  1. Sorry but just proves to be that you have to take what molecrochip with a pinch of salt and not take everything he says as gospel. After all its plainly obvious he works for Carnival UK and has to be under there restraints on what he says.
  2. There is a buffet restaurant to attend if you don't want to visit main dining room on formal nights. You don't have to wear dinner suits on formal nights a suit and tie is perfectly acceptable. With regards to wearing shorts acceptable in restaurants during the day but not in the evenings.
  3. Any company whether it be a cruise or land based are only as good as how they handle complaints. Without doubt the first port of call (pardon the pun) is to complain to the company and give them the chance to put things right. I hate when people wait until they get home off a cruise and complain on social media but have not approached reception to put it right.
  4. We have booked inside cabins on QM2 many times whilst doing roundtrip TAs. We like the midship ones on deck 5 very convenient and low down in case of bad weather and rough seas. We have looked at inside cabins in other areas of the ship but deck 13 is too high up and far forward for us. We did have a similar cabin on deck 11 and the movement was very noticeable.
  5. No you cannot you choose whatever time you want on the day as long as it is between opening hours of restaurant you just turn up.
  6. Problem is if everyone did that there would be utter chaos in check-in and you would be made to wait a considerable time. All embarkation times are given so a steady flow of passengers arrive instead of everyon arriving at the same time.
  7. Just go on P&Os website and put drinks package in search and all will be explained.
  8. If you chose to change from fixed to open dining to guarantee you early sitting I don't think there would be any problem eating early especially at 5-30pm. But I think the MDR would not have many diners in and would have very little atmosphere. I do not what system is used as never cruised with open dining on Cunard, but on other cruise lines they generally ask if you want a table for 2 or would you be happy to share. It is then up to you and if you want to share usually you tell the size of table required.
  9. I am not suggesting it is something I would do just giving the Op information as requested.
  10. We have only used coach once and we had to be picked up at Keele services on M6. Which is north for us so going in opposite direction to Southampton. When we got on coach, which had come from Glasgow, we set off and coach driver announced next service station was stopping an hour for breakfast. Obviously those who had been on from Glasgow were delighted for us we had been on coach and service station for 1.5hrs and was as close to home than when we started. Never again.
  11. Less than a mile and depending on ability and what luggage you are carrying would take less than 30 mins.
  12. No official EITA required as yet for UK travellers travelling to Europe, it has been put back to November 2033.
  13. Cannot see H&S as a valid excuse as it is currently being prepared and served tableside in some of the restaurants on Cunard.
  14. Yes and like I said just your opinion many over 25s wear light blue denim and look elegant and just as smart as dark denim.
  15. Does it really matter which way you walk around promenade deck. Who really cares.
  16. QE is our favourite but we sailed on QV as we only sail from Southampton so currently have no option. We had no complaints on the standard or cleanliness of the ship but 1 or 2 meals at lunch in PG were very poor quality. I just hope they improve for November when we go on her again.
  17. No you will still get the applicable OBC
  18. Don't forget if you book Early Saver you are not guaranteed of a cabin in a higher grade and even though classified as an upgrade might not be in a better position.
  19. Let's hope he realises what day he goes and turns up for the right date 😁
  20. I shouldn't think it will be before September and probably later than that.
  21. Or change cruise lines altogether. Wouldn't pay the high prices P&O charge for balcony cabins on Aurora/Arcadia would prefer Queen Victoria with gar better food and cruise experience.
