  1. I saw that too, just a little sooner than this one was started. I posted (what I posted here) to that thread, but when I hit Submit Reply, it was gone. Tom
  2. What dates are your two Mardi Gras sailings? We'll be onboard 2/25. Tom
  3. On Carnival, for the next several years, you're probably more likely to roll a hard_thirteen ! Tom
  4. They actually had plans to finally offer them in their new Excel suites. Then, a few weeks before the Mardi Gras first sailed, they (without notice/fanfare - lol) deleted that line from the amenities list of those cabins. For what reason, we'll never really know. So close, yet ... Tom
  5. Was this the only Spirit class ship to suffer such a fate? Where do the servers on the Miracle now have to go for drinks? Tom
  6. It was the opposite situation on Conquest (Christmas '21) , the buns were quite small (note the size of the bun next to the fork)! On the Liberty last week/weekend I ate there 3 days in a row. I enjoyed the burgers, though would have preferred a MDE from Big Chicken! Tom
  7. OK, just for clarification, I took it to mean the following (LINK), which is probably how most people take it: feeling that you have the right to do or have what you want without having to work for it or deserve it, just because of who you are Tom
  8. I ditched cable a few years ago (and my landline followed quickly thereafter) and now stream my news/entertainment (ROKU/YouTube.TV/etc...). It's in the best interest of Carnival to continue to beef up their WiFi speed/bandwidth, as they're making a lot more off of folks streaming their entertainment than what they'd be paying to deliver it to each cabin. I tried using my YouTube.TV app on our sailings last month, only to get locked out (as it detected I was "out of the country). Next time I'll go through my VPN first, and establish a server in the US. We'll see how that works. Tom
  9. So, just being in that line earns them the "entitled" label? Agreed, though, I would have navigated to the shorter line, as the red carpet at the entitled line is a little too plush for my blue blood, lol Tom
  10. I'm pretty sure the Liberty did. Flipping channels (away from the navigation channel) I came across a B&W flick, and promptly surfed on by. The next day, I came across what appeared to me to be the exact same movie - if only because it was B&W, lol. There are a couple of old movies I'd watch again if I came across 'em - Sgt. York, and a few others. Young Frankenstein (just kidding here, it's not "old" - but I'd probably watch it again too)! Tom
  11. After the Christmas cruise we just got off of (4-nt Liberty), we've pretty much decided not to cruise over Christmas again. We've done it twice now. We have one more Thanksgiving sailing booked, but that's probably it for turkey week too... Tom
  12. When I play (cruise specialty restaurant) "pin the tail on the donkey", my results differ. Tom
  13. It would be nice if the app had a Domino's like feature (of progress), if nothing else to give you hope and some kind of status update for room service orders. There's nothing more fun than placing an order and waiting over an hour (sometimes) with no idea when it will be there... a prisoner in your cabin ! Tom
  14. And a vast majority are just reels of Carnival promo stuff. I get that, there's just not much else. It's obvious they don't want you hanging out in your cabin. 🙂 Tom
  15. I'm just waiting to see them install pay-per-use coffee machines in the cabins... 😉 Tom
  16. Carnival used to offer network news options (at least 2-3 flavors).
  17. ... not pleased with the channel offerings on Carnival. Reminded of this over the long weekend on the Liberty. Compared to our Celebrity sailing last month (actual network news options). Tom
  18. I started reading ratings and reviews of various travel routers, and my head started to hurt! I'm assuming the one you mentioned pretty much handles everything one would need - and good user interface, easy to set up?
  19. Yep - that's what I have. I think the last Samsung I had was an S8+ (or such). I usually switch every other model, so I'll be looking at the Pixel 8 whenever it comes on the scene. Tom
  20. A travel router... Hmmm.. I've thought about setting up a mini network so that I can bring a Google Assistant and such!
  21. No issues doing that (just off this morning, and did this a few times). Tom
