No you are totally wrong. The food available in MDR is a poor reflection on what was available when we started cruising on P&O in 2000. Then there was not the availability or choice of speciality restaurants as there is now. The main reason of popularity of speciality restaurants now is because people like the choice and some are prepared to pay extra for better quality food than you get in MDR. With your reference of now being a better time to travel with P&O I don't think prices in 2023 will be the norm in the future. Prices on Aurora/Arcadia are not particularly cheap and not good value as they are similar to Cunard's QV who are far superior. P&O are struggling to fill Iona because of its repeated 7nt cruises to Norway and that is why there are cheap 7nt Saver prices but they don't suit everyone.

The best speciality restaurant I have been lucky enough to eat in on numerous occasions on P&O was XV11 on Azura, Excellent service, meal and lovely restaurant.

When P&O used to serve vegetables individually from serving dishes it wasnt true Silver Service in the real meaning just a poor imitation. I for one was happy to see it go as if you share a table which we liked to share on table of 6/8 if you were served first and by the time they had served 8 and then the same with potatoes by the time you starte3d your meal it was cold or at best lukewarm. Also whenever we had a curry for main course they always used to ask if you would like vegetables, sorry but cabbage and green beans dont go very well with curry. Much prefer the plated meals set up.

You have to inform the cruise company of your shareholding. They state at least 4weeks before cruise but has been stated by some they applied later and was granted.

We have made the mistake of booking an aft balcony cabin on Arvia. Just in the process of changing it because of splashing water on decks below.

The auto gratuities of at least $14-50pppd automatically added to your onboard account is IMO sufficient and with the extra 15% added to all drinks on top as well.

I have a share certificate for my shares through Equiniti and have not heard of anything about them being part of a takeover or ever been charged for share holding.

Equiniti supply you with a share certificate at a cost and are the ones associated with Carnival so makes it easier to claim shareholder benefit.

Correct but how many actually declare it and many forget it is not actual for single item. If your total spend is over the allowance then you are suppose to go through red channel but don't think many actually do.

I am afraid it is the norm as all other ships and no great difference from the expensive watches, Hannah's and jewellery. In fact the shops seemed to be empty most of the time except for the last day when it was on obvious people were getting rid off OBC.

You won't be able to access P&O website and wi-fi until you get to the terminal and is very hot or miss of you get a signal. You won't be able to access P&O MyHoliday website until you get to the port.

The same number that is on your cabin key is also on your boarding pass that you print off and take with you to show at check in.

We had no issues at all with regards to standards or cleanliness in our cabin on Iona in March.

I would make sure because if that is correct info then they have recently changed their policy. If you had a scooter you had to book an accessible cabin. Hope the person you spoke to wasn't giving you wrong info because they are good at being inconsistent with correct answers.

They won't let you take a scooter in a standard cabin you have to book an accessible cabin. Did you tell P&O you had a scooter.

Always remember advice given to me by an official in my bank when I was worried about scam charges. His advice was never buy anything off the internet with a debit car always use a credit card. He said get a credit card if you dont have one just for this purpose because of the protection wioth credit card and are safer.

We were on Spain/Portugal cruise 4th March for 14nts and was sailing full or very close to it.
