As for the canapes...we enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries most evenings. We tried a couple options as well and enjoyed most of them. Our butler was wonderful. Stopped in about twice a day to see if we needed anything. He got us several restaurant reservations as well.

You can bring a much alcohol on board as you want. Just to be used in your room or pay a $25 corkage fee to have it in the restaurants.
-
Don't know about the small ships, but the Riviera has a magnifying mirror on the desk.
-
They say six bottles, but in reality you can bring as much wine as you want on board. They don't check at all. Yes, you can bring more on at each port as well. The wine is to drink in your cabin. If you want to bring it to a restaurant there is a $25 corkage fee.

We also tipped our Butler $100 for a ten day cruise, but gave our cabin attendant $150 since they worked a lot harder than the butler.

I wouldn't call the pools very shallow. Yes, too shallow for diving, but I am 5'10" tall and could not stand in the Riviera pool.

We tipped out butler and housekeeping staff on top of the $23 per day gratuities.

Effect of Simply More on Sales & Sale Prices: Will be critical to us

That would be wonderful, but I won't hold my breath. -
Will a confiscated item be returned end of cruise?

You can bring a flat iron for your hair with no problem. It is a regular clothes iron that is prohibited. My flat iron was out the entire cruise and was not confiscated. -
No, the lounge is not at all noisy. It is a quiet place to pick up some sodas, snacks, etc. You might hear the door opening and closing.

Penthouse suites with extended balconies have two chairs AND two lounge chairs on the balcony.

WOW! That is so different, in fact opposite of our experience. We went to the desk to try for extra specialty restaurant reservations and could not get them, but our butler got them for us with no problem. I hope you let Oceania know about your experience. As I said before, our butler checked in with us about twice a day, but if we wanted anything in between visits, we just called him and he responded with our requests.
-
We did not ask our butler to unpack our bags. He checked with us about twice a day to see if there was anything we wanted. He made sure we had what we requested in our fridge. He made us extra specialty restaurant reservations, brought us canapes, offered to bring us meals from the restaurants, brought us an Ipad and set up the internet connection, etc. He also took the wine we brought on board to the restaurant we would be visiting that evening. They will do what you request within reason.

I thought that to be true, but when I waited until I was onboard to request a wedge pillow, there were none to be found. Better to request in advance to be sure.
-
Email a picture of the pillow to Guest Services well in advance of your cruise so they can try to get one for you.

Have your TA contact Oceania. It seems those in PH and above got loungers for their extended balconies.

We didn't ask much of our butler, but he checked in with us about twice each day to see if we needed anything. I loved ordering the canapes he brought each day. He also got us three extra reservations in the specialty restaurants. He brought us an Ipad and set up the wifi. He delivered the wine we brought on board to whatever restaurant we were visiting that night. He made sure we had the soft drinks we wanted in our fridge. We never had a butler before, but it was a very nice experience.

The difference in the 3 types of Penthouse is location. The rooms are the same.
-
On the Riviera there is a lot of seating around the pool and especially on the sun deck 14. There is not a lot of outdoor seating in the shade however.
-
There is no charge if you are in concierge level or above. However, the T pool is outside. There is no indoor pool.

Thank you for taking the time to share all of this wonderful information. -
We had a first timers party on our cruise on Riviera in March.

That's too bad. I LOVED the walk in closet on the Riviera.

We were able to get an extra specialty reservation by going to the desk on deck 5 as soon as our room was ready. We got more extra reservations with the help of our butler. However, SSFrance69 is correct about checking directly with the maître d' for extra reservations.
