Thanks for providing an avenue for everyone to share their greetings.
Mele Kalikimaka and Hau’oli Makahiki Hou to all my old and new friends. Literally wishing you all a warm Christmas.
The answer is no…you cannot get a free cup of brewed coffee or tea from the international cafe in the Piazza, deck 5 without have a beverage package. Sometimes, the barista won’t take the time to check, but the policy is no free brewed coffee or tea.
The charge is minimal…something around $2.00.
I was told that onboard account and Princess land base were separate entities. I hope you have documentation that it was paid (travel summary/credit account, etc). Or go to your cc statement.
I also pre-paid and it shows zero balance. Im not on my computer so unable to do the steps to show sample.
There are two poster, that I know of, that have “violated” the PVSA. Wish they would chime in with real world experience.
Passenger #1 chose to leave a Hawaii cruise mid-voyage, was fined, and paid fine.
Passenger #2 missed embarkation in San Pedro, was flown to Hawaii, and did not personally pay fine.
I’ve hosted a few and attended a few. Correct, 7 days or less is a waste of energy. But longer cruises can be very beneficial. Who is hosting is important. I do ice breakers, name tags, trivia and prizes. I even bring cookies.
I know of a couple great hosts.
Yes, that is correct. The question needs to be….where will you connect? There are trains that take you from terminal to terminal. Hopefully, you will be close to your next gate and there are no delays. Recently, my flight into SEA was about 50 minutes late.
It's a good thing you are watching your flight information. SEA is huge. Are you flying to Vancouver on Alaska Air or do you have to change terminals?
Good Luck. Smart to check alternatives. Shouldn't have weather related delays in the summer.
I think a few extra warm peanut butter cookies during a 25 day voyage is worth the extra kindness I offered to the guy behind the IC counter. After a few days, I didn't even have to ask. "How many" was his greeting.
Tipping/Gifting is always appreciated. What they do with your kindness is totally up to them. If they trash it, so be it. If they barter it, so much more power to them. If they like it/enjoy it, then I am delighted.
If only the world was a gentler and kinder place...we would all benefit.
No cons…just a wonderful airport.
If you must go there (cons):
no Princess transfers, but much easier to get an UBER ride.
no 250,000 passengers like LAX this holiday season.
no porters, yet
TSA is a breeze
Well so much for having the number entered. Recently checked in with x airline. Thought I had pre-check. Get up to officer. No ma’am….move over to the other line. Take off shoes, blah, blah, blah…I even checked. Moral of story, don’t walk away from ticket counter without first checking your boarding pass for those magic TSA precheck printed.
I don’t know if there is a difference in Club Class Dining, but as recently as October, I was able to order it with the missing cheese basket. I could add chicken or shrimp too. This was on the Grand Princess.
@ceilidh1
1. How do you compare Saltgrass to a Crown Grill dinner…now up to $39 pp?
2. Was that fried chicken for dinner? Have never tried ordering fried chicken.
3. Welcome to Texas. I appreciate your review. This won’t be one of my bucket list ports.
4. How did you score a towel animal on the first night?
@cruisingrob21 The casino will not be open until you leave Victoria. The 8am would have been perfect. Someone else was complaining about Air Canada dropping flights. Good luck.
Taxi from airport to cruise terminal is set fare (around 40 CD). Unfortunately, you will have to do immigration twice….coming in/leaving at the port. Hope there is only one ship (Royal) in port. It will be a nightmare if there are three.
I love Vancouver and enjoyed a couple of days at the Pan Pacific.
