  1. We booked earlier today for 4th March and with Peninsular Club discount paid £21.60pp for Epicurean and £9pp for Sindhu. Not interested in Chefs Table or Limelight Club but disappointed we couldn't book Beach House and for a time in MDR.
  2. We must be the only ones who like Gibraltar. We enjoy walk into town and have a look round harbour to the left and the head into town for a browse round the shops.
  3. It is not the style of shorts that sorry me it's the legs hanging from them and black socks many seem to wear.
  4. For me the sweet spot is PG as personally don't think the slightly better menu and larger suite is worth the extra charge for QG which can be a considerable amount. Never had the need or desire to order "off menu as choice on menu in both QG and PG good enough and size of suite is not all that important to us as we like to be around the ship.
  5. Best thing is to shop around and get quotes and then approach your TA, I am guessing is same as mine. There was one TA who offered me 7% and my TA wouldnt match that but agreed to match 5%. I booked straight away because I had no interest in booking with the TA who offered me 7% due to previous issues with them just used their quote as a reference point and bargaining tool.
  6. Cunard now don't even offer Future Cruise Deposits to UK cruisers where you just paid a deposit onboard and booked at a later date. You still got the same extra OBC as if you had booked onboard but they have stopped it since COVID to UK cruisers. Surprisingly and rather annoyingly they still allow US citizens to book FCDs.
  7. Yes you can I also use a cruise TA that many use on here and is possibly the same. On my last cruise booking for QA on Cunard they offered me just under 2% discount on top of cruise line price. When asked if I wanted to go ahead with booking I said not at the moment was asked if I had received a better offer. I told her I had been offered 5% discount and was told she would speak to her supervisor and to ring me back. I have booked many times with them so 5% isn't offered automatically and she returned my call within 5 minutes and said they would match that offer.
  8. So when you put that message why did you quote me in post #9.
  9. I am not desperate just didn't think there was a 710 Club on Iona with there being mention of it. Thought it was just on Arvia until I checked deck plan and found it on Iona.
  10. Perhaps is on the App but prior toy cruise there is no mention of 710 Club in MyPOCruises for my upcoming cruise.
  11. P4C do not have parking facilities within the dock area at Southampton. They pick up and drop your car off from short stay car parks at terminals. They take your car out of the dock area and park east of Ocean Terminal on an industrial estate a short drive away.
  12. We have docked twice in Arrecife in the last 18 months both at different docks and both times shuttles dropped off at different places. So depending on where the ship docks and whether you have mobility issues certainly wouldn't say it was not worth it.
  13. You can book speciality restaurants 2 weeks before your cruise. We are on 4th March and can book from 18th February.
  14. We'll have just looked at a deck plan and there is a 710 Club but there is no mention of it in MyPOCruises.
  15. Didn't know there was a 710 club on Iona only Arvia.
  16. I would complain if I saw Rob Brydon on a cruise.
  17. But if CPS are contracted to Carnival UK and don't supply parking to any other cruise lines, which they don't, it is not pricing or competition problem.
  18. I don't think it is of interest to CMA as CPS have a contract with Carnival UK and sole supplier of parking with them so obviously agreement on pricing between them would be normal practice.
  19. Sorry but just proves to be that you have to take what molecrochip with a pinch of salt and not take everything he says as gospel. After all its plainly obvious he works for Carnival UK and has to be under there restraints on what he says.
  20. There is a buffet restaurant to attend if you don't want to visit main dining room on formal nights. You don't have to wear dinner suits on formal nights a suit and tie is perfectly acceptable. With regards to wearing shorts acceptable in restaurants during the day but not in the evenings.
  21. Any company whether it be a cruise or land based are only as good as how they handle complaints. Without doubt the first port of call (pardon the pun) is to complain to the company and give them the chance to put things right. I hate when people wait until they get home off a cruise and complain on social media but have not approached reception to put it right.
  22. We have booked inside cabins on QM2 many times whilst doing roundtrip TAs. We like the midship ones on deck 5 very convenient and low down in case of bad weather and rough seas. We have looked at inside cabins in other areas of the ship but deck 13 is too high up and far forward for us. We did have a similar cabin on deck 11 and the movement was very noticeable.
  23. No you cannot you choose whatever time you want on the day as long as it is between opening hours of restaurant you just turn up.
  24. Problem is if everyone did that there would be utter chaos in check-in and you would be made to wait a considerable time. All embarkation times are given so a steady flow of passengers arrive instead of everyon arriving at the same time.
  25. Just go on P&Os website and put drinks package in search and all will be explained.
