  1. I’m not sure either who/what you are referring to but all is good!
  2. @kazu So happy to see you’re going on another cruise! Best wishes for a wonderful time. Like others have said, you deserve it. Your knowledge with helping others and keep everything (and us) organized is greatly appreciated.
  3. I’m Canadian so not any help but I’m sorry to hear the company now won’t insure your husband.
  4. Wow, that’s amazing & very lucky! I’d go out & buy a lotto ticket!
  5. Totally agree! We have learned so many tips from their posts and blog. Love all the photos too.
  6. Oh Roz, that isn’t good at all. I hope you make it and no line up at Canada Place once you arrive. Have a wonderful time to all going on this great itinerary!
  7. @cbr663 I wish HAL would have continued making the smaller ships that have amazing itineraries and can get into places the larger ones can’t.
  8. We love Bonaire-such a quaint place & of course the snorkelling is amazing! I guess there is so many places that are limiting ships now it’s hit or miss which ship gets in.
  9. I agree with you, people making a bunch of $1 deposits tying up cabins should not be allowed. Perhaps the limit should be set at 4? Not sure really. Putting holds on cabins usually only lasts a few days but the $1 deposits tie up the cabin for many months until final payment. Another welcome to CC and cruising!
  10. I’d much rather overnight in Curacao than Aruba at least. Sorry about Bonaire though. I’m hoping our November cruise gets to all the ABC Islands.
  11. They can only hold them for so long…my PCC held one cruise for me for 5 days because I was away. Usually I think it’s 24 hour hold.
  12. Oh I realize that and I don’t agree it’s right but if HAL allows it nothing we can do. I don’t slam people for taking advantage of it. I also don’t agree that they should be allowed to book so many. I think that is HAL’s goal about showing how booked they are. I do wish they’d limit it but until they do….🤷‍♀️
  13. The Ryndam was our very first cruise ever and very special for us. We booked a Neptune suite and it was wonderful. I do miss the small ships.
  14. We always have our phone on airplane mode when on the ship. In your Canadian ports you can turn airplane mode off when on land. If you have internet included on the ship your phone should still be in airplane mode but wifi on as far as I know. Hopefully someone that is more tech savvy will chime in. There’s usually a paper in the cabin explaining how to use ship wifi.
  15. There are a lot of us on the 2024 South Pacific cruise who booked the 2025 when it came available with the early booking bonus so I think a lot went with the CO and upgrade on cabin including us. (Just my thoughts). Not sure what ideas to give you, sorry. I’m sure others will chime in that have more experience regarding booking CO. We’ve only ever had it when in a Neptune suite but for 2025 we booked the lowest Vista suite & upgraded cabin with CO.
  16. We are booked on the Eurodam for the ABC islands in November. So far no changes but who knows. I know our friends that are coming with us would be disappointed if some were cancelled as they’ve never been before.
  17. Thank you. I’ll write it down and if not on the menu when we go in November I can always ask.
  18. I’ve never tried that, I’ll have to consider that at the Canaletto. I assume very tender?
  19. Exactly what I wanted to know! My husband loves the Osso bucco so I’ll reserve soon as on the ship in November.
  20. @Bostonjetset I’m so glad you got to enjoy some of the highlights in Vancouver and area. I was born & raised in Vancouver & still live in the city fairly close to the cruise port. So much to see and do here so I’m glad you had some time. Thanks for taking us along on your cruise! I enjoyed reading and seeing your photos. Such great memories you’ve made with your Mom and so special she could celebrate with you on a cruise.
  21. Wow, that’s great news! Very lucky!
  22. Oh I never thought of that except for the fish. I’ve never gone hungry on a ship so not worried, lol. Might be a good selling point to get my hubby to go on an Alaska cruise again though.
  23. I have yet to make up my mind on all the dinner menus you’ve posted! I think I’ll be in trouble in November as I’ll have no choice but to pick something, lol. It all looks so good.
