnover day 3-4 years ago.
  21. OP is from UK and they have unique rules and more restrictions than we do in N.A.
