  1. You would have had same issue paying for the cruise. Each cabin is one booking/reservation. Now, Princess may accept you advising them to charge CC #1 with 50% of the bill and CC #2 with the other 50%. Same with a TA, if you booked using a TA. Most certainly, paying on board, charges can be split. I think a good idea to pay on board. I am going to differ with advice above. Buy the package for the first leg (7-nights). See if you think it is giving good value. Then decide whether to buy it for the second leg. It won't save anything to pay all 14 days ahead of time.
  2. I thought it was "settled science" for a little while now that canned soda is included in the beverage package portion.
  3. This is total BS from PCL reps. I'd keep after them. Write Customer Relations (even though you are getting refund) and copy Padgett. CustomerRelations@PrincessCruises.com.
  4. IDK about the particular mgmt operation on that ship, but any restaurant is going to have a certain number of empty tables that are awaiting reservations to show up. Obviously, they cannot seat someone at 6:30 when table is needed at 7:00. If you took reservations away entirely and made it all walk-up, then it is true a table would only sit empty while they cleared, changed linens and reset for diners. However, it may result in more people waiting. And, that would presumably erase the opportunity to keep same table and waiters each night - unless among the first wave to dine at opening.
  5. Are you writing about old App or new App because this is the old App thread?
  6. Sure, but it is not necessarily a good value. As long as you are paying Crew Appreciation and booking Internet, look at the costs: CA = $16/day MNet = $15/day Soda = $17.70/day TOTAL = almost $49/day. Only $11/day more and you have the Plus covered. If you don't drink anything other than what that package includes, then it is a good deal.
  7. If you check in early, the chances of seeing a manned wine table are very very close to nil.
  8. I would suggest to ask a DR Mgr or DR Host and they likely know best how they operate on that ship and the best DR for shortest waits.
  9. They are FCDs. Future Cruise Deposits. You each use one for your deposit per booking.
  10. Sorry, but they were recommendations then as well - not rules. The only "rule" was on what was NOT accepted/welcomed in the DR - and that list did include shorts, T's and flip-flops. Smart Casual was quite acceptable on all nights pre-pandemic. I cannot say when things began to relax exactly, but far from all guests were dressing formally on formal nights pre-pandemic (and by formal I mean the attire PCL recommended).
  11. I cannot disagree with you. I am a Smart Casual dresser all evenings.
  12. Many folks are not adept at formulating searches to narrow down to specific results. It is also important when using the CC Forum search to open up the search options and use some of them. It can help to filter searches down to multiple key words rather than get results that might only contain one of them. So, yes, it becomes simple for many folks to just jump on and ask a question that might have been asked three hours ago.
  13. You did, but that 14-night cruise was a "logical" voyage made up of two 7-night "physical" voyages. You returned to Fort Lauderdale in the middle and people got off and new people got on.
  14. They still exist. More now than a couple or so years ago.
  15. There is no "may" about it. You were given the correct answer above.
  16. See post #1362. Princess IT almost has more bugs than a swamp.
  17. It is not a problem. No software issue there IMO. It is one logical cruise on the same ship comprised of two physical voyages.
  18. That is a new one on me. Never seen that before.
  19. Was your idea to divide the ashes so that you would leave them in two different locations? I had not thought of something like that before.
  20. I think someone has mentioned this previously but there is nothing transferred from old App to new App. The new App sources the data from central database where the old App accesses the same data. New presentation and some new program logic involved, but the same data.
  21. The link appears to be from the Cruise Personalizer - Onboard Services. If it is still offered there, IDK why it isn't listed on the main website under beverage packages. I do not have a current booking to check it myself. Could be an old link. It also has "global" in the URL and we don't know where the poster is from.
  22. You do not have to go 10 & 10. You could get 6 beers, for example, and 14 Perrier or Coke.
  23. Yeah... see posts 10 & 11. It felt like a 2022 thing. Was probably announced then. Not going to research exact date. But I was thinking wrong.
  24. Immaterial in my mind. If all contracted, then a lot easier to get rid of them. Maybe the problem is that not enough business-side employees are involved in the project.
