  1. So, the several answers posted in this forum that there is no RS charge for Elite & Suite benefits doesn't do the trick for you?
  2. They will likely ask you by the last day. If you are in and out, then ask the lead when you first go there what day they are taking requests for the next leg.
  3. My first thought was good idea there. Then I designed them to be waterproof. If there was a plastic strip to pull in order to allow the battery contacts to work, then there would be an entrance place for water.
  4. You can try a 3rd party (i.e. agency) booking website that will show you all eligible fares based on your name, birthdate, CC Member Number. Princess.com only shows you one price category and it should be the best one for you, but not always the case. We cannot name or promote travel agencies on here, but I am sure you can think of some providers that sell cruises and could have online booking. Examples are the company with a lot of little boxes, a national airline, some US online travel agencies.
  5. I wish Princess would collect them in drop bins as guests depart the ship. They could recycle them en masse and gain a few environmental brownie points.
  6. Or, has anyone ever headed to the cabin they were in on the last cruise a few months ago?
  7. Good final point, but last time for us a lot of folks had dining credits even if Premier didn't. It is unfortunate there is now higher demand to impact on Standard and Plus guests.
  8. They have always held back inventory and I expect they are still doing so. Go to the venue and book after embarking and make your arrangements. I have always had success with early contact on board.
  9. If you are talking about the PES "Lounge", then you can order any drink they can make and not just the featured "special".
  10. Those are selections from the full Princess wine menu.
  11. We did on Island last November. IDK what a guest can do if they overbook on the schedule and run the help ragged. On hour per cabin is not enough. I could see the same crew handling two cabins a few doors apart almost simultaneously, but otherwise the experience could be compromised. I would have spoken to F&B manager if I came to understand this is what they did. Anyway, hope you try it again as I think it is well worth the up-charge over two covers at the Crown Grill.
  12. We did 25 nights on Regal last Fall and both of our Medallions were good to the end (port pickup in Europe).
  13. Yup, but not ideal IMO for viewing a document like a port guide. If they cared to, there is software to make documents more presentable and workable on smartphones. IDK what it is, etc, but I know it exists because I have seen it work comparing a website on laptop versus smartphone. PCL is just not bothering to optimize these for smartphones.
  14. What do you consider "premium wine"? They never sold the more upscale priced wines (PCL menu pricing) by the glass. "Premium" could be subjective to people. I would say they have some additional WBTG now so that there are some that fit into the Premier package pricing allowance. But these are mostly mid-range type wines IMO and maybe one or two at most might be termed "premium". Let's realize that the wine is marked-up a mile on board and a $60 or $70 bottle is hardly "premium".
  15. True, but only a limited number of the mid-price wines (PCL mid-pricing of course) are offered BTG. No restaurant will ever have most of their wines BTG. After posting, I saw #175 and she is bang on.
  16. For some reason, you have responded to a thread last used over a year ago. The Medallion Net pricing is not the same as it was then. 1 device is $15/day and 4 devices is $40/day. There have been more changes, such as the price is the same pre-cruise and on-board which was not the case prior to the increases. The only price not changed thus far is the single day rate of $20/day (not sure why it was left alone).
  17. LOL - none of that varietal. The closest was a Chilean for $46.
  18. I am not sure of any recent price adjustments (say by earlier this year), but last year they had 11 bottles under $45. They had 14 bottles from $45 to under $50. They had 59 bottles from $50 to under $70. They had 29 bottles from $70 to $100. They had 14 in the $100's. Then they had another 11 from above $200 to the ridiculous. Obviously wines under $45 are not marked up by quite $40. You could expect typically a $30 - $40 markup in the lower price ranges.
  19. It could be avoided somewhat if one came to learn which boats they typically deploy and avoid those cabins. Of course, they probably rotate which ones they use so luck of draw.
  20. Yes, pretty much nothing at all that costs. And even then, the savings are quite trivial so as to not give Princess the "pleasure" to have sold one.
  21. The Ocean IT resources are not working for the competition. They are the ones who couldn't get hired by the competition.
  22. I understand your want. But this is one area I am willing to give up just some control in order to gain huge amounts from TA discounting. For me, I cannot pay full list price when I know I can save hundreds going with a discounting agency. To echo your statement, I don't need anything from the TA either - other than responsive, accurate service with the booking in addition to the fare discount.
  23. Read again. You have it backwards.
  24. No brainer. Book separately.
  25. That is NP because it is a la carte. The only issue is if a guest orders a prix fixe option, that service cannot be shared. Now, there is an "or else" to that as a waiter is not going to swoop in and take food from hand, but what will that be? Assess another prix fixe charge? This entire issue could go away for both Princess and guests if they simply changed the benefit policy to TWO VISITS TO CASUAL DINING WITH A MAXIMUM SPEND OF $15 PER VISIT. Anything spent under the $15 is "lost" as a visit meal was completed. Any bill over $15 means guest is charged the difference plus 18% gratuity. Very simple. Works like the drinks plan, so consistent policy-wise. No weird rules to decipher and nothing to enforce and create awkward situations.
