You need to ask on Cunards board to be sure how that ship feels. They were built for transatlantic sailings so may be a smoother sail. That being said it all depends on the weather we did a transAtlantic during the “worst time of year” on the Allure and had smooth sailing the whole way.

Reading from other cruise line boards shortages are pretty common. I experienced it on Celebrity Edge in December. I don’t drink alcohol so can not comment on that but Diet Coke became scarce. There were other food shortages like fruit. Never saw a berry except a solitary one on dessert.

There is a real mess going on the Celebrity boards about people being cancelled on their Millennium Japan cruises. I would hop over there and read the posts. I have been on both Holland and Celebrity. I am like you that I don’t care about the production shows but like to listen to music. My recent Edge cruise was disappointing for their music offerings. I do like the non smoking policy on Celebrity but it must not bother me much as I have over 100 days scheduled on Holland in the next year (taking a grand voyage).

I have friends who had only cruised with me and have had the privilege of having access to my kit. When they cruised on their own last summer I made up a mini kit for them.

The POA has had trouble staffing the crew since the pandemic and has had to cancel rooms to decrease the number of passengers. I would do your research before booking.

I got my second booster yesterday. It is both FDA and CDC approved now. CVS wouldn’t give it because corporate hasn’t said to. I went down the road to Walgreens and they gave it no problem. No real problems just a little sore arm. I have two weeks until my next cruise and needed all the protection I can. I will still travel with Paxlovid and Tamiflu like I always do. I have a fairly complete medical kit I have traveled with for years. The physician in me is over prepared. A reminder that the free 8 COVID tests ends in May. I need to go get my last eight. I will bring several with me when I travel.

Jacqui I know how you feel when you have to do chores DH did. I realize I was a kept women for most of our marriage. The last year I slowly took over things so I may have transitioned a little easier. I am headed off to PT. They will do another evaluation to see if I need more. She claims I am an overachiever. Good morning, I am sorry that Jacqui will not be with me in a month when we visit Flam. It will be my first time there. My 5/6 cruise on NS will have all new ports for me(except embarkation in Barcelona). I am looking forward to that. I am slowly gathering things to get ready. I am normally a last minute packer. Any suggestions are welcome. I will pass on food and drink today. I am still mulling the quote over in my mind. The why was hard to see this past year but I found the how. I love my printer. I make fun things for the grand kids to color and play with. I use the copier and still scan the old fashion way. It’s funny how every once in a while my DS needs to use my printer!

My sons passport took 5 months and always showed in process. The status never changed. In hindsight he should have paid for expedited with 2 day return. He almost gave up.

Good morning, I have been to Bonaire once. We were so excited to snorkel but an earthquake in Venezuela made the water murky and unfit to snorkel. I hope to get back there again. All my taxes are done I need to check to see if my return is in the bank account. Next years tax return will be messy since I will be on the GA cruise to right before they are due. I most likely will file and extension so I won’t stress if something comes up at the end of the cruise. Unfortunately, the last year has been stress year. I am shooting for National unstressed month. My DF is not coping well. She is a bit of a hoarder, okay a hoarder and she has now brought most of her sons things to her house. She has absolutely no room in her house. She is trying to get me to go back and help her get more stuff. I told her it was to painful for me to do that. She has mobility issues and needs knee replacements so can’t do it on her own. I know the pain she is going through and everyone grieves in their own way. When I get back from my cruise I hope she will let me help organize his things for her. Prayers for those on the care list. Thanks for all your reply’s. I would not mind joining others and I feel at times especially breakfast I am ok alone. I booked this cruise to see how I like sailing alone before the Grand Australia cruise.

As it gets closer to my cruise on May 6th the more worried I get about dining alone. I have Club Orange and it is a smaller dining room. Will I look out of place? Will people look at me with pity? These are the things that go through my head.

Good morning all, My deepest condolences @Mr. Boston so sad for all who loved him. The wind finally died down and it looks like sun. We had a hail storm this weekend. It was the first for the grands so we quickly ran out and they had a blast until it started to come down harder. I will pass on the food and drink. I have not been to the port and I find myself having a blah blah blah day a lot. I am petrified of bats and rabies. I am starting to pull things together for my NS cruise. Many of the items I will use on the GA cruise in January. I have now lowered my expectations to 5lbs from the original 10lbs. We will see how that goes! Unfortunately hand sanitizer does not work on noro. You would need to go wash with soap and water before eating. That is why it is so easily spread.

Yikes, I have done specialty dining only one other time and that was on Celebrity edge and that too was a perk. I would say it was hit or miss. I hope my experience will be better but who knows. I am ok with trying as it was included in the perks. Thanks for taking us along. I appreciate the information.

Good early morning, Sleep has been evading me the past few nights. I snuck out of the bedroom but DGS found me. I have him sleeping on the sofa next to me. He has been with me since Friday which helps. My friend does not have much money and lives on social security and money she gets with part time work. I feel blessed to have money from DS sons estate and I have been using it to help others. I paid 3 months of her rent and gave her a food card. I know my son would approve. I hope it takes one burden off her shoulders. It is so windy here I had a hard time opening the door to let Molly out. Spring in Kansas! I am so happy everyone made it to FLL. I have three specialty dining options with my cruise in May on NS. I find specialty dining on the different cruise lines hit or miss. I booked the three and I will see if I like them. The one I am most worried about is Tamarind as I am shellfish allergic.
