  1. Loved following along! Our son and his wife were in Kodiak a few years ago and booked a float plane to see the bears. The other couple didn’t show up but the pilot took them up on their own. They had an amazing time, saw the bears close up eating salmon etc. They sat on the pontoons and got such beautiful photos. The pilot asked if they wanted to see anything else & took them on a fly by of the ship so they got aerial views. (Was an independent tour not a ship tour).
  2. What a party you guys will have on this cruise. Hope you all have lots and lots of laughs and fun! @kazu stay safe and 3rd time will be perfect for you. BON VOYAGE!
  3. So excited you are going on another cruise and “taking” us along. I always enjoy reading your threads. Safe travels and have a blast!
  4. Love reading about your very long cruises and your blog! Thanks again for sharing. Your inside cabin looks great.
  5. Have you joined the roll call? They might have ideas.
  6. I know you’re going to try that on your next cruise, aren’t you 😂😂😂
  7. Thanks for commenting on your experience with the added items on the menu-I think those 2 “crew” meals would be something my husband would enjoy. Great photos too! Glad you saw orcas-they are so majestic.
  8. That’s interesting…wonder if anyone had it how it was.
  9. I’m not sure either who/what you are referring to but all is good!
  10. @kazu So happy to see you’re going on another cruise! Best wishes for a wonderful time. Like others have said, you deserve it. Your knowledge with helping others and keep everything (and us) organized is greatly appreciated.
  11. I’m Canadian so not any help but I’m sorry to hear the company now won’t insure your husband.
  12. Wow, that’s amazing & very lucky! I’d go out & buy a lotto ticket!
  13. Totally agree! We have learned so many tips from their posts and blog. Love all the photos too.
  14. Oh Roz, that isn’t good at all. I hope you make it and no line up at Canada Place once you arrive. Have a wonderful time to all going on this great itinerary!
  15. @cbr663 I wish HAL would have continued making the smaller ships that have amazing itineraries and can get into places the larger ones can’t.
  16. We love Bonaire-such a quaint place & of course the snorkelling is amazing! I guess there is so many places that are limiting ships now it’s hit or miss which ship gets in.
  17. I agree with you, people making a bunch of $1 deposits tying up cabins should not be allowed. Perhaps the limit should be set at 4? Not sure really. Putting holds on cabins usually only lasts a few days but the $1 deposits tie up the cabin for many months until final payment. Another welcome to CC and cruising!
  18. I’d much rather overnight in Curacao than Aruba at least. Sorry about Bonaire though. I’m hoping our November cruise gets to all the ABC Islands.
  19. They can only hold them for so long…my PCC held one cruise for me for 5 days because I was away. Usually I think it’s 24 hour hold.
  20. Oh I realize that and I don’t agree it’s right but if HAL allows it nothing we can do. I don’t slam people for taking advantage of it. I also don’t agree that they should be allowed to book so many. I think that is HAL’s goal about showing how booked they are. I do wish they’d limit it but until they do….🤷‍♀️
  21. The Ryndam was our very first cruise ever and very special for us. We booked a Neptune suite and it was wonderful. I do miss the small ships.
  22. We always have our phone on airplane mode when on the ship. In your Canadian ports you can turn airplane mode off when on land. If you have internet included on the ship your phone should still be in airplane mode but wifi on as far as I know. Hopefully someone that is more tech savvy will chime in. There’s usually a paper in the cabin explaining how to use ship wifi.
