  1. Does Telenor kick in on North America or is it Cellular at Sea? Honest question.
  2. The nice thing about a Neptune Suite is you have access to the concierges, who work miracles. Pop into the Neptune Lounge, when you first board, and see what they can do. (Assuming you need those items back for the evening.) Make sure you check off on the laundry sheet that you would like your items back on hangers or you might just receive them all nicely folded back into the same folds they arrived in. 😂 Embarkation day is a super busy day for all the crew, so be sure you get to the lounge as soon as you can. Have a great cruise and welcome to HAL!
  3. Oh wow. Thanks for the screenshots. Sadly, another bit of paradise about to be defiled by man. For some reason, I thought they’d be dredging the current pier and extending it. It looks like the area they are building in will be more open to the elements, which may impact its usefulness. Oh well. I enjoyed it when.
  4. I think it’s the legs. Men never stand like they’re about to curtsy.
  5. That was me!! 😂
  6. Oh my. It got a quick glance and then went into the recycling! I am pretty sure it looked like all the others with a picture of a Cunard ship. Sorry!
  7. Mine arrived in August.
  8. Even more “essential “ is being able to go to the toilet when you need to!
  9. Same! Some can be really ambiguous. It helps when they are close to each other so I can compare the two. I have noticed, more and more, that they are now being designated as universal toilets so they do not distinguish between male and female. I have seen this in several countries. Speaking of ambiguity… my worst experience was in Manchester Airport! I saw the “Toilets” sign, with arrow pointing toward a back hallway. I followed it down to where I saw some doors. The only one I could find said “Wudu Facility”. I kept going down to the end of the hall but could see nothing which might look like a toilet. I came back out, checked the “Toilets” sign, again, to make sure I was where I was supposed to be, then went back down the hall to look again. Finally, I decided to peek in the Wudu Facility. It was the ladies toilets! You know you have gone too far to be inclusive when a lady can’t recognise the door to the ladies. 🤷‍♀️
  10. The only times I have purchased ship internet was due to work obligations, and I was a bit resentful! 😂 On my June TA, I chose to disconnect. My thinking was that there was nothing I needed to know and nothing that I could do about it anyway. Except fret. Yes, you may be able to pick up an AT&T signal on the St Lawrence. Then, again, you may just pick up a Canadian service provider. It all depends which signal is strongest at the time. If you want to see if you have service, turn airplane mode off then check to see which provider pops up. If it says Cellular at Sea, or something other than LTE/3/4/5G/AT&T, turn airplane mode back on to disconnect.
  11. I vote for Cunardians as it encompasses the Canadian roots!
  12. An excellent question, indeed! Has anyone taken the Skagway train through BC and the Yukon? What are the CBSA requirements for that excursion? After all, you are only in transit; the same as when you visit a cruise port. I can’t imagine you’d be making a Customs declaration when you’re not bringing goods into Canada. Yet. Even NEXUS doesn’t require you to list in-transit visits on the application. I’d ask at Guest Services on the ship. You can’t be the only Canadians onboard and you’re likely not the first ship to ever go through this process. I definitely would be asking that question onboard or if you are lucky enough to find a CBSA Officer! I would really want to know that your exit and entry time doesn’t reset the duty-free amount! I’m glad you will be taking a picture! Shoot. I got distracted by a big thunderstorm and have forgotten my other suggestion. I might be back! 😂
  13. By any chance, did you purchase a guarantee room, or do you have an assigned room?
  14. Yay! Try deleting the app then re-installing. They should show up then. The app might still be trying to use a previous sailing.
  15. Have you tried downloading them from the website?
  16. I haven’t flown internationally with WestJet but was on a KLM Dreamliner last year. I can honestly say that it was the best economy experience I have ever had. The seats not only reclined, the bottom of the seat also moved forward, giving you a much more comfortable experience. There was also more room between my seat and the seat in front of me (pitch). The thing that I found most amazing was the dimmable window shades. They offered a distinct and different view out the window and pretty much made my flight. The sunset was amazing and captured colors that I didn’t even know existed. Having said the above, I hope that someone will be able to comment on WestJet’s version of the Dreamliner because it may be a bit different than the one I experienced on KLM.
  17. Taxis will take you straight underground, directly to the luggage drop-off. Ride-shares have to drop you at street level with a bit of a walk in front of you. Is Canada Place now accepting luggage in different drop-off areas? Curious to know.
  18. We’ve been in port with another HAL ship but never with another line. I’ve seen where itineraries have changed when two lines have it listed on the same day.
  19. We experienced the same thing in April. The sailaway party was packed and super fun!! It wasn’t a Day 2 departure, though. Same day; out of PEV.
  20. A bit of a pet peeve, but it is Vancouver Island. Victoria is the capital. Following along, although I admit to feeling like I am trying to understand a foreign language. 😂 Have a wonderful time!
  21. I see what you mean, but I was thinking along the lines of the longer voyages, away from the Caribbean runs. Princess stays there all year round, while HAL’s presence is more seasonal.
