I guess the most I’d like it to work is for messenger to chat with our little grandkids. Or even be able to see photos or videos they post. We have the HIA so hope the wifi will work a little.

We love it when the ship is in port that long. Make sure you walk around in the evening-it’s very pretty with the lights. We were there one time a few weeks before Christmas and it was lovely. One of our favourite Caribbean ports. You are most welcome. Enjoy!

I don’t know if there are any tours in town as we’ve always seen them right at the dock as you get off the ship. Not sure how long you’re in port for but we try to do an excursion in the morning and walk around town after that.

The walk into town isn’t very far. It’s over the Queen Emma bridge that opens and you’re right there! I have an issue with walking any distance and I found it no problem.

We have been to Curacao a few times off a ship. One tour we did was Irie Tours which we had prebooked (independent). It’s been a few years but the 4 of us enjoyed it. Included was the National Park, “Fisherman’s Wharf” where you could swim with the turtles for a short time, and a stop for beach time at Playa Porto Mari beach. Another year we just walked off the ship and booked a 2 hour city tour with Ben’s tours which included a stop at the Curacao factory where we got to taste some. Other times we’ve been there we have just walked into town of booked snorkel excursions. I’m sure you’ll find something suitable for what you’re interested. Enjoy, we love Curacao!

Wow-they are very, very lucky the ship didn’t leave. We’ve watched over our balcony (like your video) 2 passengers running to the ship as well and lucky they made it.

I agree. We always buy insurance but not from our TA.

They get commission but most seasoned travelers are aware they “should” have insurance but lots don’t buy it.

I hope you phone your TA and maybe tell her to also learn from what happened. I’m not sure it’s a TA responsibility other than to ask if people want insurance. We always buy it.

So sorry this happened to you. My sister in law is going on an alaska cruise this summer and have 3 to a room. I’ll be giving her a heads up.

Yikes $89 refund, that’s it? I’d be interested in knowing what kind of insurance is needed in future if 3 sharing a cabin & one cancels. I know some have said that the others should just show up and claim ignorance if one of the party does not make the cruise. 🤷‍♀️

Just found your thread and am happily following along now. The Riverside is our favourite hotel to stay at when we cruise from Ft Lauderdale. There are so many great restaurants within walking distance. What fun having a girls cruise! Looking forward to more photos and adventures you’re all having.

When I used the humidifier on my CPAP I used the tap water on HAL, never an issue. The last 3 years I’ve had the dehumidifier disengaged as after over 12 years of using it, it became annoying.

I disagree-I bet if they hired teens it would work well! 😂😂

I’m going to have to figure out how to change to a U.S. location 🤦‍♀️ lol
