  1. The “tea time” delivered sounds very disappointing. Our last Neptune suite the concierge said she’d have to find out how much to charge us. Ummm…we’ve had it several times when in a suite so I told her to let us know before I order it. Well, no charge but it certainly was not like it used to be. We were disappointed to say the least. Wonder what the hostess in the Pinnacle had up her butt to deny that couple their request 🤦‍♀️ Nice to hear about the glaciers. I really need to talk hubby into doing Alaska again. Been many years since we have been there. Wonderful you had such good weather to enjoy the glaciers.
  2. Good reminder. We have a Neptune suite in November. I check stuff (but not binoculars which I’ll do this time) and always take a photo of when we open the fridge & just before we disembark in case of issues (which there has been in the past). I wish they’d have a list of what’s in the cabin that you have to sign is there & they can check before you leave that all items are there instead of after you leave and at home. The doors to cabins were left open a lot when people disembark & anything could be taken then.
  3. My friend in the USA did the $1 deposit and hers was non refundable but ours was.
  4. Bon Voyage to all! @LAFFNVEGAS Please do a “live from”…always enjoy reading and seeing your photos!
  5. I’m married to a fellow who is 6’4” and in the past was satisfied with the afternoon tea and sandwiches etc. We haven’t been on since December 2019 but will find out in November when we cruise again. We always know there’s the Lido or room service if needed. I think it’s a matter of the cruise line trying to avoid waste but if someone asks for more it should be allowed.
  6. Smooth sailing! Love Bar Harbor. Have a great time and I’ll be watching for your updates.
  7. So strange isn’t it. We used to love going to the afternoon tea. We will try when we go on the Eurodam later this year & see what happens. I’d certainly be submitting a comment on the Navigator App about it and hope they do.
  8. Haven’t even sailed yet & you lost her 😂😂😂 We haven’t done lunch at the Pinnacle in years but might try it again on our next upcoming cruise. Will be interested on your opinion.
  9. Great info for us that would like to cruise out of Boston one of these days, thanks! Make sure the Pinnacle knows it’s your birthday. Have a great dinner there tomorrow night and happy birthday 🎂
  10. Because he’s the original OP of this thread and can supply any information he wants.
  11. We’ve used Woodwind twice in the past and were very impressed. Dee is amazing. Highly recommend them.
  12. Totally agree! We used SeaCow several years ago and they were fantastic.
  13. If you “HIA” you can pay the difference between the signature & Elite drinks as you go (as far as I know). It really depends on just what you need & how much you drink. Without the HIA it can be much cheaper and worth just paying for your drinks etc. It does make a head spin for sure! How wonderful to be taking you Mom. Maybe talk to an experienced travel agent who is familiar with HAL or a PCC (personal cruise consultant) at HAL to answer some of your questions. Or post more here as people will help with questions you have.
  14. Unless you have the “Have it All” there are no speciality restaurants included or wifi. There is an extra cost for lobster. Before you book you should familiarize yourself with the perks of a Neptune suite on the HAL website or with whomever you are going to book with. Enjoy the cruise-the Neptune suites are lovely.
  15. Thanks for the update. We are actually booked on the HAL tour of this using our HIA. Would be good to come back & compare on here you’d experience & ours. It sounds familiar so I’m wondering if we did this a few years back.
  16. Darn. Lol. Guess I’ll find out in November! You’d think it would-cheaper than getting an alcoholic drink. 🤷‍♀️
  17. It’s been a few years since on the Koningsdam but their milkshakes were delicious!
  18. @Crew News are the milkshakes at the gelato bar included in the HIA?
  19. @Btimmer really enjoying your blog and posts on here and especially the photos! What a trip your grandson has had. I like the set up of your cabin the way the turned the sofa around too. Good idea.
