  3. Thanks for your review. I’ll be boarding in October and I’m looking forward to it.
  4. There are Aqua Sky Suites on the Equinox now. Here’s the deck plan (Deck 12) showing their location.
  5. Nothing is different. Lain is not his name, it’s Iain, more commonly spelled Ian. You beat me to it Gracie!
  6. I just wanted to point out that its Jim’s partner is spelled I-a-i-n, not L-a-i-n. No big deal, as you can see that Jim doesn’t bother correcting it He’s seen it before and just rolls with it. I just thought you’d like to know.
  7. No, you bent that up pretty good.
  8. My question about the process is since this is a third party website that sifts through our bids, do they really know our Captain’s Club level and the appropriate multiplier and take that information into account? I bid for the first time on an upcoming cruise, but I’m okay with my chosen cabin, too.
  9. You will need to go up to the glassblowing studio to make your reservation. They schedule the demo right on top of sailaway, so we didn’t attend that. We went up the following day to choose our time slots. No need to rush or get in a line to sign up right away. You work alongside the glass artist, and won’t be allowed to make a piece on your own. They want you to be successful! If you’re unsure, just have a seat and watch as others create their pieces to get an idea of participation levels.
  10. Beefeater gin, Aperol, Cointreau, simple syrup, lime juice, and pineapple juice. You’ll see it on the Ensemble menu on the ship and in the app. I love the Ensemble Lounge, too.
  11. I’m a fan of The Last Voyage from the Ensemble Lounge on S-Class ships.
  12. I’m looking forward to seeing some photos of the new menu items, as well as any comments or reviews (Would you order it again?).
  13. I’m a Michigander who has lived at “the tip of the mitt” for 30 years. We don’t always visit the more touristy spots that are in our own backyard, but I’ve been to Mackinac Island many times over the years. I know you and Iain love to walk, and that’ll most likely be your plan when you get there. I’ll point out a few places you might want to make a point of seeing as you wander. Maps and more info can be found at mackinacisland.org - Fort Street runs alongside Fort Mackinac to the interior of the island. A highlight at the fort is that they shoot a canon off several times a day. Even if you don’t choose to buy admission to the fort, you may still take note of that happening. - The Governor’s summer mansion is to the left at the top of Fort St. The views are to die for. - There’s a tiny cave called Skull Cave that people like to visit. It’s not very impressive as caves go, but the second graders who visit for their end of the year class trip get a big kick out of the fact that bones were found inside, and it’s a sort of pilgrimage to visit every time you’re on the island. - There are 3 cemeteries on the island, all along Garrison Rd. It’s a beautiful scenic area, and we always liked to wander through them. - I know you’ll want to seek out the Somewhere in Time Pavilion! I understand that it can be an adventure to find it, but it’s on the other side of Fort Mackinac. - St. Anne’s Catholic Church is nice, and there’s also a charming little church (aptly called Little Stone Church) on the road leading up to the Grand Hotel. - Yes, there are carriage rides available, but there’s also a riding stable for the adventurous. The riding stable that I know of is on Market Street (it runs parallel to the Main Street where the docks are located). - Arch Rock is a must see. I’ve admired your photography skills and look forward to seeing Mackinac Island through your lens!
  14. Your font is extremely difficult to read. Try using the app to check out your ship’s current sailing to see which movies are showing right now. No guarantee they’ll be showing when you sail, though.
  15. No. My cruise needs have changed over the years. As a widow, I book different cabin categories based on who I’m traveling with and their comfort level with prices etc. Plus, needs change as we reach higher Captain’s Club levels. I like to be informed about everything that’s happening on board all the ships.
  16. Shouldn’t the current cruise menu be up to date in the app?
  17. Is there currently a charge for the Sea Bass or Ribeye Steak? Or perhaps even though the app shows those items, in reality they’re only available in the upper suites?
  18. My next cruise will be on the Equinox. Day 6 of the current sailing is a sea day and there’s no lunch menu. I don’t really know what to think. Embarkation day snd day 2 (a sea day) do have lunch menus showing.
  19. I’ll tell you right now, a cafeteria style scoop of mashed potato does nothing for me.
  20. Am I mistaken in seeing a beverage that had popcorn as an ingredient? I always wondered if they truly had popcorn available. Not curious enough to order that particular drink I guess.
  21. And as illustrated in the video, they can have major obstructions.
  22. But it is used for asking questions despite the guidelines.
