  1. Sounds like all of the Celebrity beef is being shipped over to Royal!!
  2. They are new and have 2 ships with 2 more on order, they are more of a yacht type cruise line. Their ships hold 200 passengers.
  3. The OP said in an earlier post she booked with a German website. I would assume they have different rules than booking from the US.
  4. Some cruise lines like Viking Ocean and River require final payment 12 months or more in advance, so 75 days is not bad in comparison. With celebrity most of our cruises are over 10 days, so we have final payment in USA for 90 days out.
  5. I am getting mailings from them, I just looked at their website and here is a 10 day Greek cruise and this line is all included, not bad pricing at all. If you cruise solo check out the solo priceing.
  6. The OVC and mast grill will be your only free embarkation day lunch choices. Check the Celebrity app to see if Sushi on 5 is open, my app shows it is on our June Equinox cruise.
  7. Blu is not open for lunch any day, has nothing to do with wolves.😁
  8. What ship are you on? On E Class ships Le Grande Bistro is open from noon to 2pm for $20pp. The OVC, Mast Grill and Spa Cafe are your other choices for lunch. All other non-E Class ships your choice for lunch is OVC and Mast Grill on embarkation day. Sushi on 5 may be open but is not free.
  9. We took a similar cold and flu kit last year on the Reflection in our checked luggage and had no problems.
  10. I believe you cannot check in until final payment is received. In 2021 Celebrity canceled our Infinity cruise 60 days before it was to depart in August. We had made final payment and decided to replace that cruise with another on Equinox and use the 125% FCC (Future Cruise Credit) from the canceled cruise to pay for the new one. The Equinox cruise departed Aug 27th and the FCC was not credited until August 5th. At that time it took Celebrity about 45 days to process FCC's. We could not check in until the FCC was credited on Aug 5th even though Celebrity knew the FCC would be forthcoming. There is really no advantage with checking in early so just wait until you make final payment then check in.
  11. I would do both in a B2B and spend a few extra days in Rome pre or post cruise. Last year we did a 10 day cruise on the Reflection from Rome we love cruising anywhere in the Med. On that cruise we were supposed to do La Spezia but two weeks before we got moved to Livorno because of lack of docking space in La Spezia. In September we are on the Apex from Amsterdam to Athens.
  12. We had a Sunset Sky Suite on deck 12 of the Equinox in August 2021 and yes, we got all the Retreat suite amenities including a butler, Luminae, the Retreat Lounge and Retreat sundeck on Revolutionized and all E class ships. The only exceptions I know are if you move up to a suite from a non-suite on a move up bid, in those cases you only get the amenities you had in your originally cabin.
  13. We canceled a Viking Ocean cruise for August this year when they wanted payment of $15k last August, they offered to give us until Nov last year to pay and I said no thanks.
  14. They are of no use when they are invisible for the entire cruise.
  15. And she is the only S class ship to be fully Revolutionized.
  16. You should read the many posts in the Celebrity forum, a lot of very upset over all the cutback changes Celebrity instigated this month. They are taking the concept of nickel and diming to a whole new level. From charging $9.95 + 18% gratuity for all room service except suites, raising specialty restaurants 20% or more and adding 18% gratuities when booked to cutting back on the buffets and MDR menus, Celebrity is driving many to look elsewhere. I am not the only long-time loyal Celebrity customer talking about jumping ship.
  17. Sounds good, I will have to try it if available.
  18. Yes I figured as much, who would want soured Salmon?
  19. Three things possible here: The Dawn passenger is lying-----doubtful, no reason too NCL is breaking the law-----doubtful, why would they break the law Celebrity is lying so they can cut back on drink package drinks----more likely.
  20. Being new to Oceania, I can appreciate your comments. Running out of Salmon is no big deal when it is replaced by Mahi Mahi and not Tilapia. I booked on Oceania because of the down grading of food on Celebrity. Too much Tilapia is now part of their cuisine in their dining rooms along with outrageous new pricing for Specialty restaurants.
  21. I believe this is the new policy that became effective on Edge Class ships departing starting this month (January). I read that passengers who booked traditional seatings before the change are being changed to Select when they board.
  22. What is Brill? At least it wasn't Tilapia which is becoming a mainline fish in Celebrity MDR's.
  23. Between your Dec 2021 and our August 2022 cruise, the Reflection's Luminae must have changed and was a totally different experience. It was nothing like our 2021 Equinox experience either. I can't say who the Reflection Luminae sommelier was since we never got to meet him/her.
  24. We got the same service from the Luminae sommelier on the Equinox in 2021 for the wines by the glass with the PDP and were surprised by some very good non-menu wines offered to us. However, on the Reflection last year, I asked the first night for the Luminae sommelier and was told he was only available if we wanted to order wines by the bottle. We could only order wines by the glass that were on the Luminae menu.
  25. Many like me are now beginning to look at more premium lines like Oceania and Viking, who would never have done so if Celebrity was not making so many cutbacks and raising costs more than 20% for future cruises in suites. For example, we booked early last year the Edge in a Sky Suite for 2024 New Zealand cruise. Today the same cruise and cabin is $2000pp more in cost than what we booked, and an Aqua Class cabin today is about what we paid for our SS. When we started looking at Sky Suites for 2025, I was shocked at the new pricing, which finally drove us to look at Oceania. I would also consider Viking Ocean, but I have two issues, their itineraries are not very exciting, and they want full payment 12 months or more from departure. No way I would give any cruise line $15k or more that far in advance.
