If you are looking at the cost of February 2025 sailings now, yes they are high as lower end sells out fast for that time of year. Even IV and others are high if ship is not sold out. We booked Ascent for February 2026 in February 2024 while onboard. Decided to go with low end suite after sailing in Beyond suite this past February. Had originally booked SV as no IV for me in the Caribbean again. Would be hard pressed to pay the same suite price on an S class. Really liked the retreat area with the pool.
A bit off the topic but as only my 2nd princess booking, what are perks for suites? I am familiar with Celebrity and suites come with premium drinks and Wi-Fi. Was told have to purchase those above cost of suite. Other than large cabin, what are the great things about suites on older Princess ships such as Emerals and Majestic?
Thanks for posting. We board in February for 14 days. It will be our 2nd princess sailing. Last was on Emerald Princess about 10 years ago. Been on many other cruises. We will be in a Mini Suite this time. We welcome any other tips regarding the ship.
Just went into chat an upgraded to Premier from Plus. Charged me the $20 difference and did not say anything about the changes coming. Only my 2nd Princess sailing
I check in, select the latest boarding time and add cc info if requested. Do not need anything else. If changing cabins, I print out the luggage tags so bags get forwarded properly - but probably don’t need to. These are two separate sailings so info does not get added into second leg.
We did B2B in US on Beyond. IV to Suite. We were to be notified of where to meet but was not done due to poor room steward. We were found in the Club awaiting departure and rentry to ship as required. Took us to B2B suite waiting area to start enjoying retreat life.
After the SV you may be disappointed. Have sailed in both and in a suite on edge class. No more IV for me. The “veranda” space on the IV is so small and the bifold door cuts into the space when not in use. The SV was great with the extra space where the IV space would be.
I book my trips with a credit card that covers travel issues. This does not cover medical so have a paid annual policy for that. Did have to make a claim when had to cancel a week prior to sailing. Recovered all funds.
Some have had success transferring the cruise to a new date/ship with $100 pp fee if that would work for you. Could go on a later date and won’t lose the total amount. Of course one of those in the cabin would have to sail on the changed date.
