  1. No, you will not get the Premier package for an existing Signature Collection suite booking. This is in the Sanctuary Collection FAQ What happens if I have already booked a Signature Collection suite (or any Sanctuary-eligible stateroom) on Sun or Star Princess? Guests who as of April 23rd, 2024, have already reserved staterooms in the Sanctuary Collection eligible section of either Sun or Star Princess will receive the additional benefits outlined at no additional cost, except the Princess Premier(R) package. If your current booking does not include Premier, you may upgrade to Premier to receive all these benefits.
  2. No, only these categories are in the Sanctuary Collection Category Name prior to October 14 2024 Sanctuary Collection Name Total Number of Staterooms S9 Signature Suite Signature Suite 30 S4 Penthouse Suite Vista Suite 36 S2 Owner’s Suite Grand Suite 10 S0 Sky Suite Sky Suite 4 M1 Reserve Collection Mini-Suite Sanctuary Mini-Suite 83 M2 Reserve Collection Mini-Suite Sanctuary Mini-Suite 40 D0 Premium Deluxe Balcony Sanctuary Balcony 12
  3. Yup! And the Princess press release does call out Premium Deluxe Balconies - we know the 12 are the aft ones only
  4. But the Sanctuary Balcony category is D0 which IS a Premium Deluxe Balcony - so you will get a large balcony and should get the loungers.
  5. Hi Steve, yes major changes with Reserve Collection disappearing, and suites having to share some of their perks with another 135 staterooms! Will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Wanted to thank you again for all your info from your live from - we had a brilliant time checking out the secret decks!
  6. Designated smoking areas are located at: Wake View Terrace, Deck 8 Aft Starboard Side Sun Bar, Deck 18 Forward Starboard Side Casino, Deck 8 Forward - only during opening hours while actively playing
  7. Yes, watched it live since it wasn't restricted to registered TAs in the end and nothing new. Here are some screen grabs.
  8. I love a table so just dropping this on the 215 staterooms that now form part of the Sanctuary Collection: Category Name prior to October 14 2024 Sanctuary Collection Name Total Number of Staterooms S9 Signature Suite Signature Suite 30 S4 Penthouse Suite Vista Suite 36 S2 Owner’s Suite Grand Suite 10 S0 Sky Suite Sky Suite 4 M1 Reserve Collection Mini-Suite Sanctuary Mini-Suite 83 M2 Reserve Collection Mini-Suite Sanctuary Mini-Suite 40 D0 Premium Deluxe Balcony Sanctuary Balcony 12 Note sure of the dining destination for everyone but the Signature Restaurant has a capacity of 124 and the Reserve Collection Restaurant can cater for 180 guests at a time.
  9. The deck plans after October 14 reflect the Sanctuary Club changes. Like the Sanctuary layout itself, the Penthouse Suites becoming Vista Suites, Owner's Suites becoming Grand Suites and the qualifying mini-suites and D0 premium deluxe balconies becoming Sanctuary Club. The Signature Lounge also becomes the Suite Lounge.
  10. The Sea View Terrace may have a few kids near the pool but no MUTS and lovely seating options - and it's complimentary
  11. The fitness center does include 2 showers each for women and men on Royal Class ships - here are pics from Sky Princess to give you an idea (one is accessible):
  12. There is that webinar event tomorrow organised on this subject by Carmen Roig of PrincessVPSales on FB - hopefully our TA members can report back on any details and Q&A responses that might help fill in some gaps.
  13. We feel pretty lucky to have booked an S9 with premier a week ago on one of the last European cruises this year and are quite relieved that we won't be subject to this change. Really wanted to experience the standard of service that @Sox Fan Cruiser had experienced and these changes would appear to dilute that.
  14. Glad you are happy with the upgrade. We were on this same cruise as Suite Natured and do know them to chat to. They are really fun, kind and down to earth.
  15. Yes, passengers in May and June this year have also received the upgrade email too. I am keen to know as we are booked before the Transatlantic in an S9 and the pricing hasn't changed yet.
  16. More details in another article: Its Alaska cruises will be bookable from 18 July 2024. ..... Attending the ceremony, Princess President John Padgett said Star Princess will ‘essentially be a twin to Sun Princess, ‘with a few tweaks’, adding: “It will be a slightly more refined Sun Princess.”
  17. Well unlike the Royal-class ships, the Sphere class funnels can apparently be lowered so they don't have to wait for low tide to depart from Vancouver.
  18. There was another announcement today amongst the Sun Princess christening excitement and Sanctuary Collection press release: Star Princess to sail to Alaska Also announced today was future plans for Star Princess, Princess’ second ship in its sphere class which recently has her first sailing delayed from 29 July 2025 to 26 September 2025. Veering away from the news of delays however was Vicki Johnson, the head of communications at Princess Cruises, who unveiled the news that Star Princess will sail to Alaska in 2026 after a debut summer in the Mediterranean and a season in the Caribbean.
  19. Dang, how confusing! Was hoping we could experience the suite experience before these changes kicked in.
  20. So from the FAQ, it seems the first Sun Princess voyage to be impacted by these changes will be the first US inaugural on 14th October? So the remaining European cruises and the Transatlantic this year will follow the current rules?
  21. I believe if you already have a booking in these staterooms then you should get everything added automatically except the Premier upgrade - "Guests who have booked as of April 23, 2024 already have reserved Sanctuary Collection staterooms on either ship will receive the additional amenities outlined at no additional cost, excluding the premier bundle".
  22. Waiting to hear some more details but the headline appears to be Princess announcing its first 'ship within a ship' concept - three levels of Sanctuary Collection suites with exclusive access to the top-deck retreat area, as well as private dining and relaxation areas.
  23. Here's the bottle for the Christening ceremony: And it appears a number of Elite guests got invited to the ceremony in the Arena:
