  1. Do you see it now in the image capture? The deal is $900 OBC per person notwithstanding booking Plus or Premier. Majestic doesn't go to Antarctica. Has to be one of the Sapphire voyages. That is a nice bundle of cash. IMO, best option would have been to book Standard and use the OBC to purchase Plus on board. Plus for 17 days = $1,020/pp. Net cost only $120. Unless guest was expecting to spend it all on PCL excursions.
  2. It is clear that you would have received $900 OBC booking any of Std, Plus, Premier. As mentioned above, look under Payments & Credits in Cruise Personalizer. What I would have done is book Standard and then used the huge OBC amount to purchase Plus on board Day 1 - if I did want to go with Plus. Is the offer still good? If so, I would change it to Standard. Do you have plans for $1,800 total Non-Refundable OBC?
  3. It will never be the case. An outside TA is never going to sell for more than Princess list price and you can find many US-based TA's that offer discounts off the cruise fare.
  4. Lots if you use 3 guests in the search. This seems to be some sort of "plot" by Princess for many months now and no one has posted a reason provided by Princess (not sure if anyone has asked a CVP why they are doing this). Certainly, the System can be beat by booking a fake 3rd person and then cancelling them. Or, a CVP or TA can get it overridden in some way. It is not only frustrating, but stupid of them to be doing this. I presumed it was a system bug at first, but since it has persisted, there must be a reason. A TA should ask Carmen Roig WTH Princess is doing.
  5. Welcome to the Princess Forum and Cruise Critic.
  6. I figured you would! (You know, all these questions should be unnecessary because the stupid App design should be intuitively obvious).

I have not included hyperlinks for everything. It is not an easy thing to do. Whoever started that can feel free to make a revised chart. IMO, the chart should be changed to have the text at top of each box, but I don't see that edit control provided in Cruise Critic and not planning to extract to Excel, fix and re-post.
  8. I believe you missed the actual embarkation lunch which would have been held in one of the two mid-ship DRs.
  9. Yet another Covid hangover they have not removed.
  10. I hear you, but I suppose there is a balance to be achieved as they won't want it as crowded as the Lido deck area which is chock-a-block with loungers.
  11. Have you tried changing password to sync them up?
  12. Some functions - like Crew Call and Services like Ocean Now - were designed to work only when onboard the ship. That said, send what you wrote to CustomerRelations@PrincessCruises.com. Copy Padgett if you like. He seems to think the Princess App is the greatest thing since invention of PC or microchip.
  13. I know. A cloudy day and all for naught. We could always cross over border and head for southwest shore of Lake Erie if it seems better there. Not planning to drive hundreds of miles if a massive cloud front in place.
  14. And huge prime real estate taken up by massage tent(s) that are rarely ever used.
  15. Perhaps I was not fully functioning earlier. If you are not Platinum or Elite in Captain's Circle, then you should not be able to make dining reservations in DMW until you have made final payment (which you can do early). Now this has not been the case on all voyages for all guests as several have reported in this forum being able to use DMW prior to final payment. In theory, that should also affect SD reservations since you book SD locations using DMW. The fact that DMW wants to charge you and not recognize you have two free meals would seem a different issue, but perhaps it is tied to the wait period. It sounds like the phone rep was trying to tell you about not being able to make dining res prior to final payment. Who knows what the bugs really are in DMW?
  16. Not a cruise, but we will be by water on Eclipse Day. The north-eastern shoreline of Lake Erie is in the total direct path and has the longest totality period in the vicinity and less than one hour drive from home. Looking forward to probably the only one like it we will experience in our life time. Like many members on here, most of my years are behind me and not in front of me - LOL.
  17. Sounds odd to me - even for Princess. ?
  18. Yes, this is sadly true. All of the Royal Class ships have similar lack of real shade. The best shaded Sanctuaries are on Ruby, Emerald, Crown, Caribbean and probably you can add in Grand, Sapphire and Diamond into the mix.
  19. The gauze overhead "sails" do not provide much shield from the sun.
  20. And what do you suppose the chances are of getting a rep on the phone who has not only been on a ship in question, but also attended the Sanctuary?
  21. The OP will only pay half-price for internet. $28.50 before beverages. Each guest needs to have a pretty good idea of what beverages per day, plus any of the other included items are of value to them. It's best IMO to look at a couple combined (or guest 1 & 2 in the cabin) in order to make an assessment.
  22. Sounds like you are getting a handle on it by now.
  23. Just ask to hold the items you don't want. Hold the candy, suckers, cake, and whatever else, leave you with gelato and perhaps some sauce if that is okay.
  24. Yahbut... all the Deluxes and Minis can sleep at least 3, correct?
  25. I suggest you go on Princess.com and re-read the page on the cruise packages and what is included. Then, read what is included in the Plus beverage package. It almost sounds like you guys do not need a package at all. You didn't mention the length of your cruise. Also, how many port days and do you think you will be off the ship when it is in a port and therefore consuming less - or not? You sound interested in CA and Medallion Net (internet). These total $31/day/person. That leaves $29 for beverages. Do you think you will be ordering food and/or drink to your location when on the ship? This is the Ocean Now service which costs $15/voyage. That is $1.50 - $2/day depending on if your voyage is a week or 10 nights (approx). How much coffee are you going to drink in a day? Did you know you can order pack of 12 500ml water bottles for $7 - as long as you do it pre-cruise via Cruise Personalizer (see Onboard Services section). Also, the ship's water is just fine and most folks use it. You could order a pack of water and do refills. Ship's water is well treated. Up to you of course, but it reads like you have not fully grasped the cruise fare packages. Just figure out what you think you will use and spend. Divide it out over length of cruise and and see how close to $60 you get. Remember that every beverage ordered on the ship has 18% gratuity tacked on. ETA: Note that one of you could order Ocean Now a la carte and as long as that person does the ordering, you wouldn't both need it. Works if you are mostly together and not to good if doing own thing a lot. Also, the $29 left for beverages I mentioned--- I think of it as $58 for both of us combined and what would we spend together.
