  1. In addition to the above you can order off the MDR menu for room service. We love to order breakfast some days and also dessert in the evening just before they close.
  2. There's a Doubletree on Frontage Road in Newark NJ if you're cruising out of Cape Liberty.
  3. Try The Trip Insurance Store...Steve is a contributor here on CC often. He and his staff are just amazing finding you the perfect policy for your specific needs. 888 407-3854
  4. Agree...Way over rated and over priced. I for one liked the old location better.
  5. I believe they cannot be used between brands. I had an FCC with X and could not use it towards RCI cruise.
  6. No I didn't. Just turned them on but not sure where to look...help !! Maybe I just did ???
  7. Perhaps those seats showing an "X" are being held back for crew if needed when there's only one or two at the front ???
  8. We won't be sailing until October...so would love to hear your feedback. Hopefully this will all be under control before we sail.
  9. We enjoyed the Home2Suites..very nice newish hotel. Nice pool, rooms with kitchenette and a great breakfast.
  10. My main point was the suite categories...layout vs the other fleet design.
  11. Here in the US RCI will not discuss your booking if you are using a TA. Perhaps it's different for you in GB.
  12. I booked two of these S/S Family Suites (side by side) when the booking opened for a May 2024 family cruise. I'm not too impressed with the suites option/pricing on this ship. We'll see how it goes come May but if we weren't sailing with our adult kids and 4 grandkids I wouldn't have booked this cabin/ship. We love the GS and 2 bedroom GS on the Oasis class...a much better layout and option for us when they cruise with us.
  13. Looks like you got some great answers. Remember if you have any problem ask your cabin steward and if they can't help they'll call an onboard electrician. These days this is a common situation and the onboard staff is very helpful.
  14. No, these (Conair 1875) aren't at least the ones we've had recently weren't. They have three settings off, high and low...no holding the button down.
  15. Very disappointed with these itineraries. I was hoping for something from Singapore to Shanghai or the reverse. We've done this amazing itinerary that included Viet Nam etc before. These are Japan itineraries which we're not interested in. Is this it for China or will other itineraries be released?
  16. For us it's always been TravelPro Max lite 29". Our's have traveled the world with us many times and continue to.
  17. This is one of the reasons to book directly and own your booking...JMHO.
  18. We did an amazing roundtrip Western Med/Greece from Barcelona during the month of May. Great pre-cruise nights and a wonderful itinerary.
  19. It's always a mystery. Glad you're working out what works best for you. I got a great rate for my outbound flight (Feb 2024) from LAX-MIA several months ago. Now I need to book my return flight for March. I didn't book a roundtrip then because I was considering adding a Celebrity cruise onto my RCI cruise which I did.
  20. Thanks...I just wanted to mention this for the OP to consider the policy as it may apply.
  21. RCI has a list in your online account with all past cruises.
  22. Op if you have any problems connecting then either your steward will help or they'll call an onboard electrician. We've sailed on several RCI ships recently and had no problems being able to watch our Amazon Prime, Netflix etc etc. We take our HDMI cable, universal remote and our Amazon Firestick with us always so we'll be well prepared with whatever we'll need.
  23. Sorry this happened to you. You would have thought that the door would have been replaced or repaired before it was occupied again. We always pull our door completely closed every time as we leave. Our situation was apparently a staff member's fault and because of the hallway camera RCI knew who hadn't pulled it completely closed. Their response to us with an FCC was very nice as we certainly didn't expect anything and actually didn't make a big deal out of it but our steward certainly escalated it. I believe (in the end) it was a plumber that came in to repair the problem we had with the walk in shower in our OS.
  24. For a one night stay that late you might consider Hyatt Place. They have a shuttle from FLL to their hotel for $5.00 per room reservation. It's next to the Harbor Shopping center that has a Publix market, shops and restaurants...a favorite of ours is Duffy's. Use either Uber/Lyft or a shared shuttle (several companies available) from the hotel to POM but I would have a much earlier pickup than you posted.
