  1. I was shocked at the prices a couple of seasons ago. I can imagine it is way up there now. But yes, best crab legs I've ever had. Not dripping wet and not too salty. I heard too, that the season is winter..(watching the Deadliest Catch). So the crab is really frozen, not fresh. https://kingcrabshack.com/pages/menu
  2. Super great review of this cabin. So glad you are now retired and can get in all of your cruising voyages.
  3. I "used to" travel with multiple week pill containers. No more (took up too much room). I carry one and the rest of the pills are in zip lock bags. You will need to check with the country you are travel to. They will have very specific directions for prescription medications. Some require labeling. Some require "pre-approval".
  4. You did it on the Caribbean Princess with tug boats. Not the same if you are on a Panamax ship using the mules. Everyone has their own preferences for entertainment. Yes I was bored on the Caribbean Princess but fascinated on the Coral Princess.
  5. Now they have the other “new” game where you can buy a case. Deal or No Deal. All specialty restaurants have an up charge. New desserts have a charge. But I am sure you are just asking about activities.
  6. Paradise Cove is a good luau, but…if there is an accident, you will be stuck. Other luau options: Hale Koa (military) Hilton Hawaiian Village (might only be Fridays) Luau on Kauai (Smith’s ?) Polynesian Cultural Center excursion
  7. These are both Grand Class ships. I would just do the partial if you are looking at cruising on either of these two ships.
  8. A full transit on a Panamax ship is the only way to do the canal. It is more expensive, but it will be a cruise to remember. if you do it on the Coral Princes….best ship. If you do it on the Island (sister ship), it will be more crowded. if you do it on any other ship, then you might as well do a partial. I have done both and found the partial to be not very exciting.
  9. Several weeks out, many categories sold out, losing hope for bid upgrade. But…..my bid hasn’t been rejected yet. Seems strange that they would not take me out of my misery and stress. Not surprised. Rarely win the lottery, door prizes, raffles, etc…..
  10. Free carts might be available inside international terminal (not outside). I think Delta is now at Terminal 2. The drive through is a mess. It may take up to 45 minutes from start to finish. Glad you decided to leave your flight as is. Get to the airport and enjoy the wait rather than stress.
  11. Reserved seats are not for Suite folk..only those with Premier Beverage packages…and only for production shows. I have heard that sky suite passengers can reserve seats. Bookmarking is another one of those marketing, useless, functions of the app. Does nothing…zero help to the passenger.
  12. Princess will not take the time to “Print to fit”. They rejected both documents/times informing me that they could not see the information on one page. Go figure. Worked when it opened as pdf one page. Only relaying my experience.
  13. Fill it out, save as a pdf AND send as an attachment with an email. If not, it prints out on two pages and Princess won’t accept it.
  14. I was on the Diamond Princess and very much enjoyed “Encore”. The cast did a magnificent job….but what happened to the “guest soprano” that would also do a solo performance? I was looking forward to seeing Secret Silk. First show had technical difficulties and was never presented on another evening. That’s only half the story….short version, I had to find out on my own and told about 50 other passengers that were going in … that hadn’t heard.
  15. Honolulu City Lights and Diamond Head are in the Starboard side of the ship.
  16. This may come too late to help. When did you book this cruise? Is it too late to turn it over to a Travel Agent? I am not a travel agent. You have until July to make some decisions. Who is passenger 1 on your daughters’ booking? Since your mom isn’t sure….book yourself with your daughters. Book your mom as a solo. When it comes to final payment, add your name to your mom’s booking. Move one of your daughters to your mom’s booking. That way, you will have an adult in each room. Unfortunately, that will play havoc with you trying to get a pan adult beverage package. Make sure the bookings are tied together…next to each other…and marked no upgrade. Or get connecting rooms. Lots to digest. Others will chime in.
  17. Those two events actually occurred for certain cruise lines. Princess had Bon Voyage guests…don’t know about streamers….the Lurline had them. And I was just a visiting guest onboard a Princess ship that ported for the day.
  18. I understood that you would be notified if rejected. I love window suites and wouldn’t bother (except for maybe owner’s suite). See if you could bid again.
  19. Just an rhetorical thought since I have not been on a Royal Class ship. Why did Princess do away with Ocean View rooms? Are obstructed balcony cabins more expensive than what an Ocean View would have cost? And here I sit with envy as everyone seems to be getting their bid accepted (at minimum). Mine is still "pending" with less than a month away. Inside to Balcony bid.
  20. @EDDY0827. I have to agree with you. I eat most seafood...cooked or sashimi but Salmon is not on my list.
  21. Burgers in Alaska? Maybe reindeer burgers...but it's all about the seafood.
  22. I think it ran every 30 minutes or so. We missed a bus and had to wait about 10-15 minutes (when we were entertained by the volunteer). There is a trolley that will also take you to town, when it is working. It didn't go all the way when we were there last September. Great town to walk around. No Diamonds Internationals....Get an early start. I think the last shuttle is around 3:30. We saw lots of taxis show up after dark.
  23. The Shuttle is operated by the Visitor's Volunteer Group. It is a round trip loop that drops you off/picks you up at either a town location or the Maritime Museum. There was a very knowledgeable volunteer on our bus to town. He spouted lots of history and pointed out interesting things along the way.
  24. Check with the airline you purchased through EZ Air. Depending on domestic or foreign. Canada is considered "domestic" North America. Some airlines charge, or allow one free, or if lucky, two (rare). Could be as low as $30 or as high as $100. Foreign carriers are a little stricter with carry on size. Some not. Best to check with assigned carrier.
