  1. I've never heard of a clothing optional beach on Grand Turk and we drove all over the place before. When I google, I see one listed on google for Turks & Caicos, but it's not located in Grand Turk. Did it say which beach or the area?
  2. We did the buggies with Pro Excursions and had the time of our life. I'm not sure if you're going to the same places or not. We drove all over the place down roads and then trails with animals and there was a lot of mud and puddles and that's where the fun began. They told us to wear something we didn't mind getting muddy. Then we went to the Chavon River and had lunch and drinks and it was so yummy. They took us to a little town and then back to the trails. We stopped to taste real sugar cane. They had their own photographer that took pictures of us along the way plus we took our own cameras as well. By the time we returned to their location we were covered in mud and could rinse off. (Of course you can chose to take it easy when going through the mud puddles and won't get as muddy). However, the one thing I noticed was our clothes didn't really come clean from all the mud. I started with a white shirt that is now permanently brown. LOL So, if it's the same tour, I would suggest wearing anything you don't care if it gets muddy or stained. HERE's my review of our time there with tons of pictures if you are interested.
  3. As leg said, if you want to snorkel you'll probably have to catch a cab and go someplace. We really liked Sky Reef. It was a "different" type of snorkeling for us and it is LOADED with beautiful different colored sea fans. It was simply amazing. You can check out my review HERE with tons of pictures if you are interested.
  4. I can't remember an ATV but I can with the buggies. We used Wildtours and had the time of our life. It was so much fun and I highly recommend the tour. I have a full review on my blog if you are interested it's located HERE
  5. That's sad to hear. I hope it's not for long. We had an amazing time there! If you can get an excursion to Rendezvous Caye, it's about the same...remote island, beautiful, snorkeling.
  6. We've done the cave tubing twice now with .bz and had a wonderful time. I have a blog with our experience from start to finish if you are interested. Our first time HERE and second time HERE.
  7. I don't know if you've left yet (since it's August) but if you want to do snuba...DePalm is the place. IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The reef is awesome. Better than you'll get snorkeling from the beach at places like Boca Catalina to Arashi. You can find my blog and tons of pictures HERE on the day we did snuba there.
  8. You would have to catch a cab to get to the snorkeling area. Boca Catalina is a great place to snorkel (between Boca and Arashi). It's our go to place for snorkeling when on the island. (There's also Mangel Halto but it's a lot further in the opposite direction). I have tons of reviews on my blog with pictures if you're interested in seeing what it looks like there and our snorkeling. HERE is the page with beaches.
  9. Arashi is beautiful and we always head to Arashi several times when vacationing in Aruba and by cruise (we've taken the bus back as well during a cruise day). The snorkeling is good if you go to the left (while facing the beach). You can find some of the reviews I've done of the beaches HERE if interested in seeing pictures of it.
  10. We didn't do the sunset cruise but oh my gosh we had the most amazing time on the day cruise with Jolly Pirates. It ended up being my daughters favorite day during our almost 2 week vacation there last time. Now, she has me looking for Pirate ship excursions everywhere we go in the Caribbean. The staff was amazing and a lot of fun. (I have to say also the next day we were snorkeling in the area they take snorkelers and we got ourselves in a bit of trouble and needed help. They took their dungy off the ship and came and rescued us...that shows how great they are!). Every time we go to Aruba again, we will do this tour again! If you're interested in reading my review/blog with pictures of our trip with them you can find it HERE (you'll find the beginning of it down a little ways down that page).
  11. We've been to the Donkey Sanctuary, the Butterfly farm, Ostrich Farm and Philips Animal Garden (zoo). We absolutely love Philips and have been there 3 times. (My daughter loves the birds and most of all the howler monkey that talks to us each time). If anyone wants to read my reviews of all the place, you can go to my website/blog and see the places and our experience. There's tons of pictures included. HERE
  12. Hi Robin! Good to hear from you again. We are doing good and just having a great time with our land vacations. I love being able to stay and explore all over without time constraints but do miss cruising as well. I have always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise but have never been able to talk myself (or family) into it because...well...we just hate the cold to begin with. LOL Some day I'll give it a shot. Not sure if you read my website blog...we are still diving with some good (mostly) experiences and one bad. We are headed off to another adventure in 2 weeks and cannot wait. 🙂 Happy Travels to you my friend!
  13. We did the one at Jeanies. I always love the SeaTrek experience no matter where it's at. As far as not getting admission to Chankanaab afterwards, it should come with it. Unless, like leg said it's because you are on a ship excursion. When we were there (land vacation) it definitely came with the admission to Chankanaab because I called to ask. The only reason we didn't do SeaTrek there is because we had planned on doing the snuba there instead. Also, if you look online for vendors to book the SeaTrek, it also states comes with admission to Chankanaab or you can book directly with Chankanaab as well.
  14. We have been doing land vacations only since COVID hit. Have you read those reviews? We have visited places we've been to on cruises (Cozumel, St Thomas, Aruba) and a few land based in US (Disney and Vegas <---our first time). 😄
  15. Not sure if you found my blog or not, but here's the direct link to just the Skyreef portion with pictures. CLICK ME We enjoyed our time there and would definitely go back for sure. But, I'm a big snorkeler so those beautiful sea fans were a draw for me. 😁
  16. Oh, I forgot to add the link to Cozumel .... CLICK HERE
  17. I have been all over Cozumel for years (since 2010) and have been to most of the beaches, either for the beach and hanging out and swimming or for the snorkeling. You are welcome to take a look at my blog under the Cozumel section (must be viewed by computer...phone does not show all the places) and see if anything interests you and I could answer any questions if you had any about a certain location (at least my experience there..ymmv). I have also done several tours...either by boat to El Ceilo, by jeep along the east side (and on our own when staying on the island) and also the buggies to the cenotes (lot's of fun!). As for Pueblo Del Maiz...this is the first time I'm hearing about this place as well. Do tell Leg.... ??
  18. No problem. We had a good time and would definitely do it again when we go back.
  19. Oh whoops. I just typed in Canada and that was the first one that popped up. hehe
  20. Thank you and we are good. I hope you are doing good as well my friend. 🙂 Haha, yea but it was late at night and there wasn't much we could do. We did get some money back...but not how I had planned on spending my first night there after traveling...especially after taking a fall. 😞
  21. You're welcome and I hope you enjoy the review. They had the beach bar open that's in the little hut along the stairs/deck walkway. You can also order from the beach and they'll bring it to you.
  22. Thank so much Blue. I appreciate it.
  23. Thanks Blue! I checked out Canadian Transfers and got an idea on price. I tried Reliable Cancun but their drop down list doesn't show an option from airport to the ferry so I'm not sure what's going on there. I assume you meant that you would NOT take the furthest from CUN ferry? Is Ultramar the easiest and closest? Do you have any suggestions on things to do there?
  24. Thanks so much for the info.
  25. Land vacations have definitely given us a different perspective on the islands and we love not being on a time frame to get back to the ship and going at our own pace. But, we are definitely missing our cruising days and hopefully will get back to it soon. I still have that quirky laughable reviews in our land vacations with hundreds of pictures of course. Our little mermaid has grown up and into the teenage years. Hopefully, if you read the recent reviews, you'll get a kick out of our adventures. 🙂
