Hoping Carnival will enforce the rules they have in place and the new ones. It is a sad state of affairs that some people need to be reminded to have basic manners and courtesy and to parent their children appropriately. Remember the me, me, me generation? They are now the parents of kids with the same behaviors Carnival—Please, please, please enforce the rules and follow through with penalties for bad behavior. If there are no consequences for bad behavior, there is no reason to change it! A few people being booted off their cruise, as examples of consequences, should definitely get the desired results.

We have lways ordered what we wanted in the casino and received it. Nothing out of the ordinary though. Agree with the “need” to tip servers in order to get repeat orders filled. It works 95% of the time. It’s a sad but true fact. Don’t tip a buck or two and good luck getting drink #2 and so on …

Yes, please bring back the Seuss at Sea Breakfast! Dear Granddaughter is really looking forward to this, at the end of November. It’s her 1st cruise and if she likes it, mom told dad, there will be more! Happy kid = happy parents. :)

OP: if it’s the 1st weekend in November…it is Lone Star Rally time. There will be 400,000+ motorcycles in Galveston. Plan ahead for that weekend.

We’ll hope for the best for the next cruise. At this point, for US, it’s an important one. A new haircut is fabulous, snip here, snip there….but it’s started to feel like a hacked up bowl cut. Hell I don’t even like mushrooms 🤢 The onions were/are fabulous tho. Agree on the pig patty…overcooked hard bacon puck. Yuck. We did notice the fries change in Nov 2021 and didn’t care for that.

Was just reading nybumpkin’s Magic review and she says this: Had Guy’s twice – while the burger was good, I was disappointed that they cut back the available toppings. My “go to” burger use to be a Plain Jane with cheese, topped with bacon and mushrooms and one of Guy’s sauces. The sauces are there, but the bacon and mushrooms were no more. OMG!!!!!! Did I somehow miss this being another cut back????? If this is true, I think we just hit the ‘what would it take to be over Carniva’l thread event. THAT’S too much. Dang, I hope this is a one off for some reason. With all the other bs changes they’re making……poo…I’m so disappointed….Crud….2 newbies on next up cruise. I’m about to be embarrassed to bring them. Yes, I know they were shut down, blah blah blah. But good heavens…. Nice review. Very enjoyable read. But, this is baaaaad news 😞 Edited just now by silvercrikhix

‘I pack proper “perfect” rolled clothing for motorcycle tours, because I have to. Cruise, nah, I’m checking that big suitcase. Just my preference. Europe, yeah, not bringing much there. Too hard to travel there.

Anybody still wondering why all the cutbacks?

We’ll see what happens next 2 cruises before making any decisions. The things cruises have been known for are disappearing. The product that drew us in 12 years ago has had so many changes. It’s losing its appeal, change by change. Change is NOT ALWAYS good.

‘The staff were excellent from Bartenders to Waiters. Professional & frimdly. The layout of the Dream is also nice and easy to remember. The fellow passengers were all fine. Saw no instances of troublemakers. ‘Nice Serenity area. Now, I will say, the food needs help. A buffet with 4 choices is not good. Always rice, baked potatoes, a veggie, a casserole and a meat. Just awful. Hoping it’s improved. If the new CEO is saying he wants “happy” customers, he best up the food choices and address the lines people are facing. We did not have lines on the Dream. But wasn’t sailing full either.

We found 2 on the Dream in November. One in an elevator and one in an outdoor seating area chair. The elevator duck had a Facebook group name to report the finding and whether you intended to keep or re-hide them. We re-hid them both. It was a fun surprise to find them, some harmless fun, made me smile.

We were on the Dream in November. The temperatures indoors were fine. Also turned down our AC, as it was running too cold! We liked the Dream so much, we booked her again for this November. And are adding 2 adult kids and a Granddaughter (5) for her 1st cruise. She’s a great ship.

Sometimes, It can also make your teeth ache. Not a fun way to cruise. The over the counter type with trays, like Rembrandt, work well for us at considerably less $. Do it before your cruise.

This would have been an interesting poll topic. ‘Another vote for we don’t care who the CD is because it doesn’t impact our cruise in the least. ‘We’ve never seen a show onboard yet. Comedy yes. We’ve watched the CD TV show in cabin for a few minutes here and there. Meh……

Gifts, new purse, make-up, perfume, jewelry, a new watch, duty free liquor, bingo, casino, specialty dining! Have Fun! Hubs bought me a special edition watch on our last cruise that I love. $650++

We brought biodegradable paper straws with us last cruise. They lasted long enough to finish a drink but then begin to break down soon after. Works well enough for us. They were also individually wrapped in biodegradable thin white tissue type paper, so stayed clean until use. They’re very affordable and I get my fruity/slushy/tropical drinks the way they belong. Sucked through a straw. 🍹 Cheers! We’ve brought the Brita filtering water bottles with us before. They work great, however, dragging a water bottle around stinks. And you can’t beat bringing bottled water with you off the ship in ports.
