  1. I am not sure I have seen a line that long at Alfredo's, but we would never wait. Would adjust arrival time or do the buffet or MDR. Never going to wait an hour to eat on a ship - that's not fun at all.
  2. As you have read, there are no more set groups and times, but for historical recording, those times generally meant nothing and Suites, Elites, Platinum, Reserve Class could certainly have considered them waived.
  3. About a year from now there will still be a question.
  4. But that is partially fake news. Pay attention to the LATEST time to board, but ignore the START time if you intend to be on the ship ASAP.
  5. No, I don't think they will compensate either. It was just being posed as I would expect someone to ask ir complain since it is the nature of some to do so. As for Australia, the package pricing reflects the absence of CA.
  6. Yes, this has happened to a lot of people and you might have read about their stories on other threads here. When you were booking the dining, did you look at the billing page at all? Did you see the total to be charged (say, $78 for two)? Did you see any credit applied, bringing the net owing to $0? Or, did you see the amount owing was the same $78? If you saw that, why did you go ahead if not wanting to pay? Try booking another SD reservation and examine the billing page and see if any credits are applied. You can back out and not confirm the second res if not wanting it. If you don't want to pay, just cancel the res you made and your CC will be refunded. There are a lot of issues with the App and DMW. You can either wait until on board, or you can try the booking using the Web version of the App. DMW is part of the Web version and several have reported better success there.
  7. Easiest thing is just to start it on the cabin TV when both there unpacking .. especially if seen it a dozen times already.
  8. You should have a little extra room around the table and on the surface with a 6-top. Don't let them squeeze you into a 4-top with an end seat.
  9. As you may have read above in this thread, it is a new policy/procedure change implemented by Princess around first of August (timing varied by ports). For some unknown reason, they have designated the Green Lane only for those guests with Medallions in hand and everyone else has to use Blue Lane - no matter how Ocean Ready one is. There is also supposed to be a Gray Lane for special needs guests.
  10. Yahbut, I'd like to know how they manage "homemade" pizza. LOL.
  11. That's what I would expect in those conditions and location.
  12. The above two reports are what we would expect to be happening. I don't book Suites, but I do find it hard to believe PCL has the audacity to ping them for five bucks on normal RS orders.
  13. I think this is a great option for guests - especially with more guests getting freebees in the SD locations. Ideally, I too would love to see some "lighter" lunch options at say $25 price point, along with the regular dinner-time choices.
  14. All SD locations have been Smart Casual all the time since they launched.
  15. If you are using DMW and have added your friends as dining companions and then book a Private table, the table size will be the size of your party (or +1 if your party is an odd number). You will need to speak with DR Mgmt or Host on board if you want to remain at the same table with same waiters for the full voyage. DMW does not lock in guest to same table.
  16. You are correct. I have main business with RBC, but also BNS, CIBC (only due to the Cdn Big Box card), Oaken, EQ Bank, and RBC US. Oh, and HSBC for GBP cash account, but I don't need to access that while away.
  17. Guests, including @Cruisenewbie20181 connect to ship's Wifi in order to use the Medallion App OR to connect to the Internet using Medallion Net (free with Plus or Premier Fare Package for a single device per person) or for a flat fee per day unlimited usage.
  18. Guess you have not been checking in here recently. Big announcement back in July. Fleet wide. Arrival Groups are gone. Show up whenever convenient - but don't be late.
  19. No. All the same menu. As for usage, well one of the mid-ship DR's will contain a section for Reserve Class dining. Also, they may direct walk-ups to a certain DR (this can vary by ship). Also, if you want the TD experience with same table and waiters, they may direct you to a particular DR (can vary by ship).
  20. Not bad at all. Although, they ought to have mentioned variations in Internet such as 50% discount for Platinum & Elite guests and the fact that some folks would share one plan. They were smart to mention sea days versus port days.
