We are trying late dining for the first time on our upcoming Caribbean cruise. We always, in the past, did anytime. If we don’t like it we will ask the concierge to change it for us. As much as we don’t like bothering the Neptune concierge sometimes it’s just easier. I think the first night for anytime dining can be a zoo depending on what time you go. But like others have said you can go to the dining room in the Club Orange line and usually get what you ask for.

I have totally enjoyed it. My grandpa was from the Netherlands and I’ve never been there. The flowers almost brought tears to my eyes as it made me think of him. I’m not sure I’ll ever get there but never say never, right!

We haven’t been on a cruise since we did 2 weeks on Oosterdam back in 2019. But we’ve got a Caribbean one later this year with friends and maybe a South Pacific next year. Remember, any time we see you on a ship you are more than welcome to join us.

@Copper10-8 Glad you enjoyed our city again. We love the Keg-especially their mushroom Neptune appetizer. Your escort was Port Authority not VPD. They don’t do it much any longer since Mr Bear retired which is a shame.

I posted photos of our signature suite on the Koningsdam on halfacts dot com. That is a great one for 3 people with a Murphy bed almost private -hard to explain but look up cabin 7105 for more photos. In these 2 photos the Murphy bed comes out from behind the picture. We loved this suite.

@oakridger I cruised with another girlfriend several years back as well in a Neptune suite but still found when the beds were separated I felt cramped so it’s probably just me. Perhaps it’s my claustrophobia that also played a small part on the set up of the beds separated 🤷‍♀️ I am definitely excited and looking forward to our Neptune suite in the Caribbean later this year, seems like forever since we’ve cruised. (Hope Mr Bear doesn’t read this-I never tell him I book Neptune suites but I think he’s used to it, lol).

This photo was from a trip with a girlfriend instead of Mr Bear. I found it a bit cramped with the beds apart. I’m sure it’s comfortable for some so maybe I’m just used to one big bed! If you look close at the photos, the couch is almost touching the bed. Just found it “crowded”. I survived but used to more space I guess.

Thanks for the photos-we are in a Neptune deck 7 on the Eurodam for our Caribbean cruise later this year. As much as I’d love an aft hubby just doesn’t do well with the motion of the ocean. I, on the other hand, love it.

You picked a beautiful day for the train ride and to leave the Vancouver port. It’s a fantastic clear day here in Vancouver-and you’ll see Grouse Mountain still with snow on it!

We did our renewal during the pandemic and it sure surprised me it came in regular mail-pleasantly surprised though when we both got ours.

I can’t remember how long ours took but they came in regular Canada Post mail to our house.

Wow….what an eye opener post. I’m glad to hear you’re back on the ship and not in pain. I applaud you both for what you’ve gone through as I don’t think I would do well under those circumstances.
