No hole in ours on Eurodam

We are on Eurodam & sitting in Pinnacle having our last breakfast before heading to the airport. 2 big ships and the NA and us. Had a great cruise. Staff are wonderful as usual. Photo taken from our balcony before breakfast.

Since we are in a Neptune suite the cruise, flights & hotel add up so we bought the whole coverage through our Pacific Blue across insurance. I’m the same-would rather have it than not.

Thanks. It wasn’t a good start for our first holiday in almost 4 years that’s for sure. By having our friends with us we had a good time & lots of laughs in Calgary. We contacted our insurance while in Calgary & all should work out. Just so thankful we travelled 3 days prior to the cruise. A fellow on our flight had a cruise the next day & wouldn’t make it.

What really bothered us about our first flight was they said it was delayed from 6am to at least 8am. Then 20 minutes later saying to start boarding that they were taking a different route. We could have made our connecting flight after all but apparently the airline decided to cancel us & our friends on it plus there were a ton of others who missed their flight. Luckily we have trip interruption insurance that should cover the hotel we had to get at Calgary airport & our meals.

When we left for our cruise on the Eurodam on Sunday, November 5th our flight from Vancouver was delayed because of “volcanic ash”. We missed our connecting flight to Ft Lauderdale because of it. Seems it travels very far so monitor your flights.

My husband had that last night and said it was very good.

Ok, that would be the reason I’ve avoided it all these years!

It’s probably because I didn’t know what they were so never ordered them. If it’s a meringue looking dessert that could be why?

I don’t even know what it looks like-have never had one!

We are back from our HAL excursion Ultimate Curacao, Beach & Turtle snorkel & lunch. We are still in Curacao until 10:30pm tonight. Our excursion was great. The “boxed” lunch was good too-chicken in a wrap, cookies, apple, pop or water. I took photos with our old underwater camera & we’re very happy how they turned out. I’ll attach a couple I took. I would recommend this tour.

Pretty crazy isn’t it. Let’s hope they get an update for the Nav app soon. At least I can chat with our friends on messenger or text while on the ship still.

Some info of what to not do while away & bored: Anyone with an iPhone I’ll warn you right now-I was bored yesterday so updated to iOS 17.1.1. Well, my navigator app works but NOT the chat. Neptune concierge tried to help, phoned the IT who couldn’t it to work so escalated. Hope they figure it out soon as that’s how we’ve communicated with our friends on board. 🤷‍♀️

If I think of it tonight (we have late dining) I’ll look. Seems to me there has been 1 different item every night that is shown just above the regular menu. (And it’s not just because we are in a Neptune as our friends get it too) Loving the Eurodam!

Look closely at your statement. For our 35 day cruise if we bought the Premium (I think that’s what it was called) HAL cancel for any reason insurance, final payment wasn’t until a month after that. Not sure if that’s an option for you or not.

It was fine tonight when we walked by. I think it’s quite random & only for seconds. We did have an issue regarding the temperature in our Neptune suite-I’m one that likes it quite cold but it was freezing. Tried for 2 days to warm it up & they finally did. Now it’s great. The ship is in fine form in our opinion. Staff are wonderful too. Just had an amazing dinner in the Tamarind.

We are on the ship now and find sometimes mid ship just before where you turn to get an elevator it smells like that for just a couple seconds. Deck 7.

It’s just nice sometimes to put faces to names on here. Our “kids” laughed at that photo. Guess having the HIA makes for some fun as I don’t usually drink 😁

My husbands luggage wasn’t here. It showed on our apple tag still at dock and it was 3:30. Went to Neptune concierge who made phone calls & thankfully found it. Stressful. So we decided to just invite our friends to come sit on our port side balcony. We are just back of the elevators.

Lol. Well I wasn’t about to say anything as I’m on the dam ship already & eating at the Neptune lounge!

We didn’t request a wave but we always sail out from aft deck port side where pool is. I love hearing the horns & seeing the waves from the condos there. Hubby is very tall with a green top & I’m short with a green top. I’ll be waving. Lol. Quickest check in at cruise terminal ever. Only Eurodam & another ship. Now upstairs with lemonade & cookies! Getting real now!
