  1. There are a lot of us on the 2024 South Pacific cruise who booked the 2025 when it came available with the early booking bonus so I think a lot went with the CO and upgrade on cabin including us. (Just my thoughts). Not sure what ideas to give you, sorry. I’m sure others will chime in that have more experience regarding booking CO. We’ve only ever had it when in a Neptune suite but for 2025 we booked the lowest Vista suite & upgraded cabin with CO.
  2. We are booked on the Eurodam for the ABC islands in November. So far no changes but who knows. I know our friends that are coming with us would be disappointed if some were cancelled as they’ve never been before.
  3. Thank you. I’ll write it down and if not on the menu when we go in November I can always ask.
  4. I’ve never tried that, I’ll have to consider that at the Canaletto. I assume very tender?
  5. Exactly what I wanted to know! My husband loves the Osso bucco so I’ll reserve soon as on the ship in November.
  6. @Bostonjetset I’m so glad you got to enjoy some of the highlights in Vancouver and area. I was born & raised in Vancouver & still live in the city fairly close to the cruise port. So much to see and do here so I’m glad you had some time. Thanks for taking us along on your cruise! I enjoyed reading and seeing your photos. Such great memories you’ve made with your Mom and so special she could celebrate with you on a cruise.
  7. Wow, that’s great news! Very lucky!
  8. Oh I never thought of that except for the fish. I’ve never gone hungry on a ship so not worried, lol. Might be a good selling point to get my hubby to go on an Alaska cruise again though.
  9. I have yet to make up my mind on all the dinner menus you’ve posted! I think I’ll be in trouble in November as I’ll have no choice but to pick something, lol. It all looks so good.
  10. Will also be watching and reading your journey. Love your detailed reports. (You’ve helped us a lot in planning our South Pacific cruise in February, thank you for that!) Enjoy!
  11. @Bostonjetset oh no. Back to work…I don’t miss those days! I hope your Mom had a wonderful 70th birthday-great way to celebrate on a ship. @SilvertoGold I also love it when people cruise from Vancouver and post photos of our city.
  12. Welcome to our world of Air Canada (and WestJet) where you pay pay pay! Unfortunately near the cruise port you have to be careful as drugs & homeless abound. Love the old steam clock, glad you got to see and hear it. Nice view from your hotel! Beautiful photos too of Stanley Park and some on the ship. You scored a very nice upsell!
  13. Since we live in Vancouver it’s easy to get to the port for Alaska but it cuts into hubby’s fishing time, lol. Wish I could find a friend who doesn’t snore to go with me, lol!
  14. It’s quite breezy where we live so hope Seattle is better. Might be a bit bumpy seas. Have a wonderful cruise! I still haven’t convinced MrBear to do Alaska again but I’m pushing for next year!
  15. Have really enjoyed all your posts and photos. Thanks so much for taking us along!
  16. @cruisemom42 A very interesting read. I’ve always appreciated your honest reviews. Thanks for doing this. One day we may branch out and try O.
  17. We have ordered room service when we’ve been stuck after an excursion with not much open to grab a bite to eat. Nice to hear you are enjoying the cruise and would book another. We love the staff too-they are hard working lovely people.
  18. We may do that in November on the Eurodam and invite the other couple coming with us but not in a suite. We did that several years ago with them & it was enjoyable. Thanks for the idea.
  19. I’m tempted if he doesn’t want to go I’ll go with a friend (but I’ve cruised with 2 friends before who both snored horribly).
  20. The “tea time” delivered sounds very disappointing. Our last Neptune suite the concierge said she’d have to find out how much to charge us. Ummm…we’ve had it several times when in a suite so I told her to let us know before I order it. Well, no charge but it certainly was not like it used to be. We were disappointed to say the least. Wonder what the hostess in the Pinnacle had up her butt to deny that couple their request 🤦‍♀️ Nice to hear about the glaciers. I really need to talk hubby into doing Alaska again. Been many years since we have been there. Wonderful you had such good weather to enjoy the glaciers.
