  1. Will also be watching and reading your journey. Love your detailed reports. (You’ve helped us a lot in planning our South Pacific cruise in February, thank you for that!) Enjoy!
  2. @Bostonjetset oh no. Back to work…I don’t miss those days! I hope your Mom had a wonderful 70th birthday-great way to celebrate on a ship. @SilvertoGold I also love it when people cruise from Vancouver and post photos of our city.
  3. Welcome to our world of Air Canada (and WestJet) where you pay pay pay! Unfortunately near the cruise port you have to be careful as drugs & homeless abound. Love the old steam clock, glad you got to see and hear it. Nice view from your hotel! Beautiful photos too of Stanley Park and some on the ship. You scored a very nice upsell!
  4. Since we live in Vancouver it’s easy to get to the port for Alaska but it cuts into hubby’s fishing time, lol. Wish I could find a friend who doesn’t snore to go with me, lol!
  5. It’s quite breezy where we live so hope Seattle is better. Might be a bit bumpy seas. Have a wonderful cruise! I still haven’t convinced MrBear to do Alaska again but I’m pushing for next year!
  6. Have really enjoyed all your posts and photos. Thanks so much for taking us along!
  7. @cruisemom42 A very interesting read. I’ve always appreciated your honest reviews. Thanks for doing this. One day we may branch out and try O.
  8. We have ordered room service when we’ve been stuck after an excursion with not much open to grab a bite to eat. Nice to hear you are enjoying the cruise and would book another. We love the staff too-they are hard working lovely people.
  9. We may do that in November on the Eurodam and invite the other couple coming with us but not in a suite. We did that several years ago with them & it was enjoyable. Thanks for the idea.
  10. I’m tempted if he doesn’t want to go I’ll go with a friend (but I’ve cruised with 2 friends before who both snored horribly).
  11. The “tea time” delivered sounds very disappointing. Our last Neptune suite the concierge said she’d have to find out how much to charge us. Ummm…we’ve had it several times when in a suite so I told her to let us know before I order it. Well, no charge but it certainly was not like it used to be. We were disappointed to say the least. Wonder what the hostess in the Pinnacle had up her butt to deny that couple their request 🤦‍♀️ Nice to hear about the glaciers. I really need to talk hubby into doing Alaska again. Been many years since we have been there. Wonderful you had such good weather to enjoy the glaciers.
  12. Good reminder. We have a Neptune suite in November. I check stuff (but not binoculars which I’ll do this time) and always take a photo of when we open the fridge & just before we disembark in case of issues (which there has been in the past). I wish they’d have a list of what’s in the cabin that you have to sign is there & they can check before you leave that all items are there instead of after you leave and at home. The doors to cabins were left open a lot when people disembark & anything could be taken then.
  13. My friend in the USA did the $1 deposit and hers was non refundable but ours was.
  14. Bon Voyage to all! @LAFFNVEGAS Please do a “live from”…always enjoy reading and seeing your photos!
  15. I’m married to a fellow who is 6’4” and in the past was satisfied with the afternoon tea and sandwiches etc. We haven’t been on since December 2019 but will find out in November when we cruise again. We always know there’s the Lido or room service if needed. I think it’s a matter of the cruise line trying to avoid waste but if someone asks for more it should be allowed.
  16. Smooth sailing! Love Bar Harbor. Have a great time and I’ll be watching for your updates.
  17. So strange isn’t it. We used to love going to the afternoon tea. We will try when we go on the Eurodam later this year & see what happens. I’d certainly be submitting a comment on the Navigator App about it and hope they do.
