  1. Where are you seeing these instructions? Do you have the latest App version? The BP page and QR code only shows up about 11 days prior to the sail date. It isn't particularly important. No more medical form AFAIK.
  2. Often, PCL Shore Excursions go up in price from first posting to sail date. So, they can certainly be more expensive on the ship, but should be same as last posted price online.
  3. Oh, right. Take Five and Crooner's are likely locations. Of course, one can order a martini everywhere, but there are menus that feature a larger number of varieties. Don't drink them ourselves.
  4. I either forgot that from last week or missed it. I understand the concern. OTOH, how much value can one attach to this item (you can't really attach list price to everything or not enough funds in the package - that's why it is a package)? The perk has been added with no price increase, so is the value $0? I wonder if PCL is planning to augment Casual Dining locales and will then use that as part of the reason to bump up the package pricing.
  5. Check out Princess ship deck plans on their website. Bellini's is the martini specialty/themed bar on PCL ships.
  6. Wouldn't you want to experience that venue at least once (to cover the entire ship)?
  7. That's fine, but what are they going to do for Casual Dining?
  8. Are you on Plus Premier Cruise Fare package? If so, have you asked how guests are supposed to take advantage of their free casual dining? If nothing offered of substance, is there an OBC credit?
  9. Pizzas are $8.50 with exception of 2/3 "gourmet" style ones offered at Gigi's.
  10. Nothing to fear. I wouldn't call turning over a bottle of liquor after re-boarding the ship confiscation because the guest gets it back. There is normally a liquor table just after going through security scan when re-boarding the ship. Often the security officer will alert the crew member manning the desk. To comply, you turn over the liquor bottle and they store it for you (free). It is returned to your stateroom on the last night. If no one is there, or no one notices, just take it to your cabin and keep it there. Don't bring your own liquor out somewhere on the ship. If you bring back wine, you can take that to your room. If the desk clerk is involved, likely nothing happens, but I suppose you could be assessed a corkage fee. But that desk clerk will not know if you used your free bottle or not at original embarkation. That said, if you take that bottle to dinner, your waiter may charge you a corkage fee if the bottle has not already been opened. Normally, the liquor desk, if manned, for returning guests from port excursions doesn't care about wine. We have brought back wine from a port stop, but never liquor.
  11. I have been reading the same. In fact, I have the impression that when they introduced the fee for using ON, they also removed a lot of items. WTH?! With a limited menu and also not having all bar drinks, I don't see using it versus fetch my own. IMO, PCL should have put everything in ON App and then the fee makes some sense.
  12. I'm there before doors open. 10:30am is way too late for me. But not for many, so NBD.
  13. I wouldn't stand for that. I'd ask the waiter first and if (s)he couldn't do anything, I'd be asking the section Head Waiter for a different approach or a different table. I have not seen this happen to us ever. Okay, the odd night it seemed as thought we and another table were running in sync, but we didn't have any delays, per se. But our waiters knew we didn't want to dawdle over dinner.
  14. My guess is not much change in patterns at all since guests would come to terminal as it suited them. Those that want to be there early will still come early. Elites and Suites board together. Then Platinum. If someone at the port let the Platinums on and held back the Suites, then they screwed up.
  15. You should check in via the new Gray Lane which is for guests with special needs. You have not indicated when you plan to arrive at the terminal for check-in and boarding. If you arrive after boarding has begun, priority boarding means nothing as guest simply proceed onto the ship as soon as completed the check-in process. If you are an early-bird and need to wait in the terminal for boarding to begin, I am sure you will be accommodated in some way. But, you might prefer to arrive by noon or just before and then the terminal will be emptied out in all likelihood and you can be processed and onto the ship right away. Look for the Gray Lane or ask for it.
  16. That makes sense since Sapphire would never have had the original WMD and the new Caymus WMD had not begun at that time.
  17. @firsttimecruiser88, most of us regulars on here are well aware of the new Caymus WM Dinner event and we have wondered at the exorbitant price of $140 (which is more than Chef Table Lumiere). Since it was announced, you are the first poster I have seen mention actually attending one and it has not been clear if they had even begun them as yet. What ship were you on and what venue was it in? The original WMD event was only on Royal Class ships and held in the Deck 5 mid-ship DR where there is a center section surrounded by wine bottles. The used to be $40 and they raised it to $45 when Specialty Dining prices went up. Obviously, the staff you spoke to on the phone were thinking of the original WMD and not this over-hyped Caymus thing. Your situation is another example of why the cabin account should be checked every day and also before leaving the ship, so no surprises. Your only recourse now is to write CustomerRelations@PrincessCruises.com and tell your story, including you would never have booked the event at $140/pp and ask for $95/pp refunded back to you for the excess over the quote you were given. @Micahs Grandad, you have probably realized if kept reading this thread that the old WMD at old price of $40/pp and now $45/pp is something different than the new Caymus event for $140/pp. Now, other than the wine selections, I really don't see the difference between original WMD and Caymus WMD. Perhaps @firsttimecruiser88 will tell us more about this meal. For @Astro Flyer and others, do we even know if the original WMD is still held? Is the same ship holding both original WMD and new WMD? I understand Caymus WMD can be held on pre-Royal Class ships - probably in a SD location, but are they intending to keep both going on Royal Class ships? I just cannot see guests paying extra $95/pp for a glass or two of the Caymus Cab (which is the star wine of the meal).
  18. Sounds like a bar to me. It's a new name for the bar in that place (changed on many/most/all ships - I didn't check them all).
  19. You are not going to get a Princess shuttle to the pier for early check-in and be seated in the terminal waiting for boarding to begin. I'd cancel it and get a taxi or Uber if I wanted to be sure to be at the terminal early. If it's all bundled, then you can just skip the shuttle and do your own thing for the extra cost.
  20. It's on the deck plan for Emerald. Yes, that is the deck. Not sure if you have used these before, but all deck layouts for all ships are on Princess.com.
  21. You are right of course, but I was not responding about the guest with disability.
  22. Yes - you would expect those folks (supposedly well over half the guest population) to be exercising their right to some "free" food. ETA: Maybe they are too busy downing juice bar concoctions, over-loaded gelato sundaes, and taking fitness classes to make it in for a pizza.
  23. I think it has been well-established that a la carte or any "normal" food ordering on the ship is no problem for sharing. The application of policy for a prix fixe $15 - now called a cover charge - is uncertain you might say. IDK what they can really do if partner doesn't order food and just has a drink, say. What if the person ordering asks for box take half their pizza away and just eats the other half plus and appetizer? At O'Malley's, I notice it states Pub Fries are free. So, Guest 1 orders the prix fixe option for $15. Guest 2 orders the fries and a beer. What do they do if Guest 2 eats the dessert? Charge $5? Come and take it away? Tell Guest 2 only Guest 1 can have the dessert? It would seem wasteful to order a second dessert and throw the included one away. I suppose the scenarios are nearly infinite. I am not trying to game the system here - just wondering how the restaurant staff are going to handle the awkward situations. PS - I do NOT expect @dickinson to engage with a restaurant manager on their vacation and have a lengthy discussion about sharing food and what guests will be charged. I imagine over the course of time, various CC Members will be on ships and attend the for-fee casual dining spots and post on this Forum what their situation was and what happened. I think only then will we begin to have a picture of what is going to happen. And, I also suspect it will change with time as staff adjusts. ETA: Perhaps PCL will use the KISS method. If one guest at a table elects prix fixe via the cover charge, then everyone else must do the same. Otherwise, it's a la carte for all. I know that isn't practical if a couple on Plus is dining with a couple on Standard and the couple on Standard just wants to share a pizza. So, modified KISS: Everyone at a table from the same cabin must either elect Prix Fixe option or A La Carte option. No one can occupy a seat without ordering something.
